The perfect getaway with magnifico views. Great hosts, super good food, open to help and organize what you need. Very nice jacuzzi with hot / cold water like a bath-tub. The only small problem are forficula bugs and spiders but if you want natural surroundings than that is the costs. All in all I highly recommend this place for a couple escape. We got lucky and the horses where there to see us when we woke up.

We stayed at the wonderful Fontanaro villa in the village of Paciano, and it was truly a soul-refreshing experience. Lucia is an incredibly caring host, and Pam, who looked after our stay, was a real treasure. She not only provided excellent recommendations on places to visit but also took care of reservations, ensuring we had nothing to worry about. This was not just an ordinary stay; it was a unique experience. We had the opportunity to participate in an olive oil tasting and a cooking class—both activities left an indelible impression. The villa we stayed in was not only stunningly beautiful but also boasted an impressive wine cellar with an extraordinary collection. Overall, our stay at Fontanaro villa exceeded all expectations. It was more than just accommodation—it was an experience we will never forget.

What a great place to stay. Everything we needed during our stay was available, from a cot for our baby to an iron and a full kitchen etc. The location was great for Tuscany, with Siena, Montelpulciano and others an easy drive away. The pool was just what we needed in the afternoons to cool down and relax after spending our mornings out and about. We hosted a dinner with family in the large dining table overlooking the pool, a lovely end to our stay at a superb family spot.

Best place to stay in Gubbio

Gianluca was a very caring host. Accessibility and communication easy, straightforward and fast - in very good English. The property is ideal for anyone looking for peace and privacy. The house has everything you need for a nice holiday including a large pool, sauna and hot tub. Gianluca recommended us very good restaurants and excursion destinations. Above all, many insider tips, i.e. no tourist strongholds but local ones where locals eat. We will be happy to come back 😊 Thank you Gianluca 👍

This place is truly a 10/10. I’ve stayed at dozens of BNBs over this year and I have to say that this is one of my absolute favorites. Every detail, from the decor to the cleanliness to the nature to the spaciousness, is phenomenal. I cannot recommend this place highly enough! One thing to keep in mind is that it’s nestled quite far into the mountains so whenever we went on day trips like to Pienza or Pitigliano, it was always around an hour drive or more.

If you want to experience the Tuscany of your dreams, then this is the place to stay! The pictures are accurate but do not do justice to the beauty you will experience. Birds chirping and bees buzzing around the fragrant jasmine and roses bring peace and calm as you gaze out over the olive grove to the surrounding hillsides with views of Pienza, other towns and a retired monastery. Frank and Phil are incredibly gracious hosts and will not steer you wrong with recommendations, including wonderful restaurants, beautiful churches and abbeys, and wineries. The garden cottage is quite private and you will have no intrusions. Sitting on the patio with a glass of wine, some local cheese, and a good book was our favorite escape.

The "il Cottage" accommodation is a lovely two bedroom apartment that is right next to the fortress (which makes it even more evocative). Francesca and Aliek welcomed us with kindness and professionalism, making us feel like we are in our home. Their whole family was very nice and helpful, including dogs, cats, and donkeys who were an unexpected and very enjoyable company for us. The fortress is located in a very quiet area but at the same time close to the main tourist attractions of Umbria easily reachable by car, at most in a couple of hours. Absolutely recommended for both couples and families, or simply for people who love tranquility and beauty .

Our stay at Gabriele's place was great and we enjoyed the week we have with him. The house has a cinematic sweeping view of the Tuscan countryside and the pool just like that. The pool is perfect for cooling off on the hot summer days. The house is beautiful, rustic, clean and cool. Air conditioning also helps. We have been a family of 4, with children of 4 and 7 years. We have enjoyed it every day! Gabriele and his wife were very friendly, welcoming and always easy to reach if needed. They helped make our stay just perfect. Thanks to them! We can only recommend a stay with Gabriele and his “Le Capannacce”.

We spent a beautiful and relaxing week of vacation in the restored barn of Villa Parigini . The house is very quiet, cozy and comfortable and is well organized. It has a nice garden and pool to cool off and relax. Great location to visit Siena and the Chianti area. Giada and her mom are very kind and helpful Hosts. We look forward to coming back.

I was looking for a spacious, comfortable place with pleasant outdoor features. I found it here. Beautiful, rural, Tuscan surroundings, yet only 20 minutes from Cortona: a great hill town of middling size. Plenty of room for 4 - 6 people with very good sleeping arrangements. Convenient kitchen, washer, and furnishings helped make my almost 3 week stay enjoyable. Definitely benefitted by the instructions, you tube video, and good communication. Would certainly consider another stay if in the area again!

The description is exactly at the house. Lots of privacy. Fantastic view. Very clean and very friendly host. Warmly welcomed upon arrival and a clear explanation. There are two real booklets made with tips to do in the area. Furthermore, the private chef is highly recommended. Super good food and learned a lot about Italian cuisine. Patience with cooking is the magic word. Simple, but oh so tasty. Luca is a really friendly chef. The house is cozily furnished with all amenities. We were able to enjoy the garden and pool (partly because of the very nice weather). Despite the time of the year and water temperature 18 degrees, we regularly sat around the pool and were able to have a drink and swim. We can't wait to go again. Daniela’s place was spacious for our family of five. She was there to greet us upon arrival and give us the grand tour. Provided us with nearby attractions, which we attended. Our stay was in October and the pool was ready for us, we had a visit from a cat, whom we named Giuseppe and an indoor fireplace made the house toasty warm. We enjoyed our stay here and would come back.

Ulisse's was really helpful as he met me at his restaurant and I followed him to the cottage. There is a coop, a butchers, a bakery and a little supermarket in Buccine and a small market on Wednesday mornings, which is really handy as there is not much around the cottage. It is in the middle of the country side surrounded by vineyards and nature, a perfect place for nature lovers. Ulisse, his wife and daughter were all really helpful and quick to resolve issues. For anyone trying to find it, have the petrol station and ristorante di ciccio on your left then continue straight on the SP540 , once you pass ristorante le bottega grassa ( a white building on your right) it is your next right turn ( the dump where you need to dispose of your rubbish from the cottage is on the right of this road) then take your next left signed "Le Mura" you continue down this road until a big yellow and white hse on the left and the big stone house on the right, the cottage is beside the stone house.

The house itself is a gem in the heart of a charming landscape full of peace and beauty. But beyond that, Nurit helped us in an extraordinary way to make our stay there particularly successful. This is especially in light of our failure to rent a car. She was in touch, incredibly available and with golden advice throughout our stay!

Laura is the perfect host and the house is really amazing: very large and stylish, with a nice private garden and pool area. The best rental place ever!

We had a wonderful time at the cottage in Cennina. The setting was absolutely beautiful. We felt remote yet were just a few minutes from nearby Ambra and Bucine. We highly recommend this place and we hope to return soon.

Fiona is a great host. She was really friendly and always eager to help. The house is super cosy and well equipped. The kitchen is great, there was everything we needed to cook delicious Italian dishes. We loved the fire burner. I can highly recommend this quiet place to anyone willing to rest from the bustling city life. The internet connection could be better but this is a very remote location so there’s probably nothing the host can do to improve it. The pool closes in October. It was too cold there to use it but it could have been mentioned in the offer. The quite high (300 eur) deposit for electricity was required and this should have been mentioned as well. It hasn’t been returned to us yet so I can’t say how high the bill for electricity could be. Anyway, this is a really nice place and we had a great time there.

Our family enjoyed a delightful week-long reunion at Cassale Poggio Baggio. Silvia's property provided an ideal setting for relaxation and togetherness, comfortably accommodating guests traveling from various global locations. Its convenient proximity to Castiglione del Lago, Panicale, Paciano, Cortona, and Montepulciano, among other notable destinations, offered ample sightseeing opportunities. The abundance of nearby vineyards further enhanced our experience with wine tasting excursions. The house itself was fully equipped, including a complete kitchen and laundry facilities, along with a generous selection of books and games. Camila's assistance with check-in and check-out, coupled with a tour of her olive orchard and vegetable garden, including a tasting of her produce, exceeded our expectations.
