Vacation rentals with a kayak in Ohio River

Had everything we needed to cook so we could hang out on the beautiful property and enjoy nature. Home was well stocked with paper products and soaps and is decorated beautifully. Our little dog appreciated the dog beds.

What an absolute gem of a stay. The property is impeccably maintained and so beautiful. The guests house that we stayed in was so comfortable and very clean. The bed is quite possibly the most comfortable bed I have ever slept on. The pool and the hot tub are perfect. The doggo’s are super sweet and lovable. Danielle and the rest of the team are all very smart and a pleasure to talk with. We will definitely be referring the place to our friends and will be back ourselves every year as long as it’s available.

Anthony kept a very clean Airbnb and was very flexible and easy to work with, would highly recommend!

Krista was always kind, responded almost instantly to questions, provided canoes and kayaks for lovely paddle into the wilderness and shared her most lovable and friendly cat.. Toby who was always ready to greet and love upon us 😊

We had a beautiful weekend here! The porch, pool and kayaks made the weekend amazing. The house is large and has lots of space! The owners were very responsive and made the weekend perfect!

Swan's Nest is cozy and comfortable and located in beautiful surroundings. This was my second stay and I hope to be back next year.

We had a wonderful time at Josh's Sanctuary!! The place was so beautiful! I highly recommend this beautiful gem! We were there for my wedding with family. Lots of things to do. Perfect place for my grandchildren! Josh is very responsive and kind! Thank you Josh for letting us make memories at the Sanctuary!

Every year the grounds get more mature and beautiful!! The owners are always such a pleasure to interact with and the thought put into all the wonderful outdoor activities are remarkable! We do a large family glamping trip yearly, something we always look forward to!

We came to visit family that lived in the surrounding area and we found this listing. My family sounded unsure when I told them that the location was in Decatur -but they couldn't believe it when they saw it. It's really a hidden gem in a great location. Additionally the amenities were all modern and worked well, really felt like home. There was plenty of indoor and outdoor space to unwind. Our family played a bunch of board games that we brought but there were some classic games at the Airbnb. It's worth noting everyone in the family that stayed had high praise of the mattresses and bedding, some places are kind of barebones but this one was pretty good and comfortable. Throughout the house there were great labels that were easy to see while still being discreet for finding things such as towels or various cookware, just about any question we could have had was answered just with our basic walkthrough when we arrived.

Mary,Will and (Lily...dog) were wonderful, very friendly stopped over to introduce themselves. We had a slight issue first night, we called and they had someone there the next day....I'm positive if we lived close we would be friends! Their property is just beautiful with the house probably no more than 30 feet from the Little Miami River. We will definitely go back. They are wonderful hosts you can't go wrong with their cottage...I mentioned we were vegan and Mary had vegan snacks for us! Thank you again for your hospitality.

We loved our long weekend at the cottage! It was such a peaceful setting that allowed us to relax and recharge. The lake-view from the deck, in the morning and evenings was awesome. It was a little too chilly for water activities, but we look forward to returning in the summer and taking full advantage of ‘lake life!’ The host was so accommodating. We loved the location in proximity to the daily activities we were doing-Creation Museum/Newport, visiting distilleries in Frankfort and the local Ark Encounter.

Our stay at The CliffTop Cottage was very enjoyable. It is very clean, well furnished and cozy, with thoughtful touches throughout. The surrounding area is beautiful and it was very peaceful. We plan to stay there again when we are in the area.

David’s cabin was inviting, peaceful and a perfect getaway. We loved the sauna, hot tub and fire pit. We will definitely be back and highly recommend this spot to anyone looking for a beautiful escape into nature.

Our stay was a week at the end of May 2025. The Cicadas were loud and active. The heavy rains and high lake levels caused logs and debris to basically block our dock so we couldn’t use the provided kayaks or paddle boards… just Mother Nature. We did enjoy a couple of bonfires in the evenings with plenty of firewood provided. S’mores were also supplied along with forks. There were a lot of sitting areas on the porch and decks and yard. The cottage was clean with a spacious living room and kitchen, lovely decorated with plenty of dishes and linens supplied. There is a dollar store and an ice-cream store 10 minutes away. All in all our family enjoyed this cottage.

great location. very cozy and relaxed. if you're an nature lover. you'll be right at home. this is my second time staying and will continue to come back

The hosts were very responsive, the inside of the casita was exactly as described. Would recommend to anyone looking for a quiet getaway.

Had a peaceful and quiet stay, exactly what I was looking for. It was the perfect spot for a relaxing weekend getaway. The atmosphere was calm, the surroundings were beautiful, and it made for a fun little trip to unwind and recharge. Would definitely come back!

Our family really enjoyed staying at this beautiful cabin on our visit to Kentucky. With the screened in porch and back deck, it was a great space for us. The cabin itself was cozy and warm. We felt like we were staying at a friends house. It was the best stocked kitchen I’ve ever had in an Airbnb as well! Great for cooking, grilling and baking. Every time I reached out to our hosts, they were quick to respond and help. I highly recommend the new pizza place on the corner too! It’s only open on the weekends, but it’s a great spot.

This place was perfect for a weekend getaway. The place was clean and felt like home. The backyard area with the fire pit was perfect and the ability to purchase the whiskey barrel staves directly from him made it incredibly easy.

Cozy spot right on the lake. Aaron was a great host, communicated well.

Barb's place was extremely serene and private. It's a Birder's paradise. Easy put in/ take out spot for kayaking. The cottage was very cute and clean. The back deck and hot tub were nice and relaxing. Will stay again.

The entire experience from beginning to end was nothing short of perfect. The host was very quick to respond and provided clear, easy instructions for check in/out. The cabin itself was absolutely stunning and everything I had hoped it would be. It was equipped with everything one may need and more! Would absolutely recommend this cabin for anyone with a large family. Will be booking with this host again in the future!

Beautiful, secluded, peaceful place to unwind with the family!! The six of us had plenty of space to hangout inside and out. House was clean. Fishing was fine for the younger kids -lots of bluegill, a few bullheads & smaller bass. No cell service but WiFi worked really well.
