Holidays at the Icelandic Horse Farm

KellyRating, 5 stars1 month ago
Charming accommodations away from the hustle and bustle of a city. Our family loved seeing the sheep (and baby lambs!), horses, and dogs on the property surrounding the unit. Perfect centralized location if looking to spend time on the south coast without having to drive all the way from Reykjavik every day.

The farmhouse. 2 nights minimum

ElinRating, 5 stars1 week ago
Wow! What a place! The home was absolutely beautiful. The children loved all the games and toys, and the playhouse bed was something from a dream, as was the bath in the bedroom. It was comfortable and roomy, and in the most peaceful setting. We took a walk to the waterfall down the road as recommended by the host and we're awed. I was very sad to leave this place and move on to the next.

Old farmhouse by Eyjafjallajökull

WilliamRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
Our group of 5 stayed at Tomas' place for 2 nights. It is a very pretty farm house in a great location between the must see waterfalls of Skogafoss and Seljalandsfoss. The house is very big and has a washer and dryer which was nice as many rentals do not have a dryer. The house was very clean and had all amenities. Would definitely stay here again.

Beautiful house with panorama view

EmmieRating, 5 stars2 months ago
Great place to be when exploring the South Coast. The cabin is in a hill and thoughtfully decorated. It snowed while we were there and the space made us feel at home. We were able to cook our breakfast with a beautiful panoramic view. The bonus is petting their horses. Overall, an amazing experience! Highly recommended!

This was a wonderful stay. We appreciated experiencing staying on an Icelandic farm including the opportunity to walk around and observe the farm's animals. The host was very responsive and the freshly picked flowers as a welcome was lovely. I highly recommend you stay here.

Sisi's Cozy Farmhouse

DarylRating, 5 starstoday
Wonderful stay at sisi's place. Very large and more than sufficient for our family of five. Well equipped and conveniently located along our route, just 20mins away from the GOT waterfall. Best of all, Sisi was super responsive and proactive with directions and other information. Maria, the neighbour's cat, popped by for a visit too.

Black Beach Aurora Dome

JacquelineRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
This was a peaceful retreat, slept like a baby with heated bedding. The shades come down to block out the sun during 18 hour sunlight days. Host offered sleep masks. This place is remote but worth it. Pick up groceries before you go as there are no options for stores along the way. There’s a quick 10-15 min walk to the untouched beach. The house sitter is the nicest lady and made us feel right at home!

Glacial Glass Cabin

SridattRating, 5 stars6 days ago
I cannot say enough about how incredible our stay was here, and how above and beyond the hosts went. I highly recommend this spot for anyone looking for a beautiful, private getaway. Seeing how pretty the place looked in the pictures, I booked this spot to bring my fiancé to after proposing to her on the south coast. The hosts were kind enough to pick up decorations that I ordered from a nearby post office, and decorate the place beautifully well in time before I brought her there. They were extremely communicative in the weeks leading up to my stay, and put so much time, care, and attention to detail into the decorations while asking for nothing in return. In addition, the place was absolutely spotless and clean throughout. If you're looking for a serene stay with stunning views, cleaned to the highest standard, with extremely friendly and responsive hosts, this is your place.

Loved the location, the views and all the amenities available. It was a perfect place for the two of us, cosy and had all we needed and more. Only thing I'd recommend to take with you, that we forgot, would be slippers.

What an amazing experience. The cottage is private and has one of the best scenic landscapes and views that I have ever experienced with air bnb. Instructions were clear and accurate. The house was very clean and perfect for a short stay if you are seeking accommodation on the south coast. Highly recommended!

What a place. As a fan of tiny homes, this one was up there. Amazing view, sauna, hot tub, beautiful inside. Nothing more you need. Anna the host is awesome as well. Super nice and helpful. Really fast to respond and offered me an extended check out without even asking. Can’t recommend this place enough. Will be back again. %100

Mói Hut

DanaeRating, 5 stars5 days ago
Lovely little cottage in the moorlands. Felt very homey and private. It had everything we needed in addition to many cute little touches throughout, including fresh eggs, binoculars, a stuffed dog for me to cuddle when I’m missing mine on vacation. Host lives nearby and was very friendly and responsive. It was the perfect spot for our time spent exploring south Iceland. Highly recommend!
