Tiny house vacation rentals in Hancock County

It’s a cute little den! Not quite glamping, but a step up from a tent. The outside set up is awesome. The inside is small, but you have all you need. The bed is a twin and a little high off the ground, so if you have two adults (especially one that moves around at night) the bed can be a bit tight. The outhouse is a walks away, which is fine in the day but a little scary at night. The location is awesome. It’s about 25-30 minutes from Bar Harbor and Acadia, so you can enjoy the tourist/ hiking activities and return to peace and quiet. Overall, we loved it. I super recommend this place for anyone who wants an elevated camping experience.

The Hideaway is located at a convenient and very peaceful location, with cafes and restaurants at a walkable distance. Suggest to download offline maps and google maps got us to the correct location every time. Hideaway is a short drive from Bar Harbor and other places in and around Acadia. Marc and Victoria are wonderful hosts- very responsive and provided some amazing suggestions on places to eat and hike. :) We would love to comeback and stay at this quaint and beautiful property.

This is a perfect little rustic gem, and actually quite spacious, and the little back deck facing the lupine field wonderful. Minimal traffic on the road, and the walk to the bathroom is an easy 100 feet. Casual and not precious. Perfect for us Mainers on a work trip up to nearby Acadia. Highly suggested.

Super cute rustic cabin, amazing location but remote. We enjoyed it very much, had a cute little porcupine eating the apples out of the tree next to us. Very “chill” vibe at this place, if you are looking for fancy… not for you.

Rick and Karens place was an absolutely beautiful relaxing getaway. It was a perfect central point to all we had planned for the weekend. It was so peaceful, we had the chance to see a few very nice deer right out front as we watched the sunrise. I would highly recrecommend anyone to take advantage of this space. The house was spotless and provided anything you could need for a very relaxing getaway. I look foreward to returning.

We loved our stay! We wanted something that felt like camping with some accommodations for the chillier temperatures in fall.

Cute place with everything we needed. Very peaceful and private location but close enough to Bar Harbor and hiking trails in the park. All in all, perfect for our needs.

The home itself was awesome and truly unique. Also very comfortable. There are trails to visit and you really can’t find a bad view. Everyone on the island was friendly. I will suggest you bring food over because there is a very small market with your basics but if you need anything specific you should bring it over. We also recommend making your return reservations at the time of your arrival for the ferry. We were almost stranded because certain Wednesday’s of the month are called “wacky Wednesday” due to being fewer ferries available and reservations being sold out the night before. Just be aware of that. Otherwise the island is gorgeous and Gregory’s home is truly special. We would definitely return.

My husband and I had a great stay. We really enjoyed the fire pit outside in the evenings. The home was very cozy and had everything we needed. Close drive to Bangor.

Can’t say enough amazing things about our stay! The cabin and property are so thoughtfully designed and laid out, it’s so peaceful and relaxing. David & Bill shared local recommendations prior to our trip and all of them were 10/10 - from restaurants to general stores, everywhere we went was a standout. We knew going into it we’d be about an hour from Acadia, so the drive didn’t bother us. We spent our days in Bar Harbor and our evenings near the house, eating at incredible local spots exploring the Sedgwick area. The local snacks upon arrival were really the cherry on top.

We had an incredible stay at Brittany’s place, despite a weekend of rain!! :) It was warm and inviting and had all of the accommodations we needed (incl a lot of kitchen supplies). Brittany was also super responsive and easy to book with! The weather wasn’t the best, so we weren’t able to use the outdoor amenities like the deck and outdoor fireplace, but I loved my time in Maine so much, im already mentally planning my trip back! The one thing that I wanted to note about the house is that the hot water in the shower gets more and more cold with more uses, so if you have more people, just make sure to plan for that. Thanks for an incredible time!!

My family and I, along with my two dogs, had a fantastic time! The cabin was incredibly charming with beautiful views. If you're seeking a relaxing getaway, this is the place to be! Toby was extremely helpful and responsive. He answered all my questions and assisted me in finding the cabin when I got lost. I would definitely return again! Mandi and Michael’s place was a dream come true! Our jaws dropped the moment we stepped foot out of the car and walked the path to the cabin. As hosts, they thought of everything we could need and more. Our stay at the Happy Loon was better than we could’ve imagined. Thank you both for making our trip so magical. We appreciate your hospitality and for sharing your beautiful property with us.

Overall nice place. Stonington was nice but more secluded than initially thought. The house was mostly clean minus some minor hairs and bits on the towels and bedding. Overall I think this is a solid place to stay exclusively looking at the house. It isn't uncomfortably close to other houses although it is closer to the rental it shares the land plot with than the pictures let on. Easy to get to but I would recommend a small car as the gravel path that leads to the house leaves little room at the end to turn around (There is room to park at the entrance to the gravel path if you opt to)

This is the perfect place for a quiet, cozy weekend getaway for a couple! About a 45 minute drive to Bar Harbor and/or Acadia, we spent the days exploring and the nights cooking and playing card games. The kitchen was fully equipped with everything you might need and the bed was very comfortable. Tucked away on a quiet road, we felt right at home in the trees.

Keri’s place was even better than the pictures! A well appointed tiny home with everything you need and nothing you don’t. I appreciated the little touches like the seltzer water, ramen packets, granola bars and filtered drinking water. Keri was also friendly and welcoming. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay and could have stayed an entire week!

10/10 would recommend this cabin to anyone. Very clean and amazing location.

We have stayed in a lot of air bnb. This one is quite memorable in that there is space in the binder to draw . And so we did. We had a wonderful time here . Thank you

what an incredible! place!! felt right at home and so safe. it was cozy with the heater since the temps were lower than expected. it was absolute perfection!! Sean and Carra sent some great recommendations, we loved Abel's Lobster! and it was such a a bonus to be on the quiet side of the island. thank you for making this the trip of a lifetime!

Nice place to stay for Acadia trip, about 30-35 mins from the main portion of the park. Kitchenette worked well and street was pretty quiet

Such an amazing, cozy little haven with amazing hosts! They left us detailed instructions on how to find the place and check-in, as well as a lovely list of suggested restaurants, shops, and places to visit. It's about an hour's drive from Bar Harbor but the serenity and privacy of the cottage, as well as the great value, are well worth it, and the route to and from is scenic and gorgeous. Jeannie met us when we arrived and showed us around, she was so warm and kind! This was such a great place for my boyfriend and I to stay on our first vacation together (in our first AirBnB) and I am so grateful to Jack and Jeannie for their hospitality! I would definitely recommend this to others planning to visit Acadia and the surrounding area.
