The Cottage

The Cottage, with a studio style layout, is a bright and clean space just one mile from historic downtown lees summit with local shops, bars and restaurants. The cottage is ~20 min from downtown Kansas City and 15 min from Kaufman and Arrowhead Stadium. This newly renovated 1900s milk barn is unique and special with a lot of charm, with a few of the modern conveniences. Guests are welcome to take advantage of the two acre landscaped yard and enjoy a delicious s’more at the outdoor fire pit!

GORGEOUS/CHIC w/ 2 bedrooms & 2 bathrooms! Less than a mile to downtown LS. Easy highway access to all KC metro attractions within less than 30 minutes away! Absolutely NO drugs, parties, couch sleeping, pets, big rig parking or smoking/vaping inside allowed & if so booking will be forfeited. Drop in guests are only permitted with permission. The kitchen sink backs up a bit when doing laundry upstairs, but NOT an issue & only done during day hours.

We loved staying in this enchanting cabin. The cabin is so modern yet quaint and cozy. The entire wall of windows opens up to an outside view. Including a stream and bridge. The morning views were peaceful and the evening views were lit up with lights hanging from the trees. Everyone we met were so nice and helpful with anything we needed. We truly couldn't have asked for more.

My dog Lily and I loved staying at this lovely guest house about 30 minutes from downtown Kansas City. We walked the trails around the property multiple times and enjoyed sitting by the little pond with the natural little waterfall. It was very peaceful. It was also a good place from which to explore Fort Osage, the downtown of Harry Truman's birthplace, Independence, and still get into the city with relative ease. The bed was so comfortable that I slept longer than I have in weeks, and the kitchen was fully equipped with all I needed to cook dinner. Host was helpful and responsive when I reached out, and not obtrusive at all. Highly recommend, and I would definitely stay here again. Though maybe next time in one of the cool teepees on the property!

Such a beautiful house for my girls and I to stay in the night before I got MARRIED!! The upstairs “glam” area was perfect for us to get ready in. My only regret was that we didn’t stay here longer to get to enjoy everything it had to offer!!

Chad and Christina’s place is in a peaceful neighborhood not far from KC. Their place is exactly as the photos and listing describes. Both of them are friendly and helpful/responsive if you need to reach out. I also enjoyed trying out the chocolate chip cookies they shared! Would recommend if you’re planning to visit KC or the surrounding area.
