Vacation home rentals in Ohio River

Was upset at first because they informed us the day of our arrival that the hottub broke but they were very caring and accommodated us for it and took action to fix it right away. The only thing is make sure you bring extra supplies like garbage bags, toilet paper, etc. as they only supply one of each. Also lots of geese droppings walking down to water but goes with being on a lake. Make sure you check your GPS settings so it doesn't take you backroads, learned that one. No garage so vehicle gets very hot, sunshade helps and deck is hot, no umbrella for shade to sit out at table. Overall beautiful place and Gunner was pleasant and pleasure to deal with any issues we had.

The host called the day before to confirm everything with us . They also let us check in a little early and made our stay very enjoyable . The house was beautiful . The hill going down to the property and down to the lake were a little tough but it was beautiful and made it worth it all . We would stay again for sure .

This house was amazing! We had the most amazing time and felt right at home. Lots of space! Everyone had the best time from our 1 year olds to the adults! Gorgeous views and so peaceful!

Happy with my stay at Sammy’s place. The home was clean and had everything listed available. The main bed was comfortable and we slept well. The instruction for our stay were simple and clear. Sammy was quick with responses and friendly when we happened to meet him at the end of our stay. The home is right next to the boat ramp but we had no issues with people being loud and everyone was respectful of the property. Would definitely stay again should be be in the area in the future.

Abigail and Lindsey were great! There wasn't hot water upon our arrival. A plumber was out to replace the water heater that day. Hosts were extremely responsive and proactive in solving this issue. This was our second stay here. We loved it and hope that life brings us back this way again.

We enjoyed our long stay and would 100% stay there again if in the area.

Has a private valentines getaway and it was perfect! The house is very cute and looks even better than the photos! It snowed while we were there and it looked amazing. Restaurants are about 10-20 minutes away so plan accordingly. We went to Kimu and it was delicious. The home is very cozy and perfect for 2-4 people.

Tony was very quick to respond and very transparent about everything. Everything was exactly as listed and he went above and beyond to make check in very easy. Very attentive to detail and super nice. Pete was amazing and the nicest person ever. He made himself available 24/7 and did an amazing job at making sure everything was clean and that we had everything we would need. It was quiet and peaceful. Would definitely recommend and I will most definitely try to book there again on my next trip in.

The home was lovely decorated, which gave it a homey feeling. The back porch was amazing experience... large table for when our family visited, comfortable seating, screened porch, fun lighting, ceiling fans. The bed was very comfortable and plenty of drawer space for our clothes. The kitchen was adequate. The purple irises bloomed while we were there... gorgeous!! TV worked great... lots of channels and apps. The backyard was very roomy and had a great firepit.

Awesome, wonderful, throwback are just a few words to describe this place. We’ve stayed at many Airbnb homes and this one ranks right up there with the best! So much space! Most importantly to me is always the bed and it was the best! I always look for someone to say something about the bed because that will make it or break it for me to book it. The host was so very thoughtful, leaving us a card and gifts for our celebrations of birthday and anniversary. But the true spectacularness is the decor, transforming you back in time along with all the comfort. This place truly shines! The morning we left a mama deer with her fawn strolled right out front! One of our best stays in HH!

A cabin tucked away in the woods, the sound of the river, peace and quiet… doesn’t that sound like the perfect vacation? This place is absolutely beautiful — you can read a book by the river, listen to the birds, go fishing, take long walks, or warm up by the fire. The cabin itself is lovely: clean, cozy, and full of charm. In a world of constant media noise, endless notifications, and mindless scrolling, we can’t recommend this kind of nature escape enough. We’re so grateful — this was exactly what we needed. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts!

Beautiful property! Perfect for my niece’s wedding accommodations, including rehearsal dinner. Peaceful and yet close enough to shopping and restaurants, as well as the other venues for the weekend. Lloyd was friendly and helpful when we couldn’t get a light to work. He quickly replaced the batteries in the remote and it worked. Would absolutely recommend it and stay here again if we’re ever in the area.

Amanda! We absolutely loved our stay at this apartment! It’s elegant, clean, and beautifully designed, with everything you need for a comfortable stay. The beds and pillows were incredibly cozy, ensuring a great night’s sleep. We spent the weekend here with friends, and it was the perfect retreat. The location is fantastic—just a short drive to Beech Mountain for skiing, and the view from the apartment is simply amazing. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a relaxing and scenic getaway!

Sam's place was fantastic! We had some of our kids and grandkids with us and there was so much to do, and Sam provided plenty of toys for the house and pool, towels for the pool, coffee and snacks and great recommendations for restaurants and things to do in the area. This is a great location for those with young kids and those that enjoy visiting horse farms and distilleries. Sam was a great host, checking that we had all we needed and even coming by when we arrived to ensure we knew how everything worked. If we go back to Lexington, we will stay here again!

The space was beautiful, restful, and secluded. This is a unique property with a cool history and interesting design touches. Renters should understand they are paying for a maybe home in a beautiful, secluded space with outdoors recreation nearby. Many amenities I have come to take for granted in Airbnbs are not included. If you forget something, you will not find it here.

The space was warm and welcoming. Very short walk to coffee shop, ice cream store, shopping and restaurants. One bedroom had a private bath. Was quiet. Plan to return next year.

Highly recommend this home! Beautiful private location that had tons of parking for my guys and very clean. Looking forward to booking again in the future when we are back in the area for work.
