Cabin on Åsen

Small cabin with charm on Øståsen in Vikersund. 40 min walk uphill from the parking lot. Here you can experience a simple life without electricity and water. The way up is a nice walk, a bit heavy in some parts. Recommended to go up before it gets dark. Remember to bring good shoes and warm clothes. At the top awaits the prize, flat and nice with beautiful views :) Bunk bed in the kitchen, sofa bed in the living room. Idyllic place in Gøynes by Tinnsjøen

The cabin is located by Tinnsjøen lake with parking right beside it. It is 6 kilometers from Mæl ferry rental in the direction of Atrå. It is 17 kilometres to Rjukan, 25 kilometres to Gaustatoppen mountain and beautiful mountain areas. Beautiful views, plenty of sun. There is no running water in the cabin, but water tap just outside. Free wood for the wood stove. When there's frost and freezing temperatures, there's no water in the tap outside. Water must be collected from the host. Rowing boat is available for free. Idyllic cabin in the mountains right by the alpine center

The cabin was completed in 1986 and renovated in 2021. The toilet and kitchen have been replaced, among other things, and a new toilet has been built in the entrance area. It is spacious with 3 bedrooms (2 available for guests) plus a loft that is popular with children. It has wooden floors and painted wooden panels on the walls. There is a newer fireplace in the living room that heats well, in addition to a heat pump that can be turned on in advance so that you arrive at a heated cabin. There is Wi-Fi and AppleTV in the cabin.
