Kid-friendly vacation rentals in Mascalucia

I spent a wonderful month in this location - it's clean and comfortable with good wifi for remote working - perfect for what I was after. Maria is a wonderful host who is always responsive and cleaned the place once a week while leaving me nice things for breakfast! She even gave me a lift to and from Catania (c.10km) with my heavy suitcase. Trecastagni is a pleasant town on the slopes of Etna with accessible supermarkets and other essential shops as well as a some nice bars and restaurants and several churches. This location is better for those with private vehicles as the buses to/from Trecastagni are somewhat unreliable and it is a walk of several miles to the nearest train station (Acireale). However for those with vehicles it offers good access to Etna as well as other attractions in the area such as Catania and Acireale.

Great apartment for our three-night stay. Marco’s friendly welcome and helpful tips on what to see and do was appreciated, as was the bottle of cold white wine which went down a treat after navigating those crazy streets! Marco showed us the car park and then delivered our bags to the foot of the stairs to the apartment. The view is incredible, the apartment clean and comfortable. We appreciated the two bathrooms and washing machine. Easy walking distance to the main town and a short uphill hike on the way back to help digest all the good food and gelato. Wish we could have stayed longer.

Great terraces with view of the sea. Not a lot of restaurants to walk to. Place was very clean and furnished well. The kitchen was well stocked and we were able to make several dinners there with no problem. We went during shoulder season so the area was very quiet. I’m sure it’s busier during the summer.

Love this place. Superb balcony with great views and lots of space. Comfortable inside. Seconds to the beach and 5 minutes walk to the Funicular up to central Taormina. Host was great and even let us check out late.

You could not find a better place to stay in Taormina, close to everything yet quiet & peaceful when you needed a break - the house itself is exquisite & Laura is the loveliest host. Big call, but Casa Oasi goes close to being the best AirBnB we’ve ever stayed in 😘

We spent a great week at Marcello's place. It is a beautiful property with a charming garden and super friendly cats. Marcello was very helpful and attentive. Gave us very helpful tips and recommendations. We definitely recommend and we enjoyed every minute! Kitchen has all the essentials. Plus, an outdoor space for cooking and dining. There's a nice beach club with crystal clear water nearby, only 5min walk. Having car at this location is recommended- there are many places to discover and the garden has a secured parking.

This is our second time at Casa Minè and it was as memorable as the first time. Host are very kind and responsive. The apartment is just spectacular. The decor is worthy of a magazine. The terrace is huge and there are several beautiful plants and stunning views of Etna. It's a must-see apartment when visiting Sicily. We will definitely return on a future trip!

The view was fantastic! And the apartment is very spacious. It was nice having a full kitchen and two bathrooms. We enjoyed the space and liked the peace and quiet. There were also good local restaurants close by, so a very convenient location.

Staying there was wonderful. We were only a couple, but there were enough rooms for two couples easily. For us, everything was perfect—the view into the theatre (which actually had 3 performances while we were there), the closeness to the walkable city center, and the personal interaction with the gracious, attentive hosts, who live in the same building. There are flights of stairs to the place, and a few interior steps to one of the bedrooms—this was nothing for us, but would not be right for some people. The place is large, well decorated, with amazing lighting, and views. One of the most special places we have been in, and we have traveled a lot.

Livios place is a hidden gold mine in Stazzo. It was so perfect for what we wanted. A peaceful balcony by the sea with access to the water and a view of Etna. Livio was kind, warm, and insightful. He explained the village to us and even provided a helpful map of where to go. We would recommend to anyone and will be returning soon (we hope!!)

Marco and Antonio were amazing hosts, the place is tucked away but an informative YouTube video that Antonio provided was super easy to follow and then Marco met us on the beach to let us in. The place is amazing and immaculately decorated with a super comfy bed. The location is just perfect and peaceful and the beach is gorgeous for a relaxing beach day. There are many lovely restaurants down in Mazzarò but it’s very easy to reach the cable car and travel up to Taormina. It was lovely to hear the live singer from the hotel next to us in the evenings when we sat out on the balcony. It may not be suitable for those with limited mobility and there were quite a few stairs involved in getting to the apartment.

I, my partner, and little Nora, who is only 9 months old, stayed at "Casa Boeo" for two nights, on the occasion of a wedding we had planned in Santa Tecla. The apartment is very nice, simple but cared for in every detail, nothing is really missing. Small but essential, very clean and tidy. Unfortunately, we did not have the opportunity to meet Antonio in person due to a time mismatch, but he left us clear instructions on how to retrieve the keys and we entered without any problems. Antonio was also kind enough to suggest some streets in the neighborhood where we could find parking, and we actually had no major problems with it.

The accommodation is cool. Very atmospheric, I think, very much in line with the spirit of Catania. Spacious and clean, matches the photos and description. The host is very hands on, quick responds It's very easy to get into the apartment with a mini safe. You can easily find a parking space. Quiet, sometimes you can hear motorcycles at night, but they don't bother you. Walking distance to the city center. I definitely recommend choosing it

Beautiful apartment, fully kitted out, easy to find and just a short walk from all the sights in the centre of Catania. The hosts were really helpful and sent us a list of great places to eat and had also left a file in the property of recommended places to go and visit. We had a lovely stay here and we'd highly recommend it to anyone wishing to stay in Catania. Really hoping to come back and stay here again as there's so much to see and do, we just couldn't fit it all in.🙂🙂

A very nice apartment…. The entry sounds confusing before you get there but once you get there, it’s pretty straightforward and Giuseppe was always available and very flexible. There’s a lovely little back deck that’s eclectic and wonderfully private. Maybe a few hooks in the bathroom …. For the price, I would really recommend it.

Andrea was a wonderful host! His Airbnb was just as pictured, very clean, felt like home. It’s in the perfect location for the area, not directly in the hustle and bustle providing privacy and peace but still only a few short minute walks to everything. The bed was very comfortable and the AC worked REALLY well. The best part of this Airbnb was meeting his adorable mom who loves to chat in Italian (we don’t speak a word) and her sweet dog Molly.

The condo is stunning—a truly amazing architectural experience. The only downside was having trouble unlocking the door; it would’ve been helpful to have an easier process or in-person assistance. Aside from that, we loved the stay—it was absolutely worth the money and experience.

We had a wonderful stay at this lovely place in Catania, Sicily. It’s tucked away in a quiet little alley, which made it very peaceful, yet it’s just a short walk to the main shopping areas and all the key tourist spots in the city. The location really couldn’t be better. Our host, Elisa, was absolutely charming and incredibly helpful throughout our stay. We’re very grateful for her hospitality and would definitely recommend this place to anyone visiting Catania. Thank you, Elissa!

There’s not much to add except that everything was absolutely perfect. The apartment is stunning—beautifully furnished, fully equipped, extremely comfortable, and ideally located within the city. We received the best communication, assistance, and helpful suggestions we've ever had from any of our previous Airbnb stays. We also booked a private tour to Mount Etna through our host and had an unforgettable experience with our guide, Simone. Five stars all around. Thank you again!
