Limited to one group per day, it is a small building, so you can relax with 2-3 people. For the architecture, we use natural materials such as dirt walls with plaster walls, earthen rooms with grills, and bedrooms made of cypress from Mie Prefecture, so you can relax with peace of mind. A wood-burning stove is available during the winter months. Special acoustic wooden speakers can listen to music on records, CDs, and Bluetooth. You can also have a simple farming experience in the June farmland where you can grow pesticide-free vegetables.(Reservation fee required) You can fully enjoy the blessings of living in the city. You can cook by yourself using seasonal pesticide-free vegetables and Matsusaka beef at a nearby butcher shop. Wheelers Den is a cosy and quiet self contained house in a lovely rural village. Ideal as a base for experiencing authentic village life and exploring Nara, Wazuka and southern Kyoto. Amazing cycling, hiking, temples, 700 year old stone carvings, tea plantations, rice fields and mountains all close. Free rental bikes available. By train Nara is 15 minutes. Iga ninja museum and castle 35 mins. Kyoto 57 mins. Osaka 50 mins. Free parking for one car. A great place for a unique experience of Japan.

Beautiful countryside Artist house
It takes 3 hours from Kyoto, Osaka, and Nara. You can see a totally different aspect of the city side of Japan. Green mountains, clear river, Firefly, many stars, rice field, Vegetable field. The house is a beautiful nature. And also we have good neighbors. You will see the real Japanese countryside that is not written in the guidebook. The room is surrounded by my father's and my artworks. The huge kitchen, living room, and garden are yours. Please enjoy and relax in the cozy house.

Tokuto is a newly renovated private mansion built in the 1940s on Teshima. It is conveniently located about 15mins walk from Ieura Port. Enjoy the luxurious architecture of the past, such as the authentic hand blown window glass, Onigawara (Japanese gargoyle roof tiles), and the beautiful gardens with an abundance of stone lanterns. The building consists of 2 villas, King Villa & Queen Villa. As a measure against infectious diseases, we accept one group for each building.

Rent the entire building with parking lot for up to 8 people and 3 small / 2 ordinary cars. It’s perfect for long-term stays. The local grocery stores have bountiful seasonal ingredients and local game meat too.

"Genki House", a house near Kumano Hongu-Taisha
It’s a house 8km from the Hongu Taisha. (about 15 minutes' drive) If you have a car it's more convenient, but if not I'll be happy to drive you to and from a bus stop or a tourism spot in Hongu area. My family run an organic farm, bakery, NPO offering long-stay for the youth, and an alternative school for children nearby. You'll have some loaves of bread from our bakery(^^)/ (If you don't eat bread please let me know beforehand)

Check-in time is from 2:00 pm to 5:00 pm. Due to other work commitments, I can't accept check-ins after 5pm, but I will do my best to accommodate check-ins before 2pm. Check-in is not possible on Sunday.(Staying and check-out possible) This is a guest house that is a 100-year-old Japanese traditional house that I renovated myself. The old house is 300㎡ and the field is 300㎡. Recommended for couples, solo travelers, and families.
