The house is less than an hour's drive to: Bø with summerland and climbing park Kongsberg with Silver Mines and Alpinsenter/Ski Center Rjukan with world heritage, water park, climbing park and Gaustablikk with alpine and cross country skiing Gaustatoppen, Lifjell and Blefjell To Notodden with Bluesfestival, Stavkirka, Telemarksgalleriet and World Heritage there is approx. 30 min drive. It's just a matter of picking and choose in experiences and tours or to enjoy quiet days and the good life in the countryside.

Cabin on Åsen

Small cottage with charm at Øståsen in Vikersund. 40 min walk upwards from the parking lot. Here there is simple life without electricity and water. The road up is a nice trip, a bit heavy some lots. Recommend going upstairs before dark. Remember good shoes and warm cloths. At the top, the prize awaits, flat and nice with lovely views:) Bunk bed in kitchen, sofa bed in living room. Apartment 15 km from Kongsberg in scenic surroundings. The apartment has its own entrance and is located on the ground floor. The apartment consists of a large kitchen with dining area, cozy living room, hall with heating cables in the floor and a spacious and good bathroom. Private bedroom facing the forest. Suitable for 2 people, but there is a sofa bed in the living room that can be used and the apartment is equipped for 4 people. We live 380m.o.h and it is a short distance to the mountain, with nice hiking terrain and superb ski slopes in winter (3 km by car)

About 5 km to Tuven with shopping center and other large shop chains and car shops. Notodden is a great starting point for, among other things, trips to Gaustatoppen or Bø Sommarland

Norwegian country bliss by the lake

Small cabin by the lake. Perfect for a getaway from the modern world. Great for relaxing, hiking, fishing, mushrooms and berry picking and swimming. Guests can use the canoe at own risk. There are sheep grazing in the fields and a very special flower meadow. There is a outside seating area with a simple bbq. New bathroom with shower and toilet in the barn. Sauna can be rented for additional cost. Ps. there is no running water in the cabin, this is available few meters away, in the barn.

In summer, there is bathing water 5 min walk from the cabin, with swimming area, fishing opportunities and access to rowing boat. In winter, it is driven up for miles of great marked ski trails.
