Vacation rentals with outdoor seating in Michigan City

I am still going to give a 5 star review regardless of a couple issues we had. First of all the house, amenities, and outside area are excellent and as described. The location feels very private and it is what we were looking for. We had 3 total issues during our stay, and 2/3 minimum were outside of the owner's control. During our drive in the Benton Harbor area had 60-70mph straight line winds that blew the outside furniture into the driveway. This storm also caused water to bypass a window and get the floor a bit dirty. Owners drove out early next morning and replaced outdoor furniture and I wiped up the water in the house. In the morning we realized the hot water was out. Owners immediately drove back out and investigated. They happened to have a property that was vacant at the time, and gave us access to it to drive there and shower. Overall communication and response was excellent. Owners made us whole, and I would recommend.

We had an amazing time staying here for our joint Bachelor/Bachelorette weekend! It is a beautiful property that comfortably fit all 13 of us! We miss it already! It was a great time :)

This is the second time we've stayed in Nancy's lovely home and we hope to return soon! The contemporary style features high ceilings and enormous windows overlooking a wooded lot and a graceful dune. The generous size of the living area and kitchen made it easy for our family to hang out together after a day in the Indiana Dunes National Park. You're only minutes from the lake, great hiking, and a restaurant we really enjoyed (Goblin and the Grocer) but the secluded, private setting makes you feel as if you're in the middle of nowhere ... perfect for city folks trying to get away from it all. Nancy is a great host, and her home features plenty of thoughtful touches to make your stay relaxing and comfortable. After a day of hiking and exploring, it was wonderful to return to this tranquil place. We can't wait to go back!

The excellent taste of the hosts sets this rental apart from the rest. The decor in the home is beautifully curated. When you combine that with the views, it's a perfect vacation spot! We were grateful to be able to return for our fourth visit to Charles and Jeremy's home. Thank you for sharing it with us--we love it!

I cannot say enough good things about our host Kristin. She went above and beyond to accommodate us. Thank you Kristin, it means so much to us. The home is immaculate and extremely comfortable. A great deal of care and thought has been put into making a stay here perfect. The furnishings are comfortable and beautiful , everything is clean and well taken care of. Great bathrooms and kitchen! Outdoor tables and fire pit with seating a huge plus. Thank you again!

Crystal's place was clean and comfortable and had everything we needed. Crystal sent us all the information we needed for check in and responded to any messages very quickly. The house is very nice and lots of room. It had a lot of restaurants nearby and was a great place to stay to visit the Indiana Dunes. Would definitely stay again!

This is a nice house for a family of 4 for a getaway. The living room was perfect for movie night, the dining table was small but worked fine for eating meals and playing board games, and the kitchen was nice and had everything we needed. The beds are adjustable and incline! Ceiling fans, air purifiers, and 3 TVs with streaming apps were a bonus. The 2 couches in the living room weren’t the most comfortable but they fold down if you need extra beds (again not the most comfortable but fine for kids). We enjoyed the delicious ice cream across the street and the drive-in with many food options at the corner. The dunes, restaurants, and the outlet mall were a short drive away. We had a wonderful time and enjoyed staying in this house!

Super clean, quiet, and cozy but stocked with everything you need and just a few blocks from Valpo campus and the downtown eateries. Really just a perfect spot, and only about 30 minutes drive from all parts of Indiana Dunes NP. Also, Diana was a very gracious and kind host! Would love to stay here again the next time I'm in town!

Loved my stay! The farm was gorgeous and so peaceful and rejuvenating. Wish I could’ve stayed longer and would definitely stay again. Dan and Suzanne were friendly and helpful and the apartment was comfortable, well-equipped and beautifully decorated. 5 stars!

I have stayed with Becky many times and love the house. it's super cozy, clean and the yard is absolutely beautiful. If your looking for a peaceful play to stay this is it!!!

We had an awesome long weekend at Morton's Retreat. We loved visiting Three Oaks and Sawyer, and going on a few short hikes nearby. We especially loved grabbing drinks at the Historian. The Airbnb is on a busy road, but there is a bike path that runs by it and it's a short walk to Luisa's Swedish bakery, which was excellent. The place was clean and even a bit larger than we expected. Great for a relaxing long weekend.

It was a very cozy apartment with a nice set up. Easy access to university of Chicago and the lakefront trail. We really enjoyed our stay!

Alex was very responsive and incredibly helpful throughout this process as it was our first time using Airbnb and in Chicago. The home was clean although there were a few areas that could use more of a deep clean. The neighborhood was very relaxed but there isn’t a ton to do (no coffee shops or any local shopping) However it’s only a 6 minute drive or 20 minute walk (we walked and it was really nice) to china town or just to view the river. We only stayed 3 nights and we definitely would stay again!

One of my favorite Aibnbs of all time. The location is FUN - right in the center of the action in Northalsted. The space itself is beautiful and clean. The bedrooms are spacious, and the kitchen is well equipped. Allan was awesome and left us a bottle of prosecco to welcome us. Best part of the house is the huge covered front balcony - a front row seat to the joyous crowds, especially on the weekend. We saw a concert, walked to a Cubs game, spoiled the kids on Michigan Ave - and everyone agreed the balcony was our fave part of the trip. The rear deck is icing on the cake. We were in town so our kids could go to a concert and they also loved the area. If you're sensitive to noise, bring earplugs - all the action brings a bit of music - but really it's a steady din so super easy to tune out at bedtime. We love this place and can't wait to come back!

WWWWOOOWWW!! This host team was EXCEPTIONAL! I’ve stayed in plenty of AirBnBs, and I’ve NEVER encountered a host that was so EXTREMELY accommodating, responsive, and kind! Other hosts should take a page out of their book! The only thing I would change, and it’s not a bad thing (just a matter of preference); I would have some type of blinds or drapes over the living room windows. This will allow for privacy when you’re sitting in the living/dining room areas at night with the lights on inside. Hands down, we would without a doubt book with this team again! Supurb stay in Fulton Market! Seth was an outstanding host—responsive, welcoming, and accomidating. The apartment was spotless, well decorated, and thoughtfully stocked with everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The beds and linens were especially cozy, making it easy to relax and feel at home. The location is superb—just steps away from a variety of highly rated restaurants. The neighborhood has a welcoming, upscale vibe, which added to our peace of mind. A quick heads-up: the unit is a second-floor walk-up accessed via a private entry. Inside, as you can see has the spiral staircase; a unique architectural feature, but if you’re traveling with heavy luggage, it’s something to keep in mind. Pablo was an incredibly responsive and helpful host, even volunteering to have us check in early. His place was spacious (can accommodate 4-5 people) and comfortable. . . really a home away from home. Had everything we needed for a 5-day stay . . washer/dryer a plus! Parking can be a challenge, but using SPOT Hero helped us identify available spots. While next to the train, the train noise was more like white noise and did not disturb us. Would definitely stay again!
