House vacation rentals in Iowa

The house was just as described in the listing, very clean and comfortable. Our teens loved the finished basement and we all loved the pool, backyard and patio! We highly recommend this property!

We had a great stay. Host was very responsive and sent clear instructions for checkin. Location was really good for a family reunion we were attending in Caledonia, MN. Whiel the house is on a highway next to a motel, it was very private and quiet in the house. House has 3 bedrooms (each with a queen size bed) as well as a basement with 2 queen beds, so there was plenty of room for all of us. Most of the house was very clean and neat. There were a ton of amenities and the kitchen was very well stocked. The only bad thing was that someone had put away dirty dishes in the cupboards and drawers. Since the guest is supposed to clean all dishes and put them away before leaving, I am assuming that the previous guests did this. However, the cleaners should probably check for this. I would stay here again if visitng relatives in MN.

Hands down our best Airbnb experience ever. Had a large group of 10 family members stay for a local wedding. The house was the perfect place to hang out - pool, fire pit, game room in the basement, massive living room, kitchen and dining room. On top of that, the decor was amazing, the beds were comfy, and everything was in pristine condition. It's obvious the hosts have impeccable taste and have gone above and beyond to make the stay an amazing experience for their guests. Would definitely rent again!! Thanks so much!!

This place was more perfect than I could of imagined. Location was great and house was beautiful. Had plenty of space for my 9 buddys and I. We all got along well with the owners and was actually pretty nice having them around. Id definitely stay at this place again. Worth the drive and money. Thank you!

The home is large and great for many people. The party barn was an amazing place to hang out with family and play games. The home and yard is very private, we saw deer running across the yard. The check in and check out was so easy.

My wife and I came into town for a graduation and stayed five nights. The property was exactly what we were hoping for and more. Amazing walking trails, very close to downtown with bars and restaurants.. The view of the river was really the highlight for us, escaping city life for a peaceful riverfront retreat. The house was well equipped and we needed for nothing. Tons of space and friendly neighbors. We saw plenty of wildlife and watched boaters go up and down the river. We will be back and look forward to staying here for years to come. I was born and raised and the town and never saw this great riverfront location.

Garden area was a nice retreat. Loved the dog welcome wagon; so friendly and easy going. Great bakery within walking distance and close to downtown. Great coffee maker

Our stay was great and Sheila was always very responsive. The house was beautiful and peaceful surroundings made it perfect for our family. The kitchen was fully stocked with everything we needed to cook. The bathrooms and laundry area were clean and fully stocked which we appreciated as well. Being close to the water and heavy rain prior to our arrival made the bugs outside difficult to get used to but Sheila quickly informed us and tried her best to clean up and I appreciated that as it was beyond anyone's control. The decor of the home was nice and we felt very comfortable. I would certainly love to return at some point. Thank you.

This place was perfect for a weekend get away! Nate was a great host and made sure to answer all questions and be super responsive. The location was great and the whole house was beautiful. We had a wonderful time!

We found this gem for a last minute getaway and it checked all our city escape boxes! The water was such a nice feature and having the boats available for us right there on the property was really nice. We can’t wait to come back again another time!

June Anne's place was absolutely beautifully! It was exactly as described, extremely clean and wonderfully decorated. It was the perfect place for us to stay while visiting family in the area. June Anne thought of everything. I would definitely stay here again!

We have stayed in many airbnbs, in many countries, and many states. This may jave been our favorite. The property was perfect, secluded, and so relaxing. Just loved this place!

My siblings and I take a trip every year, they really love fishing so I had to reserve a house on the lake. Fishing was great, some fish weighed 8 to 10 pounds; This was our biggest haul ever. We caught buffalo, carp, and of course, catfish. It was like heaven. The Home was beautiful, beds were comfortable, plenty of extra lien and everything was clean. The kitchen was a common area, we cooked every day, breakfast and dinner. The island sat 8 to 10 People marble countertops, with great lighting that led into the living room. The open space allowed everyone to be seen collectively. We ate dinner at the dining table nightly, the eight seats accommodated everyone. Bedrooms were spacious, three full bathrooms, television’s everywhere all 4K. Did I say it was absolutely amazing. We are glad we selected this home and would love to revisit. Our host Holly gave great recommendations, guided us, responded expeditiously, and was very professional. I will give this 10 stars if I could.

Kari and Patrick were the real MVPs! Their little home was so welcoming from the moment we walked in. And when needed, they were there to help make sure we were taken care of, whether it was setting aside some extra flowers for us, starting a cozy fire, or even tracking down a screwdriver when we needed one – they were always there when we needed them, with full-on southern hospitality and big “we’ve got you” energy. If you’re dreaming up a girls trip or just need a peaceful weekend reset with your people, do yourself a favor and head to Norwalk to stay at the Victoria. 10/10 would book again, no notes.

This place is beautiful! Brian was really nice and easy to work with, and very responsive to any questions I had! We had a nice vacation! Will definitely be back!

Susan was absolutely wonderful as a host! Her place was beautiful and very clean. She left easy to follow instructions for caring for her place as well as some suggestions of things to do. Everything was labeled around the house to make it easier for us to find what we needed which was VERY helpful! I will keep her place in mind if we ever get back that way.

Clean beautiful home right on the lake. Our family of six was very comfortable here. Sarah was very responsive and a great host. Wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again.

Mara's place was perfect! We had 14 people from Nevada, Minnesota, Wisconsin and Missouri and had plenty of room to spread out. The kitchen was well equipped with everything we needed. Grilling was a breeze and dining on the patio was super. Beds were comfortable and plenty for all. Mara was quick to answer questions and recommended "Buoys bar and grill on the lake, which had good food and cold drinks on this hot summer weekend. The water trampoline off the pier was a blast! I would highly recommend Lake House Retreat for a large group fun

Andrea’s place was clean and comfortable for our overnight stay. Driveway parking was convenient and very much appreciated. Andrea communicated that the rental was available for an early arrival. We were able to get settled and went for a nice walk around the Central College campus. The rental is quiet and private. We slept great in the very comfortable bed. The sunshine was so beautiful as we enjoyed our morning coffee. We were in town to golf at Bos Landen and it was a short 4 minute drive from the rental. Andrea is a great host and this is a lovely rental. Thank you for sharing this amazing piece of history with us.

This was a perfect place to stay for our family. The bedrooms are very spacious. We enjoyed the snacks left by the host. We also really enjoyed sitting out on the porch.
