We had a fantastic stay at Curt’s place! From start to finish, everything exceeded our expectations. The food was absolutely amazing—delicious, hearty, and filling every single time. Curt was a wonderful host who took the time to give us a tour of his beautiful property and shared so much knowledge about the local area. His recommendations for restaurants and tourist spots were all spot-on and really enhanced our trip. One of the highlights was the incredible wildlife we got to see—everything from critters to a sloth! It was truly unforgettable. On top of all that, Curt’s team went above and beyond by surprising one of our group members with a birthday cake, made fresh with only a few hours’ notice. Such a thoughtful gesture! Beautiful villa! Clean, modern, and had everything we needed. We did need to contact the host a couple of times and she was incredibly responsive and helpful. The location is perfect. Very close to the city of La Fortuna, nestled in farmland with an amazing view of the Volcano. Highly recommend!

Wow! What an amazingly beautiful home for a group to share! Loved the spacious place and clean accommodations, large outdoor seating area and the pool is perfect! Just from the house we saw a sloth, toucans, & lizards. We felt very safe with having a locked gate. The privacy was nice. I hope to be back soon!

Casa Malecu was absolutely stunning! We had an amazing stay. The view of Lake Arenal was beautiful, as were the grounds and the house. Lots of big windows to see in all directions. The highlight of our stay was the main shower that had a floor to ceiling window looking out onto Lake Arenal. Well-maintained and nicely decorated. We wish we had booked for longer. We did have an issue with our key; it broke our first day there. However, Pedro was quick to our rescue and we were with a new key in minutes. Also, the place is a little difficult to find since there are no addresses. Can’t simply plug it into an online map, instead you have to rely on landmarks. A good thing we didn’t drive in at night like we had originally intended or we probably would not have found it. For our purposes, it was close to the various areas we wanted to visit such as Arenal, La Fortuna and a 2-hour drive. We will definitely come back!!

We wish we could have stayed longer! This is such a wonderful location with stellar views. Perfect for our family. Best hosts we have ever dealt with. Amazing communication and very helpful with the entire process. You could tell how important it was for them that we enjoyed our stay. Thank you! Don't miss staying here if in Playa Hermosa.

Aqua Vida is simply amazing. Words cannot describe how you’ll feel when you see everything you get with this property. It’s off the main road in La Fortuna but it’s very safe and peaceful. You get all the privacy you want while being 5 minutes away from everything in town. A huge natural spring pool, a covered area where you can cook, have your meals or just hangout, a huge yard to play in, a stream going through the property with beautiful trees and absolutely stunning landscaping. All this and you’re still not even in the house. Book this place. You’ll be happy you did.

The view over the lake arenal is just phenomenal! The house has a huge garden with some fruits, herbs & vegetables wich we were allowed to eat. We can for sure recommend.

Great place to stay. Central location and very convenient check in and check out process. Security on the premises were also very nice. Really great we could use the pool as well!

What a great location and atmosphere and the Studio and garden is perfect with all necesities for a true beachfront vacation .. Definitely one of our best stays in Costa Rica. Sonny and Rita are the nicest most welcoming people! We will be back again as their Airbnb is a mew destination for us!!

Maria's home is tucked in a beautiful and private, but also convenient location by Lake Arenal. Maria is so welcoming, responsive, and made my birthday trip extra special with a few accommodations/touches! Would definitely return and highly recommend others.

The place was amazing! Just as described and actually even better than the photos. Everything was meticulously clean and organized. Everything you needed was inside the condominium. Extremely fast and easy check in and check out. The host was fast and extremely responsive. I definitely recommend this place. Thank you!!

An amazing place would really come back a thousand times to the place is accessible and the safety of the place makes you smile to a safe one also in a very good location to know many beaches and places. It was a vacation to remember !!

The service was amazing, beautiful views and the place was peaceful

This was a most beautiful setting. The views of Lake Arenal and the volcanal were spectacular. If you climb to the top of the property (very easy to do as it is open pasture) it is even more beautiful and the volcano is easier to see. The property both inside and out had room for a larger group than the four of us except for sleeping area. There were two queen beds and two bedrooms and also a pullout couch in the living area. The only reason I mention this is the kitchen, living room, outside patios and size of the outdoor area would lend itself to a much larger group than current sleeping arrangements afford. Melissa, our host, was very responsive to questions and problems. One bathrooms hot water was not working and she offered to have it fixed right away. We opted to just use the one bathroom so as not to interrupt our stay. Melissa seemed genuinely interested in making any suggested improvements and was a pleasure to deal with. Great location 20 minutes from La Fortuna.

My daughter and her boyfriend were there for a bike ride ride. The location was perfect for proximity to the ride and a great environment to relax following a strenuous day! There was a slight mix up with rooms, but it was quickly resolved for everyone. And, my daughter loved the replacement digs (pets included!) Kees is extremely easy to communicate with and very responsive. We highly recommend him and his accommodations.

Excelente place to stay!

We stayed at Juan's recently and were very happy! The unit itself is gorgeous with everything meeting our needs, and the host was very responsive, helpful and made the check-in and check-out process very straightforward with clear instructions. I would definitely recommend this unit and would stay here again!

Great little place, much nicer in person. Good value. Love jungle just out the door.
