House vacation rentals in Michigan City

What a wonderful stay our family had in Michiana Shores, Indiana at Greg’s place. Even though 2 of the 3 days were mostly overcast / rain, there was still plenty of activities to do. We hung out in the pool & hot tub areas multiple times, had a fire every night, and cooked all 3 meals each day in the wonderfully maintained kitchen. The kids loved their room setup with the bunk bed and twin bed. The parks nearby are lovely. The backyard was very luscious with tranquility full of greenery and peacefulness. Greg was very responsive and helped us out with questions before and during our stay. Definitely would recommend this spot if you are wanting to take a vacation near the nationally known Indiana Sand Dunes. Overall 5+ stars!

My girlfriends and I had a great stay! Ann’s place was peaceful and beautiful. We enjoyed relaxing outside, watching the animals and soaking in the hot tub. We will definitely be back!

This house was so beautiful and was a perfect place to spend a girl’s weekend! Would recommend over and over again and would definitely stay here again! Mike was also very quick at responding (even on the weekend) and when something wasn’t right he was very quick it fix it.

Well-maintained house, spotless upon arrival, great view of the area from the kitchen. Ice machine was a great touch especially with a bunch of people in the house! Would definitely come back!

Jenn was fantastic to work with and our rental included everything we needed plus more to make our visit as easy as possible. Our kiddos loved the bunkbeds, toys & having a TV in “their” room for the first!

I recently stayed with a few of my girlfriends for the weekend here. My friends and I absolutely loved this place. It was in a picturesque setting, and we loved how cozy it was. We especially enjoyed having the hot tub, the access to the public pool with clubhouse, and being able to walk to the beach to see the sunsets. We were able to enjoy a fire every night within the fire pit and loved being near the woods and the pond. Kristen was extremely responsive and a great host. My girlfriends and I would definitely stay again. We absolutely loved it here! Location is perfect for visiting lots of restaurants, wineries, and enjoying the best of Southwest Michigan.

Great stay! Loved the pool and lanai. Had fun playing the board games from the 80s and 90s. Great, well equipped kitchen - even a blender for smoothies! Linens were amazingly comfortable.

We really enjoyed our stay at Jennifer’s house! It was clean, great location & cozy! We especially loved the automatic pool cover so we could actually relax on vacation with our little ones running around. I also loved the three separate areas outside (pool, fire pit, grassy area). The separate areas offered a nice change of scenery to break up the day without leaving the house. I also loved that it’s a spacious ranch style house, so was easy to keep eyes on the kids. Jennifer was a wonderful & accommodating host & can’t wait to get back to her house soon! Thanks for having us!

We loved how close this cute little house was to the downtown area. It was clean and tidy, beds were firm, but ok. It has a nice big yard, with plenty of outdoor seating. Would recommend.

Great place by the lake. Home was roomy with plenty of bedrooms and hang out space-we would rent it again!

How can I put in a few words how we felt about Cary’s house! We loved it immediately, everything outside, everything inside! Absolutely NOTHING was missing. Anything you needed was waited for you to need it. The house is meant to please the pickiest folks . You can’t name a thing that was a disappointment. Where else will you find a garden just waiting for you to pick it??

We love this house! It’s an older house but very well kept! I am up working in the area and needed a place to stay on short notice! Luckily the host was very responsive and accommodating! We booked the place and moved in the same day! Wish we could have stayed longer!

This is the second year I rented this place for my birthday weekend away with friends. The house has so many accommodations for sleeping and different sitting areas. However, the main event is the kitchen. My friends and I love to cook and that's why we came back a second year in a row. The kitchen is unbelievably well-stocked with anything you might need to cook. There are multiple sinks so someone can be cooking while someone else cleans. The layout is perfect for people to hang out with whoever is cooking. There are two ovens. It is a dream. The house feels comfortable and lived-in, and it feels like there has been a lot of thought and intention focused on the user-experience. Cannot say enough nice stuff about this house, cannot recommend enough. Will be coming back for my 29 birthday.

We had a wonderful stay and will definitely be returning! The house was beautiful and extremely clean, the master bed was so comfy and the backyard was perfect for our pup to run around in. The location was also perfect and in a peaceful area, but also only about 10 minutes to New Buffalo and some amazing restaurants! I would definitely recommend and can’t wait to book our next trip back here!!

Christiana’s place was exactly as described and perfect for a weekend getaway! It’s an adorable house, tranquil backyard, and walkable to everything- the beach, restaurants, bars, and the grocery store. You can literally park and not drive again until you leave. Christiana was very attentive and made sure we had everything we needed. We definitely would love to come back! If you’re a couple or foursome, this place is the perfect size with plenty of space.

I LOVE this place. I stay here often when traveling for work. It literally feels like home at this point. Bob and the Blue Herron team are super responsive or none at all depending on how often you choose to communicate. They make sure the place is clean and accommodates everything I need for my weekly stays and it's conveniently located. While I'd hate for this spot to get too booked up, I also recognize a well run business when I see one and kudos are due! Love this place. Pick this place! It's top 5 on my favorite Airbnb list.

My wife and I have stayed at many vacation home rentals over the years, this one was one of the very best! First, I booked they house late afternoon on the day we wanted to arrive. Sarah responded immediately, accepted our booking and got me the access code to the property. It was all done within a few minutes! The house was beautifully decorated (my wife loved it and she is a designer!), well appointed and located very conveniently to all of the places we wanted to spend our time. We loved the hot tub, used the sauna almost every morning and our Golden Doodle loved the big fenced in back yard. Sarah and Brady are unbelievably responsive to needs too! One evening we wanted to enjoy the fire pit, but they were out of fire starters. I contacted Sarah at 7:36p, she responded at 7:37p and by 7:51 Brandy had already dropped a box of fire starters on the front porch! What?!?!?! Amazing. I HIGHLY recommend this place, we will be back!

We had a great stay at this home! The location was perfect—just 10 minutes from the beach—which made it easy to enjoy the area. One of our favorite features was the four seasons room; it was such a cozy and relaxing spot to hang out during our trip. The house itself was very clean, open, and welcoming. I would definitely recommend this stay to others, and I really don’t have any major complaints that would have ruined the experience. That said, there were a couple of small issues. The hot tub wasn’t heated before our arrival and took over 12 hours to warm up, which was a bit disappointing for a weekend stay, as we essentially lost a day of use. However, Caitlin was extremely responsive and ready to send someone out if it didn’t reach the proper temperature. The other issue was the queen-sized bed—it was quite stiff and seemed to have a broken frame, causing it to lean and making it uncomfortable to sleep

Nothing but great things to say / check-in was seamless and communication was perfect. The place was also top notch of course.

I am still going to give a 5 star review regardless of a couple issues we had. First of all the house, amenities, and outside area are excellent and as described. The location feels very private and it is what we were looking for. We had 3 total issues during our stay, and 2/3 minimum were outside of the owner's control. During our drive in the Benton Harbor area had 60-70mph straight line winds that blew the outside furniture into the driveway. This storm also caused water to bypass a window and get the floor a bit dirty. Owners drove out early next morning and replaced outdoor furniture and I wiped up the water in the house. In the morning we realized the hot water was out. Owners immediately drove back out and investigated. They happened to have a property that was vacant at the time, and gave us access to it to drive there and shower. Overall communication and response was excellent. Owners made us whole, and I would recommend.

Igor's Prairie Home was the perfect backdrop for my husband and adult children to take a break and reconnect as a family. The home is beautiful and so comfortable. We enjoyed the great hot tub and sitting around the fire pit. Oh and I don't want to forget to mention the tree house! How clever 🌞. Location is perfect for anything you'd like to do in the area because the house is located with easy access to Red Arrow highway. Either way you go there is plenty to see and do. Everyone wants to stay at Igor 's again and my son in law has already recommended to his parents. So I know we'll be back. 😎⛱️

We came to Three Oaks for a wedding at Journeyman distillery (5 minute walk). Not only was the location amazing but each bedroom had full length mirrors, plenty of lighting in the bathroom, and iron and a steamer which all made it seamless for four people getting ready for a wedding. This home is so charming with adorable details and artwork all over. The street is quiet however it’s a 5 minute walk from great restaurants and antique stores and more. Without a doubt, we would stay here again!

Home was great!! Super clean and cozy! Worked great for a rest stop to the end of a guys trip.
