Vacation rentals with a fireplace in Oakland

A house with a personal touch with decorations of the owner’s many travels. The backyard is beautiful in spring, even fragrant, when flowers are in bloom. They are integrated into the home via some nice French doors into the kitchen.

We really loved staying at Soa's place.

Gabriele is an accomplished artist and an animal lover. The apartment is replete with art on the walls and on the shelves. There are many many interesting books. The kitchen is very well equipped and the views from the lovely breakfast nook are wonderful. (Be careful or you’ll just want to stay in and read!) We appreciated the detailed instructions for using the appliances. And best of all, everything worked! We enjoyed this place immensely.

This place really lives up to its name - Urban Oasis. It should have the word paradise added to the description. I was looking for a place to host international guests and wanted a place which they could rest and have some privacy as they recovered from jet lag. As a local resident, I found it hard to believe that such a beautiful location existed so close by. The backyard reminded me of Hawaii. It was so beautiful and serene. Albena has gone above and beyond with all her unique decorative touches, supplies for the home (from phone chargers to best selling books). We used the kitchen quite a bit and it was stocked with pots, lots of dishes, and cooking utensils and supplies. Albena was so warm and friendly and super responsive and had some great tips for what to do. I even learned a few new things. My guests would have been happy to just stay in the home and enjoy it rather than venturing out to SF. I've already recommended this place to friends. It's so delightful!

Noah's house is in a lovely section of North Berkeley — close to some great restaurants, groceries, and interesting shops on Solano Avenue (about a 10 minute walk). We needed a respite from the dog our daughter is fostering, and this well-maintained, peaceful home was perfect. We were able to get our work done (fast, reliable internet), go for walks, and recharge. Thank you, Noah!

Everything we imagined and wished for was at the Camppound. Our stay was delightful, cozy, fun, peaceful, Beautiful in and out nothing to want for everything was perfect. To Steve and Heather Thank you so kindly for your wonderful and kind welcome. We would not not have been able to do all of the things and stay the length we did for if it wasn’t for your generous cost to us during my Granddaughters graduation from Berkeley University.we will all be forever thankful and grateful , you are truly the most wonderful caring people, we were surely blessed finding this wonderful oasis and would definitely do it all over again without hesitation. This was definitely the best Air BNB we have stayed in to date. The home was beautiful and the finishes top quality. We had every amenity you could ever want or need. The beds were amazingly comfortable and had high quality sheets and blankets. The bathrooms were spotless and beautiful. The kitchen had ample supplies, dishes, and equipment. Most importantly, the coffee bar had various brewing methods (press, drip, or pods)… ;-). We love our coffee and in the morning took it outside to the comfortable outdoor space and enjoyed the warm sunshine and amazing live oak tree, birds, and squirrels. The yard was huge and so fun. Our happy golden retriever had a great time roaming and watching the squirrels in the trees. Nice shady spots for her. We couldn’t recommend this more! 10 stars Tom!!!

My daughter & I spent 2 nights on a fun Memorial Day staycation. I know the area, & was comfortable with the location, though everything has become very expensive now. Lots of great stuff a walk or transit away. Susie was very flexible & instructions were clear. We were out most of the time. The morning tea & muffins that were available at the house worked well till we recharged at one of the many local coffee shops. This is an upper floor of a 2 story home. There wasn't an AC, but we didn't need that or a fan. The bedrooms were large enough for each of us (both tall people). We didn't use the kitchen to cook anything or have a meal together so I can't comment on how that would have gone. The bathroom was tight & there was a steep set of stairs which could be a challenge for some. WiFi worked OK for my video calls. It's a good neighborhood & we felt safe. The driveway was just adequate for my small Honda Fit. Street parking is there but may not be right in front.

Wonderful place to stay. Great hiking right out the door and delicious restaurants very close! Natalie and Eugene made everything very easy and the place was spotless. Hope we’ll come back some day!

Had to extend a stay in Berkeley at the last minute and this listing was perfect. No hassle, comfortable, great location and beautiful garden. Appreciated it was small dog friendly.

Our AirBnb stay was wonderful - great location, super walkable but still on a private/quiet road. We would highly recommend staying here! The place was clean and comfortable.

Good location, easy to check in late. I'm glad they provided fans since it gets warm during the day but cooled down rapidly when we got back.

Very grateful I found this place, Michael was extremely responsive. The place had a really nice loft and bedroom. The location is perfect to walk around and explore Alameda, one of my favorite places in the Bay Area.

Very cozy little apartment, we had a good time. The location is calm. Some things in the apartment are a bit old and could need some repair, but it’s all functional.

We loved our stay at Jan’s place in Berkeley. The space was great for our trip. We absolutely loved the deck and hot-tub. We spent most evenings sitting out there for hours! You also can’t beat the views of the bay! Overall, such a wonderful stay, we would for sure go back and recommend to all our friends and family.

Ottoline’s place was safe, comfortable, peaceful, and clean. It was perfect for our weekend in the area. Otto was very helpful and responsive, and the place itself had everything we needed. The bed was incredibly comfortable, and kitchen was great to make food from the Whole Foods nearby. I would highly recommend.

Once you open the door, you are transplanted into a space where a breath is taken and a breath is held. If you are seeking a calmness, this home is the one. Pride of ownership is evident in the furnishings, personal touches and in the whole home itself. Didn’t want our stay to end.

My friends and I stayed at Seaon’s home for about a week and we felt right at home. It was a cozy spot with a beautiful outdoor porch and garden to hang out in. There was enough beds for four adults and a baby. Seaon was very easy to communicate with and also responsive when we discussed anything regarding the house. The neighborhood was fairly quiet during our stay which is always nice. We drove to Oakland, San Francisco, and parts of wine country from the house and found it to be in a good central location. I highly recommend this spot if you are looking for somewhere to stay with your group.

Beautiful neighborhood. Many walkable trails and parks with access to the Bay Trail. House is large and comfortable (great beds) and spotlessly clean. Large private backyard and very close to the tennis/pickle ball courts and pool. Only complaint is that the kitchen was not well stocked for our two week stay. We needed to borrow cooking implements and equipment from our son who lives in the area. But overall, a wonderful property and would not hesitate to return.

Our family had the most incredible weekend at Gina's beautiful home! First of all, a HEATED POOL makes all the difference, huge plus! We loved spending time in the backyard with so many beautiful outdoor areas to hangout with family, including your own private dock with a kayak! We were a little bummed the outdoor firepit wasn't working because we loved being outside so much but maybe next time. We hope to come back soon! We loved the big wooden table and big cozy couch for all 8 of us to enjoy time eating meals and playing games together! It was super convenient to have the grocery store just 6 minutes down the road as well. She was also extremely accommodating which made the stay even better!

Exceptional hilltop home! Highly recommend. Full wall of windows offers stunning views, and living room and kitchen are flooded with natural light. Immaculately clean and thoughtfully designed throughout. Entire home has a designer touch. Well-equipped kitchen had everything we needed for cooking, furniture and beds very comfortable. We enjoyed exploring the fragrant, well-maintained spring garden, with numerous blooming daffodils and hyacinths. Walking paths throughout. Geraldine was responsive and helpful, providing great recommendations for local hikes and restaurants that proved spot-on. Geraldine has clearly put careful thought into creating a comfortable, peaceful retreat. Perfect for anyone seeking a quiet getaway in a beautiful setting

The house, especially the backyard, and the neighborhood in which it is situated, are stunningly beautiful. While guests do not have access to the master bedroom, the price for the rest of the house is well worth it.
