While Mike was away on a trip, Lori went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed—and more. From the moment we arrived, she made us feel so welcome. She was warm, thoughtful, and incredibly attentive without ever being overbearing. It’s clear she genuinely cares about her guests and takes pride in creating a comfortable, personalized experience. She checked in with us just enough to make sure we were all set and shared amazing local tips that really made our trip extra special. Her kindness, attention to detail, and friendly energy made all the difference. We couldn’t have asked for a better host. Thank you so much, Lori—you’re truly one of a kind!

Perfect location! I was in town running a training, and this place was the ideal private space to recharge. Quiet, comfortable, and well-situated. Maria was thoughtful, responsive, and easy to communicate with—everything I needed for a smooth stay.

We had a great stay at Mai’s lovely and cozy apartment! Perfectly suited for some days in San Francisco! Mai helped us with all our needs and we felt very comfortable, clear recommendation!

Our stay at the Quail House was everything we wanted and so much more. A truly magical place. Judith was also an incredible host and a pleasure to get to know.

When we walked in, the tea house looked exactly like the pics! The soaking tub was amazing and felt great to relax in and the bed was ultra comfortable and I so want to get whatever mattress that is. This is also really close to The Greek if you’re looking for a place to stay after a concert/show. It was about a 1.5 mile walk or really quick uber ride if you don’t like walking.

My family stayed in Teresa’s place and could not have had a more wonderful experience. Teresa was lovely and very communicative which made everything super easy. The location is beautiful and incredibly peaceful. We walked everywhere and always had a quiet, cool spot to come home to at the end of the day. I highly recommend staying here ♥️ We hope to be back!!

We had a wonderful stay in San Rafael! There were some Wi-Fi issues and Kelly went above and beyond to get them resolved. We were happy to see the kitchen was fully stocked with all the utensils you could need, and we were super grateful for the high chair and pack & play provided for our 1 year old. Kelly was very friendly and responsive. We did go through the wrong gate initially when we were checking in but figured out quickly that the space is attached to the carport. Thank you Kelly!

Clear check-in instructions and communicative throughout. There really is a difference in a great host. The place was clean and comfy and was located right where we wanted to be. Muir Woods, Stinson Beach, and pop over to SF all in a single day. Corte Madera nearby as well as Whole Foods and Target.

Linda welcomed us in person while we were checking in. Cozy, super well equipped little 1 room apartment. Very clean & tidy with a lot of extras. Not that far from airport & bus line 3-5 min away. We felt right away home and comfy. Thank you Linda also for your recommendations & quick responses. We loved staying there and would book with her again. Highly recommended for 3-5 days or longer Wish you all the best

This place was extremely clean, well appointed and cozy. 10 minutes down the road you have all the lovely Sonoma activities. It’s a nice place to come home to and get some rest :)

This was our first time staying in a guesthouse, and sharing a space with the owners, and I was completely blown away, we both felt right at home, so much so we didn’t wanna leave haha. Victor and Michelle gave us our privacy but also complete freedom to play music, relax on the patio, and roam around their absolutely beautiful backyard. We were able to come and go as we please and always know our things would be safe. The kitchen had everything you could need, the bed was extra comfy and the shower was a DREAM, the whole experience was incredibly cozy and peaceful. This was truly the best place we both have ever stayed, 1000% would recommend!!!

Eugenia’s place and Eugenia and her husband are fantastic… One of the most comfortable organic cotton beds I’ve ever slept on, the most enchanting, beautiful property, and every appliance state of the art, efficient and intentional with the touch of love. Eugenia brought me teas, and various unconventional items I asked for. And the natural light and airflow were wonderful. And very healing and the most peaceful and healing neighborhood I’ve stayed at in the East Bay. For anyone looking for a healing retreat, Book this place as soon as possible

Great place to sleep at night. We loved the outside seating and used it mornings and nights. Great location for walking downtown. We went to the Muir beach, Stinson and hike Mt. Tam. One of the best weekends.

Super spot for us! We were in town for a party and the host was great at checking in to make sure we had everything we needed! Lovely Airbnb!

Alexi’s place felt like a home away from home. The cabin is spacious, clean, thoughtfully designed, and perfect for 2 people to stay. A great base to explore the Sonoma and Napa regions. We didn’t manage to try out the sauna and hot tub this time, but felt very comfortable staying at Alexi’s place.

Sarah’s place was really cozy and quiet! We spent a lot of time in SF but it was really nice coming back to the cottage and sleep in the comfortable bed! We would definitely stay again. It wasn’t too far from public transportation and the view was amazing! The kitchen had everything we needed and we really enjoyed cooking breakfast and dinner with the view!

My husband and I stayed here for our wedding night and it was absolutely perfect! The view is unreal and the chickens on the back side of the house are adorable and really quiet. Thank you Carissa!

Tseten’s place was quaint and it was easy to find/park at. Her listing has clear instructions and is cutely decorated in her own style. My mother, sister and I felt like the location was even better than the photos. The backyard/landscaping was so beautiful and the listing was exactly what we needed. Wonderful stay!

Wonderful little cottage getaway on a pleasant and peaceful property. Kathy was an amazing host making us feel right at home. Plenty of space for a couple and very tasteful decor with a well stocked kitchen! Would highly recommend staying here! :)

We loved our time here! Not only were Darren and Laura wonderful hosts and communicators, but the property genuinely exceeded our expectations, the Airbnb was MORE beautiful in person than in the photos (hard to believe, I know), and the location of the neighborhood was incredible — high up on a hill of a beautiful and safe neighborhood. 😍 Only recommendation for future guests — book one extra day!! There is so much to do and such little time! We would’ve loved to have one more day to enjoy the Airbnb a little more. Would recommend to anyone and everyone!

I am a single woman traveler with two large dogs (8-night stay) Bonus: The bedroom was surprisingly large, and the modern bathroom was a standout. Having a dedicated parking spot in San Francisco — even for my SUV — was a huge plus. I felt safe at this location, which is important when traveling alone. There’s a lovely park just a few houses down the street. The host also provided coffee for the mornings, which was a thoughtful touch. The home included a desk for remote work, and they accepted my two large dogs, which I appreciated. For the price, parking, and pet-friendliness, this was a good stay. Just to keep in mind: The place is dog-friendly, but it needs some upkeep. A few things didn’t work as expected or were broken, and the closet was cluttered with items. Overall, the space didn’t exactly match the photos and could use attention to bring it back to its listed condition. Overall: If you don’t plan on cooking and need local transportation, this place could be a great fit.

Description and pictures all matched. It was very private despite the main house being on-site. The hot tub was excellent and was so peaceful among pine and palm trees. Polina met us and showed us around. We did not use the pool but it was available. Bed, pillows and linens comfortable. We had very late nights due to our plans and felt easy and safe returning later at night. Parking on-site was appreciated.
