Craigiehall Temple (historic property built 1759)

Built in 1759 and situated in its own grounds on a former part of the Craigiehall Estate, its Grade A listed for its stunning portico displaying the arms of the 1st Marquess of Annandale. A plaque on the wall carries a quote from Horace: "Dum Iicet in rebus jucundis vive beatus", "Live happy while you can among joyful things". The Bothy is stylishly converted from two jold stone farm cottages into a luxurious 2 bedroom cottage. The decor is a mix between birch ply panelling and polished cement, giving it a modern Scandi/Scottish feel, yet not losing its original charm and farm history. Some of the furniture has been made from beech and cedar from our farm. With view across the River Earn and surrounding hills, this is a perfect place to come, explore, unwind and relax.

It is perfect for those wanting to explore the beautiful surrounding area or even as a stop over on route to the highlands.

Accommodation offers lots of charm dating back to 1731 it’s one of the oldest properties in Bridge of Allan. Located on the doorstep of the University and all the vibrance and facilities that it has to offer while being in a beautiful private setting. Perfect for lovely country walks, the village has plenty of bars, restaurants and shops etc. Bridge of Allan is a stunning Victorian Spa town and easy to tour Scotland from.
