Vacation rentals with a fire pit in Lake Simcoe

Blu Lake House was a wonderful and spacious setting for our family gathering this Christmas. The views from the living room and back bedrooms over the snowy, frozen lake were magical! The kitchen was very well appointed (one of the best we have encountered!) - we easily had everything we needed to make a Christmas dinner, and more, including large pots, pans and baking trays. The house was very clean, comfortable and homely. Nadia, Gina and Joanne helped us out with a few things over the holiday period, including a replacement kettle, which we really appreciated.

we had a concert at Casino Rama and this was a great place to spend the night. it was very quiet, peaceful and close to the casino.

We had a lovely stay. The place was even nicer than we expected. This is the best air bnb we’ve ever had. It was really private and really clean, which was exactly what we were looking for. They provided so many little things which just added to the overall experience. Its the small things that go a long way. The place was really open concept and just really well furnished. Nicole and Heather were great hosts who frequently checked in with us before, during and after our stay to make sure we had a great time. The place was as described and as shown in photos. We loved our time there and would stay again if we find ourselves in Port Hope!

Tristan’s stay was amazing! From booking to checking out the entire process was seamless, not to mention the amenities in the AIRBNB were amazing - remember to bring your own toiletries but other than that - FANTASTIC stay chef’s kiss! We had a lovely girls weekend at Nikole's place. The home is beautifully decorated, the beds and couches are very comfortable, the kitchen was well-stocked with cookware to make some meals at-home, and the backyard is so cozy and cute (we didn't use it because of the rain but it looked very nice). The place is on a quiet street but still centrally located that it was no more than a 10 minute drive to downtown Barrie. Would definitely recommend!

What a wonderful experience! We spent a week at Lanny and Jennifer's BnB and absolutely loved it. The accommodation was exceptionally clean with an abundance of everything we could possibly need during our stay. The hosts went above and beyond to ensure we had a comfortable stay, and we truly appreciated the thoughtful touches. We highly recommend this listing and we are already looking foward to returning. We had a really nice time at Marias place. It's calm, cozy and has a great location. We liked the restaurant nearby and the walks at the seaside. Marias recommandations for activties we're also very helpful, espacially guests with dogs are very welcome! The communication with Maria was very good and fast because she told us everthing in advance.

I enjoyed a peaceful 2 weeks at this beautiful Airbnb! The setting is surreal surrounded by nature and a river! I had everything I needed and I enjoyed a few nights with a cozy fire in the wood stove. The bed and couches were very comfortable. The No Frills in Shelburne was a great grocery store nearby. Wendy was always very responsive and helpful. As clearly noted in the description, there is no cell service but not a big deal as there is wifi. I hope to be back again one day! A true gem!

The spa like vibes are accentuated with the multi faceted rain shower, warm candles, lavish linen, plush robes and a cozy fireplace. Not to mention, the price is an astronomical steal!! Derek and Doreen were extremely friendly, responsive, and hospitable, everything in the suite and in the backyard was as shown, if not better. They even gave us a gift as we had mentioned our wedding day was the day prior, couldn’t recommend them and this place enough, we would book again in a heart beat, thanks for everything Derek and Doreen!

Such a beautifully decorated and well-appointed space for our last minute “mini-moon!” The apartment was spotless and had absolutely everything we needed, and then some. The thoughtful touches (robes, slippers, treats) were much appreciated. We loved the hot tub with the river view. Robert and Taurean were friendly and very responsive hosts! We would return in a heartbeat.

This is one of the best Airbnbs I've ever stayed at. The location was beautiful, with the river running right through the back of the property and different seating areas to make you feel immersed in nature. The attention to detail on the inside was impressive. Frosted beer glasses in the freezer, complimentary bottle of wine, heated floors in the bathroom, super comfortable beds/sheets, nice TV with access to the major streaming platforms and cable. It was the perfect home base for our hiking weekend, and I would definitely go back. Derek was very responsive and a great host. Just can't say enough good things about the Cozy Cottage!

A beautiful place, with everything you need for a private romantic retreat, my girlfriend and I also enjoyed bringing our dogs along. I’d say if one thing could be changed I have a preference for a firmer bed.

Perfect spot to relax and unwind. Loved being steps away from the lake, hot tub, and sauna. Only an 8 minute drive to Lakefield, and about 20 minutes to the Curve Lake First Nations reserve. Hosts recommended a nice farm-to-table spot that we really enjoyed (The Cheeky Duck). The Nook was just what we needed and I happily recommend it to anyone looking to disconnect and kick back for a little while!

The place was great for a one-night stay, with a lovely small pond in front of the cottage, perfect for photography. A small river also flows nearby, adding to the charm. The downside was that the washroom was far, and I didn’t realize there was no shower until I found it mentioned in two small words in the description, which I missed. Would I return? Maybe, for one night for photography and videography.

My mum and I went to Meng/George’s cozy cottage for a little weekend getaway and we had a wonderful time! Being right on the water was truly amazing. The cottage also had everything we needed. Meng/George were great to communicate with and were very responsive. We will definitely be back. Would highly recommend this place as well!

We had a great time staying at the cabin this past weekend. The setting was peaceful and rustic, surrounded by beautiful farmland — a perfect place to unwind. We really enjoyed the fishing and the slower pace.
