Island Oasis—Near Downtown

ChristinaRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
Highlights: The bed is very comfortable for 2 sleepers. We have opposite preferences (I like firm, he likes soft) and we were both reasonably happy. My favorite part was that I didn't shoot off the bed like a cartoon character when he stood up - it's pretty well padded foam so the spring action of your grandma's guest bed is nowhere to be found here. Cotton everything was such a relief - I never find this much cotton at an Airbnb! The comforter, sheets, pillowcases, and towels...seriously heaven. The shower got hot quick with great pressure and was tall enough for my 6'2" husband. Guest mode on the Roku TV was an excellent discovery. The kitchen was well appointed and everything was easy to find and not cluttered or missing items. But most of all, the cherry on top was all the recommendations! I have lived in Charleston and worked on James Island and all the extra tips and tricks were new even to me. Can't recommend enough!

Bungalow Under The Oaks

CheyenneRating, 5 stars1 week ago
If you’re looking for a cute little place to chill for the weekend, this is a great choice! While the bungalow is a little smaller than anticipated (for 2 adults/2dogs), the fully fenced yard makes up for everything else. The yard is pretty much completely shaded by beautiful oak trees, and my dogs loved every second we spent out there. The road is busy during the day, but at night, it quiets down, and all you can hear are the cicadas.

My friend and I had an absolutely fantastic experience at this Airbnb! It was exactly as described—clean, cute, and very comfortable. The location was perfect: quiet, safe, and close to everything we needed. The host was incredibly kind and responsive, and made everything super clear, easy and smooth from check-in to check-out. We would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing and enjoyable place to stay while visiting the area.

JonathanRating, 5 stars1 week ago
This was our second time at Treehouse and it was just as good as the first! Katey and Jules are great hosts. The location is amazing - 10 minutes to downtown Charleston and 10 minutes to the beach. We love walking down Coleman to Shem Creek and enjoying the sights and sounds of the marsh. We love patriots point park and taking the water taxi to downtown. You won’t find a better a place for a couple getaway!

*Old Village/Shem Creek Charmer*NEW 2BR Guesthouse

GloriaRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
My husband and I had a wonderful 5 day stay at Georgia's apartment. Georgia's attention to detail was evident in each room. The furnishings and décor brings comfort and warmth to each space. We enjoyed a lunch of bbq ribs at Saltwater Cowboys (Shem creek) while we watched dolphins swim and pelicans dive for fish. We walked off our meal while striding down the Shem Creek boardwalk. We spent 2 days at Folly beach county park, soft sand and water temperature at 77F was lovely. We took advantage of the umbrella/sand chair rental which is delivered to your chosen beach spot. Upon request, Georgia provided us with big soft beach towels. Lastly, must say Mt. Pleasant is beautiful. I ran throughout the neighborhood (in training for a marathon), each house is beautifully distinctive, folks wave, and many bits of the town's history is displayed on sign plaques throughout. It was a great vacation for us!

Gas Light Carriage House Close to DT & Beach

BenjaminRating, 5 stars5 days ago
We loved this place - peaceful, flowers blooming outside the window, beautifully appointed with high-quality linens, towels, blankets, fresh-cut flowers bedside and orchids in the living area. The owners have given a lot of thought to the details and amenities. Scott was very kind to come to the car with an umbrella as it was pouring rain when we arrived. We would happily stay here if in the Charleston area again.

Spacious 1 bedroom cottage in Avondale

RyanRating, 5 stars3 days ago
My partner and I really enjoyed staying at Derek and Sarah’s guest house cottage in Avondale. Even though it was located in a suburban area, we found the cottage feeling quiet and secluded once inside. The interior was cozy, the bed was comfortable, and the kitchen very usable to cook some of our meals. We drove to Charleston, and we found the parking space easy to use and clearly marked. Derek and Sarah were very friendly and responsive with any questions we had. With a car, it was an easy drive to our visit to Folly’s Beach, our carriage ride in the French Quarter, shopping at the Charleston City Market, the harbor area for our sunset cruise, the Magnolia Plantation and Gardens, the Charleston Tea Garden, and a lot more. It was a perfect launching pad for a really memorable trip.

My Happy Place

KellyRating, 5 stars1 day ago
This was mine and my wife's first time in the Charleston area. I highly recommend this host, we have nothing but great things to say. the ability to check in early, the recommendations to food, activities and places to see, the comfort of the home and the thoughtfulness of having them leave a beautiful note and a bottle of bubbly for us due to our 8 year anniversary. I couldn't have asked for anything else. Thank you very much for everything. I would definitely stay here again.

Cozy Cottage! 5 mins from Kiawah!

ReneeRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Lucy’s super cute cottage. It was clean, well appointed, and with the perfect amount of space for a couple. Although we didn’t get a chance to try it out (a little too chilly), the outdoor bathtub was a charming feature, in addition to the other outdoor spaces available. We loved the close proximity to the beach and to downtown Charleston. We felt very comfortable and rested really well. We would absolutely come back to Lucy’s cottage, and I’m sure you will feel the same way!

DonnaRating, 5 stars1 week ago
We loved our little hideaway in beautiful Old Villag e! So peaceful, charming, close to everything we wanted to do! ....we biked OV, Shem Creek, Sullivans...and enjoyed the cute, clean, all we needed "home sweet home" while there! Very comfortable, quiet, well appointed. Robert and his adorable family were accommodating yet respectful of their guests privacy. It was an absolute pleasure to stay there! My sister and husband rented it first and it came highly recommended for the cleanliness, location and ease of everything! So we booked it too and were also very pleased! Easy peasy check out too! Thank you, Robert! Donna and Alex

Guesthouse Convenient to Charleston, Shem Creek, and Beaches

KatieRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
We enjoyed our stay. The place was clean, updated, and the perfect size for a couple. Neighborhood was filled with nice homes, was walkable, and very safe and quiet. We were within walking distance to several restaurants within a few blocks and walked to a great, nearby coffee shop for coffee and breakfast. Location was a plus for us; a quick car ride to Charleston, plus only 30 minutes to Folly Beach where we went for a day trip to the beach. Close enough to the action, but a nice hideaway from the hustle and bustle. Hosts were responsive - would definitely recommend!

Had a stopover here for a couple days on a larger trip. Cute little place, situated behind the main house with a driveway available. It's great for a solo traveler or couple. Very quiet and very clean. Not too far at all from Charleston which was easy to get to, as well as Sullivan's Island. All of which have plenty to see and do, with some great recommendations by the owners. Thanks for a nice stay!
