Norikura Kogen/Pension Poetical

MattRating, 5 stars1 week ago
We enjoyed a very special stay at this idyllic pension lodgings run by a family who were extremely welcoming and went out their way to help us. We appreciated their warm attentiveness at breakfast and dinner which were very tasty, while catering to my gluten-free diet and introducing us to new dishes. The indoor and outdoor private onsens were a fun experience and particularly relaxing after a long day exploring the amazing local waterfalls or a trip to breathtaking Kamikochi. Our room was very spacious with multiple windows to enjoy the alpine views. This was one of our favourite places we stayed in Japan and we will definitely remember the kindness we were shown!

Chalet - 2 Futon beds - Share bathroom

WangRating, 5 stars5 months ago
The place is secluded, tug a few hundred meters away from the busy main town, yet very accessible to the town and ski resort by foot. I came in the winter and the scenery is just unreal. The house itself is wooden structure and it's warm and very cozy, feel right at home. Even though it is shared bathroom and toilet, they were all maintained very well and clean. I stayed in a single room that is actually large enough to fit three people, which made me very comfortable. Lastly, Ado is an amazing person, straight forward, reasonable, helpful, cool and very friendly. The other staffs were also very chill to vibe with. Overall, my stay here was excellent, and I would recommend this place to anyone who is in no hurry, and just want a place to chill, or just want a cozy place to rewind after a long day of adventure out there. 這間乾淨,溫暖,老闆員工好相處,非常酷又很有家的感覺。是個出去玩一天後可以好好休息的地方。

Myoko Guest House Bunk | Premium Room

SarahRating, 5 stars4 months ago
Our stay in Myoko was made absolutely perfect thanks to our incredible Airbnb host, Sasa! From the moment we booked, his communication was prompt and friendly. He picked us up when we arrived late to Akakura Onsen during heavy snowfall! The accommodation itself was spotless, cozy, and well-equipped with everything we needed after long days on the slopes. The location was ideal - just a 15 minute walk into town. What truly made the experience special was Sasa’s warmth and hospitality. He went above and beyond, providing a delicious breakfast every morning, drive us to a different ski resort every day and pick us up in the afternoon, gave us so much advice and help, and one of the members of our group injured his knee, Sasa very generously would drive us into town for dinner as he couldn’t walk anymore. It felt less like staying at an Airbnb and more like visiting a friend’s home. We left Myoko with amazing memories and a deep appreciation for Sasa’s kindness. We HIGHLY recommend!

The lodge is absolutely stunning, with breathtaking views of the surrounding mountains and a serene atmosphere. The rooms are not only spacious but also incredibly comfortable and tastefully decorated. The hosts were incredibly friendly and helpful, always available to answer our questions and provide recommendations for local attractions. The breakfast was not only delicious but also varied and plentiful. We especially enjoyed the fresh, locally sourced ingredients and the homemade sourdough bread. Thank you for everything.

It was a short overnight stay, but we had a pleasant stay. The host is Dutch and the staff is English-speaking, but even though I can't speak English very well, I was able to communicate to some extent.Everyone was helpful. I heard that there are many guests from overseas, but I think it's also an opportunity to interact with people from overseas while in Japan, so I thought it would be good for Japanese people who can't speak English very well to stay.
