Vacation rentals with a fireplace in Pelkosenniemi

Our stay at Tarja and Scott’s house was one of the best adventures of our lives. Even before the trip, they were very kind and helpful. When we arrived, we were warmly welcomed and had everything we needed. The house was cozy and warm, with plenty of firewood. There is also a beautiful kota near the house where we could cook on the fire and watch the northern lights. We were lucky to see the aurora five nights in a row. Scott also gave us great advice about hiking and kindly let us stay a bit longer on our last day. Before we left, we had a nice talk and learned more about his life. We will always remember this peaceful place by the lake and hope to return one day. :)

We had the greatest stay at Kosti’s ! He’s the best host we could ask for. He’s always available when you need anything, and makes sure for your stay to be as welcoming as possible. The sauna and pool are really nice to enjoy, and the location is perfect. The (then frozen) river next to the house offered us the possibility to watch wonderful auroras, and the proximity the Ounasvaraa ski station allowed us to enjoy it as much as possible. I could only recommend you to stay at Kosti’s place if you want your stay to be the best, and feel as a local.

Juhas Villa is one of the best accommodations i‘ve been to during all my Journeys. It‘s located very beautiful and private near a huge lake. The Villa is spacious and equipped very well. It‘s 30 minutes from Ranua by car away. So it’s a good Place to visit for example the Ranua Wildlife Park. We also Went to Korouoma Canyon from Juhas Villa. It’s easy to get to the Villa by car, Even in Winter when the streets are a Little Snowy. We (5 people) have been there in March with a rentalcar. Juha is so friendly, Helpful and polite! He Went icefishing with us on the lake and offered us warm Drinks and Snacks. The best things of the Villa were the Sauna, the whirlpool and spotting the polarlights out of the livingroom. I can absolutely recommend Juhas Villa and I‘d love to come back, maybe in Summer next time! Everything was Perfect, thank you!

The house was really friendly with a good overall atmosphere. It was perfect for these 4 nights with some friends. The view is beautiful from the house, the sauna is pretty authentic, and we really enjoyed laying in the fresh snow afterwards.

Accommodation as described, very good for two people. The location is peaceful, but it's easy to get around by car. Recommended!😊

A beautiful villa in a stunning setting. Would love to return one day.

Cosy cabin is exactly that, warm and cosy. Our family of 2 adults and 2 kids enjoyed our stay in ounasvaara woods. It’s such a peaceful beautiful location in the middle of stunning walking trails. 5 min walk to a viewing point where we saw the northern lights. The cabin was equipped with everything needed for our 3 night stay, including sleds for the kids. Kaisa was a great host and very kind to allow us a late checkout.

Fun cabin in Lapland near Ruka resort. Janina was super responsive and very helpful with any questions. Provided great hiking information, and good food recommendations all the way down into what to order off each menu. (The #22 at the pizza place, yum!) Quiet location with a comfy bed, nice living area and well equipped kitchen. Great stay.

We had a first-class stay at Janne's place. Everything met our expectations. Jannes' place is spacious and has a private sauna and a fireplace, which we also used extensively. The property is also a perfect starting point for many activities in the area. The equipment that Janne offers was also all in very good condition. We didn't see Janne in person because we were on the go every time, but he's a great host who was always available. Check-in and check-out were simple and straightforward. Definitely a recommendation!

We loved the place, near Ruka skiing place and near Kuusamo also. You can find everything you need for the stay. We come in low season so almost everywhere is closed, but thanks to the place we have so many spices to cook. Good value 👍🏻

Beautiful and very clean apartement with your own sauna. The kitchen was well equipped. Miia was a reliable and friendly host. We are coming again.

Very cozy, functional and tidy cottage right next to the slopes and trails. The location is still very peaceful. Everything you need within walking distance.

The best thing about the success of the accommodation is that as long as the schedules are met, I will book the same accommodation ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ again if possible. Communication with Katri was very smooth. It was easy to get to the accommodation by public transport and the walk to Ruka village was suitable. The neighborhood was peaceful. The sauna was nice at the end of a long day outdoors and the bed was comfortable to sleep in. Everything else needed was found in the accommodation. Big thanks to Katri!

Great stay excellent communication

I had an incredible time staying at Svetlana’s cabin! The location was perfect and a short drive to Santa Claus Village and the perfect getaway place to Lapland. The space itself was exactly as described - clean, spacious, and comfortable. Svetlana was very tentative and checkin on us to ensure we got everything we need. She even notify us the Aurora outside our cabin!

We had an absolutely wonderful stay! The house was beautiful! We got to see the northern lights from the Jacuzzi on the porch! We will definitely stay here again!

Our stay at Arcticmint was an incredible experience, the peaceful and picturesque location on a lakeshore was mesmerising. The villa was beautifully appointed and spacious with all the comforts one could need but the star of the stay was our host Jaana, who was so caring, funny and dedicated to making our stay perfect, part of the reason we booked and we were so right in that decision. With experiences such as a delicious Finnish dinner cooked in front of us (whilst we we popping out to look at The Northern Lights) to forest skiing with her brother-in-law Kyle who runs ArcticFox adventures and had such an amazing aspect and passion for nature and the environment, to accompanying us on our snowmobile tour, Jaana was there making it exceptional. Every box was ticked on this Finnish adventure we could not have wished for more.

We had a good time at the place. The house is big, comfortable and warm. The double bed is very comfortable. Kitchen well equipped maybe some of the equipment need refreshment. If you need firewood more then provided bring your own or be ready to work hard with an axe. We were a couple but the house is more family/ group friendly. All in all a good experience.

We had an incredible stay at this beautiful lake house — the views were absolutely magical and serene. The home was cozy, well-equipped, and perfect for a peaceful winter getaway. We loved exploring the snowy surroundings and can’t wait to come back!
