Kid-friendly vacation rentals in Mascalucia

I spent a wonderful month in this location - it's clean and comfortable with good wifi for remote working - perfect for what I was after. Maria is a wonderful host who is always responsive and cleaned the place once a week while leaving me nice things for breakfast! She even gave me a lift to and from Catania (c.10km) with my heavy suitcase. Trecastagni is a pleasant town on the slopes of Etna with accessible supermarkets and other essential shops as well as a some nice bars and restaurants and several churches. This location is better for those with private vehicles as the buses to/from Trecastagni are somewhat unreliable and it is a walk of several miles to the nearest train station (Acireale). However for those with vehicles it offers good access to Etna as well as other attractions in the area such as Catania and Acireale.

Great apartment for our three-night stay. Marco’s friendly welcome and helpful tips on what to see and do was appreciated, as was the bottle of cold white wine which went down a treat after navigating those crazy streets! Marco showed us the car park and then delivered our bags to the foot of the stairs to the apartment. The view is incredible, the apartment clean and comfortable. We appreciated the two bathrooms and washing machine. Easy walking distance to the main town and a short uphill hike on the way back to help digest all the good food and gelato. Wish we could have stayed longer.

Great terraces with view of the sea. Not a lot of restaurants to walk to. Place was very clean and furnished well. The kitchen was well stocked and we were able to make several dinners there with no problem. We went during shoulder season so the area was very quiet. I’m sure it’s busier during the summer.

Love this place. Superb balcony with great views and lots of space. Comfortable inside. Seconds to the beach and 5 minutes walk to the Funicular up to central Taormina. Host was great and even let us check out late.

Dit was de tweede keer dat ik in het appartement van Laura verbleef, en ik hoop er zeker nog eens te komen. Het appartement is schattig en heel leuk en sfeervol ingericht. Het terras is schitterend. De locatie kan niet beter, meteen in het centrum en toch rustig. Kortom fantastisch

Bon rapport qualité/prix. La maison est spacieuse et calme. Magasins et petits restaurants à proximité. Communication facile et amicale avec Alessandra. Une maison où on a envie de retourner !

Fie Begegnung mit Maria Giovanna und Emmanuele war von Anfang sehr herzlich. Sie brachten uns gute Dinge aus ihrem Garten, und wir kamen gleich in ein längeres Gespräch. Wir haben dabei auch alles Wichtige erfahren. Auch die Einrichtung der Wohnung hat uns gut gefallen. Wir haben uns gleich zu Hause gefühlt.

Marcellos Unterkunft ist der Wahnsinn! 🙂 er ist die Seele der Unterkunft, die sie zu dem macht, was sie ist. Er ist sehr herzlich, hilfsbereit und rücksichtsvoll. Wir haben tolle Tipps bekommen und uns immer perfekt aufgehoben gefühlt. Ab dem vorletzten Tag konnten wir die tolle Plattform für den direkten Zugang zum Meer nutzen. :) Der Zugang zum Meer führt ca 200-250? durch den liebevollen eigenen Garten von Marcello. Es gibt einen eigenen Parkplatz, der durch 2 Tore erreicht werden kann. Alles in der Unterkunft ist sauber und gepflegt gewesen und es gab sehr viel Details.

C’est notre seconde fois à Casa Minè et ce fut aussi mémorable que la première fois. Les hôtes sont très gentils et réactifs. L’appartement est tout simplement spectaculaire. La décoration est digne d’un magazine. La terrasse est gigantesque et on y retrouve plusieurs belles plantes et une vue imprenable sur l’Etna. C’est un appartement incontournable lors d’une visite en Sicile. Nous y retournerons assurément lors d’un prochain voyage!

The view was fantastic! And the apartment is very spacious. It was nice having a full kitchen and two bathrooms. We enjoyed the space and liked the peace and quiet. There were also good local restaurants close by, so a very convenient location.

Staying there was wonderful. We were only a couple, but there were enough rooms for two couples easily. For us, everything was perfect—the view into the theatre (which actually had 3 performances while we were there), the closeness to the walkable city center, and the personal interaction with the gracious, attentive hosts, who live in the same building. There are flights of stairs to the place, and a few interior steps to one of the bedrooms—this was nothing for us, but would not be right for some people. The place is large, well decorated, with amazing lighting, and views. One of the most special places we have been in, and we have traveled a lot.

Очень просторное, уютное жилье. Со вкусом обставлено, есть все необходимое. Хозяин интеллигентный, готовый помочь во всем. Просторный балкон с видом на море, можно также видеть Этну. Море рядом, заход не очень удобный, но рядом можно найти более удобное место. Мы мало купались, так как вода была еще холодная. Из поселка легко добраться на машине до Этны, до Алькантаре и т.д. В целом все полностью соответствует описанию и другим отзывам

Marco and Antonio were amazing hosts, the place is tucked away but an informative YouTube video that Antonio provided was super easy to follow and then Marco met us on the beach to let us in. The place is amazing and immaculately decorated with a super comfy bed. The location is just perfect and peaceful and the beach is gorgeous for a relaxing beach day. There are many lovely restaurants down in Mazzarò but it’s very easy to reach the cable car and travel up to Taormina. It was lovely to hear the live singer from the hotel next to us in the evenings when we sat out on the balcony. It may not be suitable for those with limited mobility and there were quite a few stairs involved in getting to the apartment.

Der Aufenthalt in Ornellas BnB hat uns super gefallen. Ornella hat uns persönlich empfangen, was uns super gefallen und an das frühere AirBnB erinnert hat (persönliches Gespräch und keine Schlüsselboxen 😉) Die Lage ist direkt am Stadtzentrum von Catania und alle wichtigen Sehenswürdigkeiten sind mit maximal 10 Minuten Laufzeit zu erreichen. Auf dem kleinen Balkon mit super Blick auf die Dächer der Stadt kann man bis Abends die Sonne genießen. Da die Wohnung direkt über einer Zuglinie liegt, hört man ab und an den Güterverkehr - bei geschlossenen Fenstern (& mit kühlender Klimaanlage) war das für uns aber kein Problem. Wir würden diese Unterkunft immer wieder buchen - vielen Dank!

Io, il mio compagno e la piccola Nora si soli 9 mesi mo stati a "Casa Boeo" per due notti, in occasione di un matrimonio che avevamo in programma a Santa Tecla. L'appartamento è molto carino, semplice ma curato in ogni dettaglio, non manca davvero nulla. Piccolo ma essenziale, molto pulito ed ordinato. Purtroppo mon abbiamo avuto occasione di incontrare Antonio di persona a causa di un'incompatibilità di orari, ma lui ci ha lasciato istruzioni chiare su come recuperare le chiavi e siamo entrati senza problemi. Antonio è stato così gentile anche da suggerirci alcune vie nel circondario dove trovare parcheggio, ed effettivamente non abbiamo avuto grossi problemi in merito.

Es war einfach ein super Aufenthalt mit Baby. Das Babybett war super ausgestattet, mit einer extra Matratze und schönen Decken und Kissen. Alles andere war natürlich auch super. Der Kontakt zu Diego: einwandfrei und sofortige Antworten erhalten. Absolute Empfehlung!!!

Beautiful apartment, fully kitted out, easy to find and just a short walk from all the sights in the centre of Catania. The hosts were really helpful and sent us a list of great places to eat and had also left a file in the property of recommended places to go and visit. We had a lovely stay here and we'd highly recommend it to anyone wishing to stay in Catania. Really hoping to come back and stay here again as there's so much to see and do, we just couldn't fit it all in.🙂🙂

A very nice apartment…. The entry sounds confusing before you get there but once you get there, it’s pretty straightforward and Giuseppe was always available and very flexible. There’s a lovely little back deck that’s eclectic and wonderfully private. Maybe a few hooks in the bathroom …. For the price, I would really recommend it.

LA DOLCE VITA. Dieses Apartment ist einfach nur grandios! Wir haben uns hier sofort wohlgefühlt. DIe Einrichtung ist sehr geschmackvoll und mit zahlreichen angenehmen Details versehen. Die Ausstattung ist äußerst umfangreich und lässt keine Wünsche offen. Und dazu ein Ausblick, der wirklich atemberaubend ist! Alles war perfekt sauber und wir wurden sehr herzlich vom Eigentümer empfangen, der sich sehr viel Mühe gab, dass wir uns rundum wohl fühlen. Wie sich wenig später zeigte, waren selbst die Restaurant-Empfehlungen ein Volltreffer. Wir bedanken uns ganz herzlich bei Andrea für einen traumhaft schönen Aufenthalt in seinem Objekt.

The condo is stunning—a truly amazing architectural experience. The only downside was having trouble unlocking the door; it would’ve been helpful to have an easier process or in-person assistance. Aside from that, we loved the stay—it was absolutely worth the money and experience.

We had a wonderful stay at this lovely place in Catania, Sicily. It’s tucked away in a quiet little alley, which made it very peaceful, yet it’s just a short walk to the main shopping areas and all the key tourist spots in the city. The location really couldn’t be better. Our host, Elisa, was absolutely charming and incredibly helpful throughout our stay. We’re very grateful for her hospitality and would definitely recommend this place to anyone visiting Catania. Thank you, Elissa!

Die Unterkunft ist sehr sauber und sehr detailreich gestaltet. Es riecht gut und wir haben sehr gut in den Betten geschlafen. Ich bin sehr neidisch auf die prächtig gewachsenen Efeututen ;) Man ist zentral am blühenden Nachtleben Catanias, aber in der Unterkunft ist es dennoch sehr leise. Die Kommunikation war hervorragend und da es zeitlich für die Gastgeberin gepasst hat, konnten wir unser Gepäck vor dem Check-In und nach dem Check-Out noch im Haus zu belassen, um die Stadt noch frei zu erkunden.
