Welcome to Piilopirtti, an atmospheric log cabin on the Arctic Circle, on the shores of Lake Kemijärvi, just 7 km from Suomutunturi. The cottage is located on a large plot of land and has spacious views of the lake and the surrounding landscape. From the village you can take the ferry to a beautiful sandy beach. The starting point of the ski trails is 2 km away, but you can go straight from the yard to the lake ice to ski. For fishermen, Lake Kemijärvi offers abundant catches. Cloudberries, blueberries and lingonberries are waiting for pickers right at the corner of the cabin.

We offer accommodation in connection with our cottage on the beautiful shores of Lake Kemijärvi. The price of the accommodation includes the use of a sleeping barn, a separate kitchen cabin, a sauna and an outdoor toilet. The cottage is located 12 km from the center of Kemijärvi. The log cabin has beds for two. Electricity + heating. Well-equipped kitchen. No running water. The hosts take care of the drinking water in the kitchen. Fireplace. Washing in the sauna, the use of the sauna is agreed with the hosts. The hosts use the other buildings on the premises.

Accommodation for 3, up to 5 beds for those sleeping in their own sleeping bags. The kitchenette has a hot plate, microwave, refrigerator, kettle, toaster and dishes (glasses, mugs, plates, coffee presses, cutlery, etc.). There are showers in the adjacent beach sauna. Composting wood toilet. The sauna is wood-heated. If necessary, we will guide you in heating the sauna. Available in summer and early autumn.

Pölökkylä - A wilderness cabin on the shore of a lake

Located on the shores of a beautiful and clean lake, this log cabin is perfect for those who love nature and want to spend their vacation relaxing without any neighbors. There's a boat on the beach of the cottage. The cottage and sauna are heated with wood. The fridge and stove run on gas. Domestic water is carried from the lake and the water is heated in the water tank of the sauna stove. Electricity is provided by solar panels. There is an outdoor toilet in the yard. During the winter season, solar panels are not in use.

Enjoy the peaceful atmosphere of the old and idyllic school in its spacious upstairs apartment (k, oh, 2mh, sauna/toilet/shower, 2 hallways). The beautiful surroundings offer wonderful outdoor opportunities - the ski trail to the nearby hills starts from the yard, the adjacent lake allows ice fishing, in the summer you can hike and pick berries in the nearby hills, a rowing boat is waiting on the school beach. The kitchen is well equipped for cooking. The apartment and courtyard are well suited for families with children.

Charming cottage with all the amenities on a large plot. The distance to the center of Rovaniemi is only about 25 km. The distance to Santa Claus Village or the airport is also about 25 km. No public transport. The roads are well maintained even in winter. The cottage is easy to get to. If you wish, transportation can be arranged by Mercedes Benz Vito car for an additional fee. Our “nature park” is perfect for those who enjoy peace and quiet and the natural environment, for families with children, for those looking for the northern lights and the starry sky in winter, and for ice climbers in Korouoma. Having a private lake allows for ice fishing and other outdoor activities on the ice, as well as boating in the summer.
