Absolutely lovely cottage, even better than the photos. Host also provided amenities and fresh bread which was such a treat, really cute get away for a short stay. Only thing to note is that the main road is close so you will hear cars driving past all night and windows face the public/ other guests.

Nice and clean place with a huge decking balcony overlooking mountain view, walking distance to restaurants and shops. Highly Recommended!

The Observatory Cottages at the top of Mt Dandenong has been the place to stay in the ranges for years, and with good reason! We last visited Ironbark cottage 20 years ago and we loved it this time as we did two decades ago. It’s extremely cosy and private and you can easily spend a whole weekend at the cottage without leaving! The spa and gas log fire place are highlights, adding to the warm and cozy vibe. Penny leaves great provisions for a cooked breakfast for two mornings and there’s a kitchen if you feel like staying in. She has great communication and is very responsive if you need her for anything. A beautiful choice for a weekend of R&R. Highly recommended.

An amazingly spacious house with great views of the ranges and a great spa bath. Mindy was super responsive when we needed a smoke alarm to be fixed and had it repaired the same day. Really appreciated that and enjoyed our getaway with easy drive to surrounding towns.

The cottage is surrounded by lots of nature and greenery. it was very relaxing the time we enjoyed there. The information and description was exactly as per described. Seamless experience during all our stay.

Our stay at the cottage was perfect. Andrew was very accomodating and friendly. The place made us feel very at home. The courtyard was perfect for our dog and was very private and quiet. 10/10 recommend

It was a wonderful place to spend the night with family. More than ample space to host a lovely family dinner and board games afterwards. The fireplace made it all the more cosy.

I have stayed at Thackeray many times. it's the perfect location on the beach.. great bike rides... easy to park... close to everything and Alyce is continually upgrading equipment in her home so everything works! highly recommended. a unique place with beautiful character.

Location is amazing so close to public transport if needed. So close to the South Melbourne market and Main Streets of South Melbourne. If you want to get a taste of what it’s like to live like a local in Melbourne this is the perfect place. A very place to stay and a wonderful host who had everything you would need! Great place, we all would choose this place again for family get together. There is enough space for both adults and children. The garden was so peaceful with kookaburras visiting us every time we went into the garden.

Matilda’s Cottage was a perfect little spot that catered two nights before our wedding and our wedding night. While we are local, I highly reccomend utilising this cosy quiet accommodation. You are not far from gisborne vineyards and town centre and a short drive up the freeway into the Macedon ranges. Take a short drive continuing up benson rd you’ll grab a nice view of the valley. Thanks for having us!

craig and Donna are wonderful hosts, made us feel at home, could not be more helpful. Beautiful location and accommodation close to everything but felt wonderfully remote. George their Labrador was fabulous and super friendly and obedient. we are world travelers and this was the best bnb we have ever stayed in. Awesome 2 weeks. Definitely booking again.

We had a wonderful weekend getaway at this charming Coldstream cottage! The setting was peaceful and beautifully maintained, perfect for a relaxing escape. One of the highlights was arriving to find the fridge fully stocked with a generous selection of goodies – such a thoughtful touch that made us feel instantly welcome and at home. The cottage itself was spotless, cozy, and well-equipped with everything we needed. Highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a relaxing retreat in the Yarra Valley.

We stayed over the Easter Weekend and had a wonderful peaceful time. Ian was quick to respond to my questions and his instructions regarding check-in were clear. The cottage was beautiful and cozy and everything we needed. His local guide for Emerald was fantastic and highly recommend to anyone visiting Emerald.

Such a cute little place. Very thoughtful with their complimentary home made sourdough bread, fresh local butter, jam & milk. Was the perfect icing on the cake for us! Fireplace, wine & cheese platter nestled away in a peaceful quite are. No kitchen but we saw they had a sandwich press so we had beautiful toasties with their sourdough for dinner, amazing! Their bakery at the back was amazing, best croissant we have tried, get there first thing tho! Oh also, the knitted face clothes with a bar of soap was really cute too ! Thank you both 😊

Awesome stay just outside of central Melbourne. The ‘East Wing’ was just as described and suited all of our needs. Lovely and clean and all of the amenities you would need for a stay, we felt right at home. Catherine was a fantastic host who helped us with all of our questions and let us say hello to her very friendly greyhound. 10 minute walk to Spotswood station and 15/20 minute train ride gets you into central. Catherine kindly left out some Myki cards to help out with the transport. Thanks so much! Will recommend to anyone wanting to explore Melbourne

Wonderful place to spend with family. Very private and spacious. Some minor items were not as clean (kitchen). Towels had some damp smells. may need some smaller woods to feed the woodfire heater. The large red gum wood is hard to get lighted.

Fabulous little space - everything as described. Lots of little thoughtful touches. Clean, comfy bed, chocolate in the fridge. Great value and brilliant location. So close to walk to the Main Street which had some awesome food and bars. We had a concert at the Northcote Theatre - about 5mins or so to walk there. Train station to get into the city maybe 5-7mins. For being so close - the studio was really quiet. Hosts were lovely. Bonus was an excellent massage at Patra Thai (combo Thai massage) and the Sauna Goose for a sauna and plunge (a bit of a walk - maybe 25mins).
