High Tech, Castello Tetti e Mare

The Maniac Castle, the fortress that protects the entrance of the large port of Syracuse, a natural cove overlooking the east side of YOUR "poster" from the terrace where you can enjoy sunsets and dreamy sunrises. It is located on Via Salomone, a small curving street that leads to the castle square where single-story houses alternate with tall 19th-century buildings. One of these has been completely renovated, the staircase ends on the third floor of the building that, like an island suspended between the roofs, allows you to enjoy a breathtaking view of all four squares of the compass. To the west on the Natural Port of Syracuse, to the east, to the south on the Maniac Castle and on the opposite entrance to the port from which the Plemmirio Marine Reserve departs, and finally, to the north, stands out on the blue sky of Ortigia, the dome and bell towers of the cathedral built on the temple of Minerva and the church of Santa Lucia on the Bay, both of which sit in the majestic Piazza Duomo. The remarkable height of the attic has allowed us to give the house a loft area and create another level supported by glass insert, iron slabs, goldsmiths and wooden slabs that create a pleasant continuity and amplify views of the sky and sea. The effect is that of a free tower on four sides. The rooms are very bright thanks to 4 large Velux skylights on the roof of the main bedroom and the seven balconies that now frame the dome of the Chiesa del Spirito Santo that stands along the eastern sea, now a stretch of sea crossed by local fishermen's boats. While from the terrace, 20 square meters cut into the sloping roof, accessed by two French doors, dominates the entire island of Ortigia. The entrance leads directly to the kitchen, consisting of a wooden island complete with all the high tech accessories that, without a continuous solution, leads to the living area collected around the fireplace, from here an exposed iron staircase, opposite the submarine-style kitchen side with storage room below. It takes us to the level of the terrace in a completely transparent glass mezzanine. On the western side, there is a first bedroom of about 40 sq. meters above which is the other bedroom of the same size that you reach through the wooden staircase that also leads to the bathroom and the second entrance to the terrace. The tech part is completed by flat internet connection and WiFi, additional Hi FI system with amplified subwoofer to listen to music from any MAC, PC, tablet or mobile apple/android device. Last but not least, air conditioning that you will probably never need to use considering the microclimate present in your "Space Place" additional value that you will find.

Step into a home where the minimalist decor is elevated by designer lighting, vintage furnishings, and contemporary art adorning the walls. The apartment is on a top floor 1880 building, NO ELEVATOR (travel light), the location is on the centre of Siracusa (5 min walk from Ortigia and the other amenities of the town) bars restaurants and small and big supermarkets are walking distance (maximum 5 min) . There's one bed room (ask if you need a baby bed) with a double queen size bed. One spacious bathroom and a kitchen. A full furnished apartment with everything you need, coffee maker, kettle, washing machine dishes. The terrace has a unique view, perfect for dinners and an aperitivo at sunset. Over looking on the small bay the east view and the west view overlooking on the mountains, if you're lucky you'll be able to see the Volcano Etna. I use to live on the same floor, in another apartment at the next door Archeological park is 10 min walk, the bus station and train station are 5 min walk, beach and historical sites in less then 10 min walk.
