Located on the southern slope of Mt. Myoho, one of the peaks in the World Heritage Kumano-Nachi mountain range, this is a mountain hut-style private accommodation with a 180-degree panoramic view of the mountains and the Kumano Sea spreading out below.　 The accommodation building has a traditional Japanese sunken kotatsu fireplace and a wood stove, so you can experience rural life, warm yourself by the wood stove, and be soothed by the flickering flames through the glass. Vegetables, blueberries, and fruit trees are grown on nearby farms, and you can experience picking them. We also raise chickens, so you can enjoy a slightly different morning egg rice with freshly laid eggs. You can also enjoy nature and refresh your mind and body in the midst of the seasonal scenery. As a Japanese cultural experience, there is a calligraphy lesson by a young female calligrapher. Reservations are required and it costs 1,000 yen per person for about an hour. "Genki House", a house near Kumano Hongu-Taisha

It’s a house 8km from the Hongu Taisha. (about 15 minutes' drive) If you have a car it's more convenient, but if not I'll be happy to drive you to and from a bus stop or a tourism spot in Hongu area. My family run an organic farm, bakery, NPO offering long-stay for the youth, and an alternative school for children nearby. You'll have some loaves of bread from our bakery(^^)/ （If you don't eat bread please let me know beforehand)

Kumano Nakahechi "MINE-no-Yado" Mine own house

"MINE-no-Yado" Mine own house is a small Japanese style cottage in Mine village where includes Takijiri-oji, the entrance to the sacred mountains of Kumano. The house is at an elevation of 300m. You can enjoy a panoramic view of Kumano mountains, a wonderful starry night and even sea of clouds.

Tamura sea

Nearby is the trending Kawabutsu River, the shortest in Japan, and Tamano-ura Beach. Mt. Futo is also perfect for a walking course (15 minutes), with a monument to Sato Haruo's song and a view of the Pacific Ocean. It is also designated as an evacuation area. Surfing is also close by.
