Vacation rentals with a fireplace in Lanchester

Janice was a perfect host , we were made to feel very welcome and knew she was on hand if we needed anything . First cottage is spacious and well equipped , boasting stunning views we particularly enjoyed the peace and tranquility It was perfect for getaway for a holiday with our grandaughters they enjoyed visiting the Roman museum , Hadrians wall and Kielder forest bird of prey center Will recommend to family and friends and hopefully will be back for another visit

We really enjoyed our stay in Clare's cottage. It was beautifully furnished and spotlessly clean. The dog walks right on the doorstep were an added bonus.

Absolutely gorgeous house in a beautiful location. Everything was spotless. Angela was a brilliant host, and left lots of extra finishing touches to make our stay 10/10. We will definitely stay here again, and would recommend in a heartbeat.

A delightful cottage that was spotlessly clean and wonderfully fresh, providing a peaceful setting in the countryside, yet only a 15-minute drive from Durham. We loved the charming, spacious cottage with its own private garden. The kitchen had everything we could possibly need, making our stay so easy. The welcome treats were a lovely touch - especially the amazing rocky road, and the fresh eggs and milk were much appreciated. Being on a working farm was brilliant, with fresh produce readily available, and the friendly ginger cat and chickens added real character. Jane, the host, was an absolute star with her excellent communication. We couldn't have asked for a better stay.

Lovely cottage, walking distance to Durham city centre. Very comfortable and clean. Michelle was very helpful and gave lots of information about local places and restaurants.

Beautiful cottage, games area was great, really enjoyed ourselves. Hot tub was lovely and the garden area at back was secluded and well maintained. Loved the outdoor shower , great before getting in hot tub but also useful for hosing down a muddy dog. All in all the cottage felt really homely and a little bit of luxury. Emily seems to be a lovely host and always responded quickly to any queries. Will recommend her to friends and family and would certainly consider coming back.

Our stay was short, but the location was close to everything we wanted to see. The place was spotless, and Stuart was a great host. I wish we could spend more time. I would recommend this place.

A lovely cottage to stay in. Easily accessible & lots of shops, bars & restaurants close by. Everything was as stated when we booked the cottage & we were very happy with the accommodation. Anna even left us milk & nibbles for our arrival, which was most appreciated. Family have moved close to the cottage so hopefully if we visit again we will try to book Puddlers Cottage again. A lovely place to stay.

we had an amazing stay. the hosts were brilliant with directions, local things to do. we were staying for a wedding close by. They offered us a lift to save a taxi fare ( not needed but very much appreciated) pointed us in the direction of the river so my wife could go for a wild swim. the dogs are great and came with us whilst we were outside and super friendly. the accommodation was perfect for our needs and we will definitely return for another peaceful stay in Northumberland. we left super early to go collect the kids after the wedding and we were given bacon rolls in lovely cheese bread bun. so nice and got us through the long drive. 10/10 stay thank you so much for hosting us. Really nice apartment for a few days away. On a street right in the middle of town, so restaurants and the Abbey are practically on the doorstep, but it was also quiet. Easy to find and to get in. Lovely flat with all the facilities you need for cooking, etc.
