Quaint 4 Bed Barn Conversion Barnhouse Starshinezz

FionaRating, 5 stars5 months ago
The photos don’t do this place justice. It really is beautiful. Quaint, spacious, clean and tidy. Plenty of facilities such as vac, mop, washing machine, dryer, cleaning products etc. Kitchen is a lovely space to all sit together. Bedrooms were very spacious and room for clothes etc. Lovely nights sleep in comfortable beds. Central heating worked a treat with log fire in the room (we didn’t need to use) including other heaters. It is lovely and warm and cosy. The views and surrounding areas are lovely. We used the hot tub which was a lovely addition and worked well been outside the conservatory part. We were a family group of mixed ages and we would absolutely stay here again. Host was great with contact prior to arrival with flexible check in/out. Overall a brilliant stay and we’ve also said we would return.
The exterior features a charming stone building with a red-tiled roof and a white door, nestled amongst greenery. The surrounding area is paved and offers a neatly maintained appearance.

Hallington Mill- Idyllic 6 Bedroomed Rural Retreat

The photos do not do the place justice - it is absolutely beautiful and so thoughtfully decorated. So much bigger than it looked online too and we had a great stay. The only issue we had was that the hot water stopped working mid way through the day. Elizabeth was super helpful and responsive to the problem but we had to be in Newcastle for early evening so it meant 6 of our party had to have freezing cold showers one day as the water took too long to come back on. Other than that, I can’t fault it. Surroundings are beautiful. So peaceful and yet close to shops, airport (25 mins), a gorgeous spa (matfen hall), and a 35 min minibus to Newcastle. Would recommend to all.

Lynnes property was such a great find. It offered us (four adults, two children, one dog), such a great place to base ourselves for our week away. The house is much bigger than it looks in the photos and it has everything you need including loads of useful items for small children (toys, plates/ bowls, toilet seat etc.). We definitely recommend Lynnes place.

We wouldn't change a thing about the place,in our eyes it was flawless and restored with a great passion. There is very nice walks through the countryside and rivers, with plenty of restaurants, take aways, pubs around the next towns within walking distance. Elvet Bridge View Apartment

NicolaRating, 5 stars1 month ago
I returned "home" to Durham as part of my sabbatical from my work in Australia. I was looking for a place close to the city, but also quiet and peaceful too. Chris' place was exactly what I was looking for. If you are lucky enough to experience the beautiful spring weather, as I did, you can enjoy sitting on the terrace watching, the ducks, rowing boats and life in general sail by. It is simply picture perfect! The apartment is beautifully furnished and has everything you could ever want! The beds are clean and comfortable and I slept better than I have in any other space that is not home! I would highly recommend and hope to back soon. If you are considering Chris' place - look no further. Just do it. You will not regret it!
A night view of the River Tyne highlights the illuminated bridges, including the iconic Millennium Bridge with its graceful arch. The water reflects the vibrant city lights, creating a serene atmosphere. Nearby, the modern architecture of the Sage Gateshead adds a contemporary touch to the scene.

Fantastic 1 bed duplex penthouse

SimonRating, 5 stars67 months ago
Apartment was absolutely perfect. It felt like we were staying in a friend’s place and every last detail was included. Location couldn’t be better and view across the Tyne was spot on. Communication with Nick was exactly how it should be, personal and fully assisting. In fact it felt like we were dealing with a friend rather than a blank profile as is the case with others. Will 100% be returning. Many thanks Nick!

Sandpiper Cottage - sea views & seconds from beach

MirandaRating, 5 stars3 weeks ago
Great place to stay, a 1-2 minute walk to the beautiful beaches. The house was clean and well equipped and was really spacious, especially downstairs. We appreciated the large sofas and kitchen with good space to sit and eat. The main bedroom had a good, comfy bed and the two single rooms have a view of the sea. Great to have towels, tea towel, washing up stuff and basics like oil and salt/pepper provided. The only thing to note is that there is a high-level frosted window between the bathroom and one of the single bedrooms, meaning that the light from the bathroom shines into that room. The house is opposite the pub but was quiet so didn't really notice. Newbiggin is a lovely place to stay, I'd would definitely stay here again if we visit again.

My work colleague and I needed a place for 4 weeks of work in Newcastle, and Thomas’ place was perfect. Great amenities, well equipped kitchen, with a dining table, lots of space upstairs, effectively we had a floor and bathroom each. The centre of town is only a 20 mins walk. Thomas was a superb host. It’s a charming home. Thanks so much.

Modern 3 bedroom house, close to Durham

JoannaRating, 5 stars5 months ago
We were staying up there for my Sons wedding , then we stayed on a little over Christmas to see the children . The Ubers are amazing and I just downloaded the app ‘Uber eats ‘ as well and they can do a shop for you from the Coop ,Sainsbury’s and Tesco and more . Uber travel was very good and reasonable . Area of house is great for Newcastle , Durham or Bernard castle area . Rooms are a good size , beds comfortable. Walking for elderly parents was nice and they increased their fitness immensely , as the fresh air has helped them along with the trips to the countryside which is all around . Very Clean throughout . Comfy sofa and large chair. Great for a family . Garden is enclosed and very safe . Rachel has been a very kind host , and fast to respond to any querys , I would recommend the area and the home , the locals are friendly and there’s a Tesco express which has a bit of everything , in walking distance . Warm and welcoming, banister on stairs plenty of cupboards . A*

River View, Frosterley in Weardale

JohnRating, 5 stars7 months ago
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and we felt at home from the day we arrived. The cottage was perfect for our extended stay (a month) and we will fondly remember our time in the cottage, Frosterley and the Weardale and North Pennines area. Our hosts were very friendly, laid back and made us feel wonderfully relaxed during our stay. The cottage was warm, comfortable and well appointed and ideal for our needs. We would definitely recommend River View Cottage and the other accommodation in the courtyard to family and friends and we would definitely consider returning in the future for another break.
