Situated just 30 minutes from Edinburgh, 40 minutes from Glasgow by car and within easy reach of the Scottish Borders, the cottage makes the perfect base for exploring. Yet, despite its proximity to these key tourist attractions, the accommodation enjoys a quiet, rural location in South Lanarkshire, close to Biggar and Lanark.

Beautiful tranquil country cottage with private garden boasting spectacular views over the Pentland hills . The cottage is well situated for exploring the area, being just 5 minutes drive from Rosslyn chapel, (which you can also walk to from the cottage by following the path through the glen.)The Pentland hills are only 10 minutes drive, and it takes less than 30 minutes to drive to edinburgh city centre. It is a great place to come home to after a day of hillwalking ,working or sight seeing.

This artist and architect-designed house is clad in larch and well insulated with wool felts. The access to the separate loft of our eco-house is via an external staircase. A large south facing window in the main room overlooks the woodland garden and Shiplaw burn. There is a workspace/single bedroom for an extra guest. We are located within one of the biggest habitat restoration projects in Europe and are five minutes walk from a regular bus service to Edinburgh and across the Borders.

This spacious, comfortable apartment is in a semi-rural location 9 miles south of Edinburgh centre, within reach of all areas of the city by car or bus, with free parking and with the local bus just minutes walk away. Located in native woodland on the river Esk, it has excellent walking and cycling possibilities. It is also a great location to explore Rosslyn Chapel, Penicuik House, the Pentland Hills & the Borders, and is a short stroll to the shops & restaurants of Penicuik.

This three bedroom flat is part of a traditional farm Steading established in the late eighteenth century, but now converted to a high standard. The Stable flat is situated on a rural private estate but with great access to Edinburgh and the Scottish Borders. Guests staying at the stable flat will have access to the whole property and are very welcome to explore the grounds. The walled garden provides a tranquil place for rest and relaxation.
