Kid-friendly vacation rentals in Hveragerði

The renovated water tower is a lovely and clean home. There are large sliding doors on each floor that open up to give access to the outdoors or cool off the home. The main bathroom with a shower is located on the ground floor and comes with shampoo, conditioner and shower gel. There is also a hair dryer and many towels available. The bathroom on the second level was small and could be accessed through the main bedroom. The kitchen was bright and open. There was plenty of seating for the 4 of us, although the bench seat by the kitchen table could be thoroughly washed. Plenty of dishes and kitchen essentials. Washer and drying rack were a pleasant addition to the home and made traveling light easier. The rooms were cozy and the beds are comfortable. The stairs are steep but easy to navigate for our children (ages 7 and 9). The views from inside and from the deck are beautiful. The two birds nesting outside are quite friendly. Earlier guests named them Chuck and Larry.

What a great place to stay for so many reasons. The home itself has been perfectly curated by its owners/hosts. It’s spotless, beautiful, and unbelievably comfortable. The sweet harbor town is so quaint. Highly recommend. The hosts are the cherry on top!

we really enjoyed our stay. The cottage is setup very well and very comfortable. The location is perfect for exploring the south west of Iceland.

What an amazing place. The cottage is located in a beautigful fjord with an uncredibld view towards the sea and mountains partly covered in snow. We enjoyed our stay to the fullest. A beautiful place at a beautiful and peaceful location easily accessible to Reykjavik and Thingvellir onwards to Strokkur. The house is clean, and as described. Unnur is easily accessible and respond to queries promptly.

I booked Emma and Oskars place for clients of mine, they were very happy, communication was great, I can well recommend.

The barn house was beautifully built and decorated with spectacular views. The skylight windows were perfect for watching for the northern lights. The kitchen had all the basics and some extras like a nespresso machine and pods. We enjoyed cooking there and using the hot tub. The washer and dryer were super helpful. It was a great launching place for the Golden Circle. Stokkseyri is a cute little town with a great local pool. The turf house across the street was fun to explore as was the beach on the other side of the turf wall. It is very near Bakkahestar for highly recommended Icelandic horse rides with a local couple on the beach in Eyrarbakki. Nearby Selfoss has anything you need including an amazing fish market Fiskbud Suderlands for great prices on fresh caught local fish. Kristinn was very responsive and we loved our stay!

This place is truely amazing! It is surrounded by nature and the view is outstanding. We would love to come back one day and would happily recommend it to others!

Not only the place itself, but the entire environment was wonderful. There was also a lot of helpful information after booking, for example which car rental is good. Communication was flawless. We would definitely choose this location again.

Great location in Reykjavik. Walkable to most attractions near central Reykjavik. Parking garage around corner but is closed from Midnight to 7am. Only had an issue with those times once. They pull down steel doors so you can’t enter or exit. You could hear the neighbors but they offered ear plugs for you to pick u on 4th floor. Also had bags of ice for your use ( this was a great luxury in Iceland)! We also used the guest washer and dryer (nice perk). Would stay again!

Very nice cozy appartement with everything you need for some days, e. g. dish washer, washing maschine, shampoo and shower gel. The surrounding area is very quiet and beautiful. Véronique is a very friendly host, the communication was very easy and fast all the time. I can really recommend her appartement when you want to stay over night near Vik!

Home in Reykjavík was perfect - great location with parking , great kitchen, bathroom, and super comfortable bed - I loved it. Prior to arrival Thordis sent me a number of messages which included details on the apartment and its use, and information about sites of interest in the Reykjavik environs. Welcoming and cosy place, as soon as we arrived we found everything very clean and tidy, kitchen equipped with everything you need to prepare something to eat, very clean bathroom, room equipped with Smart TV and vacuum cleaner. The owner of the house is always available for any eventuality. If I were to return to Iceland I would gladly book another stay with him.

This apartment is spacious, tidy, and well-equipped. It’s not the newest or most recent, but it’s still in fairly good condition. I wish there were a tumble dryer in addition to the laundry machine. The Wi-Fi is super fast, and the location is great—right in the heart of Reykjavik. Parking is just a two-step walk from the front door. The neighbourhood is quiet and nice, but it can be a bit hard to find at night. I wish there were a photo guide that would lead you to the front door. Overall, it’s a great apartment, and I’d definitely recommend it.

Stayed in Iceland for a week and was a great place to stay! Host was very responsive, and helpful when needed. He provided very helpful instructions and recommendations for the stay. The place was clean and as described! The location was close to the city and many destinations while still being in a peaceful quieter part of town. Would stay here again if I was to travel here again!

The place is maintained very well, has very nice warm vibes and good interiors. The location of the place is excellent, one can just spend days looking outside from the balcony.

The Airbnb was easily accessible and well equipped with washing machine, dryer and fully equipped kitchen. There was also a designated parking spot for your vehicle. Magnus was responsive and extremely helpful in answering any queries. Would recommend this place

Beautiful apartment at a new development, easily reachable by car. We found everything we needed here as a couple visiting Iceland for the first time. The place is very clean and modern, and is a cosy and comfortable base while exploring the stunning country.
