‘Tigh na ba’, Loch Etive, Argyll

Marie-CarolineRating, 5 stars1 month ago
The promise of the view was fabulous and we were not disappointed. If you are looking for a peaceful and secluded place, this is the place. It is not perfectly placed if you are looking for tourist places to visit but the place is enough for itself for a few nights and it is perfect for relaxing and enjoying the calm. The bedrooms and living rooms are very beautiful and well decorated. Thank you for providing a beautiful home like this.

Absolute perfection- already trying to find dates to return. Beds were extremely comfortable, the place was completely spotless, property extensively spacious and the views! Oh my god, the views! Kitchen well catered for- Inc a Bosch coffee machine you should buy pods for. There is also a Webber kettle bbq outside. Hot tub was modern and just such a treat after the Glen Tarken hike. Thanks Lorna!

Traditional seaside cottage with private garden

HayleyRating, 5 stars3 weeks ago
An utterly beautiful cottage in a fantastic location, with an enchanting little garden. There was everything you needed and was of the highest quality. Rosemary was so helpful, before, during and after our stay. Nothing was too much trouble and she responded almost immediately. The island of Bute is amazing, peaceful, relaxing and full of wildlife. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone and would stay again if we are allowed- well worth the money. Thank you so much Rosemary

The cottages were clean, neat and tidy giving us ample of space to use. The views from the cottage are spectacular even our kitten enjoyed the views! The location was perfect for us to drive around other places in the highlands and discover local areas. Would definitely recommend and hope to come back! Thank you Marianne for the wonderful stay. We loved the house and Drymen. The added bonus of the use of the pool, sauna and jacuzzi was brilliant. The house was comfortable and homely. Cabin retreat in Wemyss Bay

MartinRating, 5 stars1 week ago
There was really nothing not to like, the accommodation was as described , modern , comfortable and spacious. Sleeps four adults and two kids albeit at that point lounge seating may be a bit squeezed. The surrounding countryside is beautiful and the view from the balcony idyllic. Beware Wemyss Bay is a small place and you need to travel to find a selection of restaurants if that is what you want. However the chippie down the hill is excellent. The biggest test … we would definitely go back !

Luing Cabin, Dalavich. Cosy cabin by Loch Awe

RobbieRating, 5 stars6 days ago
A great wee cabin, 2 mins walk from the lochside and plenty of room for our family of four. The kids enjoyed playing in the field out at the front, watching for animal visitors at the bird feeder, making fires down by the water etc. the local shop sold us some locally made midge repellent that seemed to work way better than the smidge we brought. Would recommend exploring loch avich and along the side of loch awe, loads to discover.

Picturesque Old Smiddy Cottage

TaniaRating, 5 stars1 month ago
Words cannot express the wonderful week we have had on Loch Katrine. Old Smiddy is ideally located for hiking the mountains, lochs and woodland and Carole has thought of all you need to make it feel like a home from home. Having our morning tea watching the Barn Swallows and House Martins catching their breakfast on the lake in the sunshine was very special. Aberfoyle has all you need for food and cute shops and fantastic Doone Hill walk from the town - Free Parking!!! A ferry trip on the Sir Walter Scott from the pier over to Trossachs Pier is a MUST and the Primrose Hill hike was stunning. The Pier Cafe is outstanding, definitely worth a treat and just a short walk away. Thank you Carole for sharing your amazing house, we will be back to enjoy the hot tub and sauna 🤞

We were warmly welcomed by Cathy. Who had bread and shortbread and jam ready for us. Which she had made herself😋. The hosts were easily accessible when we needed them. The apartment had everything we needed and we received clear instructions on how to operate the equipment Furthermore, we had fantastic views of Loch Long and the mountains. Beautiful garden present and terrace with beautiful plants. And especially not to forget a nice one at 5 minutes walking distance to let the dog out. This is a place we will definitely book should we visit the highlands again.😃

Beautiful home on the banks of Loch Goil

JenniferRating, 5 stars1 month ago
Our family had an amazing week here! We travelled with my parents and young child as well as a dog. The view over the loch is sensational and the Airbnb has everything we needed. John is a very kind and responsive host - couldn’t do enough for us. It’s remote and private with a pub nearby and another pizza restaurant open Thursday to Sunday nights. We were also very lucky with the weather which meant the most sensational views. Good base for exploring too as we were able to go to Inverary, Carrick Castle, Arkinglas House, Loch Fyne Oyster Bar and rent a boat on loch goil.
