Waterfront vacation rentals in Island of Ortigia

Emilia was very kind and easy to communicate with. She was on top of all necessary information and offered a spacious and clean apartment for us to enjoy Ortigia. It is on a main street that is very loud for most of the night, which I wish I knew, as it made it hard to sleep.

Lovely apartment right in the centre of Ortigia. The place is on a nice quiet street so no crowd noises in the evenings. Loads of restaurants and shops in walkable distance. Ortigia has traffic restrictions so parking is about 20 min walk. The view from the balcony was amazing and the sea is just at the end of the street!

Where to even begin, okay: hospitality. These guys make you feel at home straight away. They went above and beyond for our baby with toys and a bed, the fridge was filled, a pie was baked and they responded very quickly. Lovely apartment, not super huge but we didn’t need that. Great part of town: you can walk everywhere. Literally. Also thought the price was very decent. Don’t hesitate: book!

Had a fantastic stay, apartment was even better than we'd hoped. Lovely and clean, great roof terrace. Right in the heart of Ortigia, easy to walk to everything.

Gabriella is a wonderful host, very responsive to queries and recommendations. The apartment is centrally located, clean and tidy with fabulous view and walking distance to everwheres! The bus/rail station is a walkable 15 minutes away for excursions to Noto, Modica and Ragusa. The fish, vegetable and fruit market is opposite to rustle up fresh lunch to be had on the roof terrace. Appreciated the mosquito shutters on the windows! This was our second visit to Ortiga and we are already planning our return and hope to stay at Gabriellas place again.

Wir hatten eine tolle Zeit in Syrakus - und das unter anderem Dank dieser schönen, super zentralen Wohnung! Die Gastgeber waren sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend, immer gut erreichbar und flexibel, was Check-in und -Out anging. Die Wohnung war geräumiger als ursprünglich gedacht und bot vielerlei Möglichkeit für gemeinsame Zeit aber auch Rückzugsmöglichkeiten. Wir können die Wohnung wärmstens weiterempfehlen!

We stayed at this house for a week with 4 people and had a really good time there. We were working most days which worked very well because of all the different areas to sit. The location is very quite and close to the rocky coast. We enjoyed the hikes along the sea. Except for this, there isn’t much to do in walking distance. We recommend a car for sure. The communication with the hosts was extraordinary. They gave us recommendations and the checkout was flexible which was convenient for us.

Wonderful location in beautiful Ortigia! Felt very safe, surrounded by lots of nice cafes and restaurants, 2 min walk to the most amazing views of the water. Super easy check-in and check-out which is great in case of any travel delays from Catania airport. Everything was clean and tidy and Marco is very responsive. There’s a bit of noise from the sidewalk at certain hours because it’s on the ground floor and looks out onto the street, but closing the windows muffles it pretty well. Highly recommend!

Libeccio Guest House is a very comfortable space in a really great location for exploring Ortigia and Siracusa. It was a bit hard to find at first, but we figured it out eventually, and each subsequent coming and going got easier as we got to know Ortigia better. Giuseppe was very responsive (with translation via AirBnB app messages) and he gave us great recommendations for where to eat and what to see. The steps between floors in the apartment are very steep, but we enjoyed all three areas (bedroom, kitchen, roof deck). Being so close to the market was great, and it was a short walk to several great places to eat.

Lucas Wohnung ist richtig geschmackvoll eingerichtet. Der Check-In war sehr unkompliziert und die Kommunikation immer schnell und verlässlich. Zur Cala Rossa, zum Dom, zum Markt - man spaziert in alle Richtungen nur 10 Minuten. Ich kann die Unterkunft nur empfehlen.

The apt. had everything you needed for a comfortable and perfect stay. The amenities were very thoughtful that Emanuele&Ivana provide for their guests such as slippers, cookies and a nice bottle of wine when checking in. The apt. Is beautifully decorated modern and elegant. Very comfortable bed , nice balcony and centrally located to restaurants and walkable for sightseeing and shops. Would highly recommend staying here .

Marcella ist sehr freundlich und zurückhaltend - wenn man sie braucht, ist die da, sie wohnt gleich nebenan. Die Lage der Wohnung ist wunderbar - man ist gleich in der Innenstadt und wir haben sogar in der Nähe immer einen kostenlosen Parkplatz gefunden. Die Wohnung ist gemütlich und das Haus hat Charme. Die orangefarbene Wand im Wohnzimmer ist jetzt lindgrün. Den Blick vom Balkon auf den Hafen haben wir sehr genossen.

Nous avons passé un séjour absolument parfait dans le logement de Robin. Dès les premiers échanges, sa communication a été fluide, réactive et bienveillante, ce qui nous a mis en confiance. Le logement, quant à lui, était impeccable, confortable et situé dans un quartier paisible, idéal pour se détendre. Chaque détail semblait pensé pour assurer notre bien-être. Robin a été un hôte exemplaire, toujours disponible pour répondre à nos questions et nous fournir des recommandations locales précieuses. I loved this apartment! it is in a superb location, a block from the ocean and walkable to every site, every store and every restaurant. it was cozy and it was quiet. I would come back here again in an instant! Maria and her partner were very friendly, interested in ensuring I had a great stay, and very accommodating when I asked if I could leave my luggage a bit longer beyond checkout. She couldn't have been kinder in agreeing to this and she even offered to drive me to meet friends rather than have me pull my luggage through the streets. She went above and beyond! Given the spotlessness of the apartment, the amenities, the recommendations, and its proximity to all, this is an absolute gem!!

Giovanna’s place was excellent for our 3 day stay in Ortigia! The apartment was clean and even better than the photos. It was in a great location, walkabale to many restaurants, shops and main attractions. Her co worker Nella met us on check in and she was very helpful in ensuring a smooth check in with plenty of recommendations. Highly recommend this place to anyone visiting!!

Die Wohnung bietet einen unglaublich schönen Ausblick und die beste Sunset-View. Man sollte sich allerdings bewusst sein, dass die Wohnung direkt an der Promenade mit vielen Restaurants liegt und es etwas laut ist - vor allem Freitag und Samstag. Alberto ist super freundlich und ist uns immer entgegengekommen. Die Ausstattung ist super.

My family, husband, grown up children and their partners had an unforgettable time at Lucia's apartment. Every thing was clean and the beds were so comfortable. The towels were soft and she had provided everything we needed; towels for the beach, mats to sunbathe on for the brilliant terrace, a coffee pod recycling gadget and shady umbrellas for the terrace. The very large TV had lots of streaming platforms and our musician enjoyed playing the piano and mandolin in this superbly elegant apartment. Lucia was very responsive and recommended a taxi driver to pick us up and take us back to the airport. This made life very easy for us.

Miriam and family were wonderful hosts. They personally escorted us to the apartment on Ortigia Island and made the process a breeze. We really enjoyed Ortigia Island and Miriam's apartment is a perfect place to explore it. Everything about our stay exceeded our expectations.

We had the most amazing stay at 'Flying Whales'. It was super easy to find and Leandro's mum, Rosy gave us great instructions for our arrival. She also left us some wine and goodies which was super thoughtful🥰 and even checked in with us by text during the holiday to check all was good. We absolutely loved our stay from start to finish and the icing on the cake is the amazing roof terrace with spectacular views. It's an amazing place to stay, right in the heart of beautiful Ortigia and we were sad to leave, but hoping to come and stay at your lovely apartment again.
