Absolutely loved our stay here! If you're someone who enjoys being close to nature and traveling with your dog, this place is perfect. The surroundings are peaceful and green. Fabiola was super friendly and made everything easy from check-in to check-out. The house rules were clear and straightforward, which made the whole experience stress-free. We felt really welcomed and comfortable the entire time. All in all, a great stay—we’d definitely come back!

This was such a delightful, peaceful & beautiful place to stay. Shelby was extremely responsive & helpful. I appreciated that she went the extra mile to alert me to the Aurora Borealis & encourage me to see it from the point. When the power went out b/c of a local car accident, she kept me updated with information about cause & when power was expected to return & provided flashlights & a special battery powered lightbulb to provide light. I couldn't have asked for more!

We loved our stay in Lily's Gypsy Wagon. The wagon was comfy and cozy. The location was breathtaking and we enjoyed the sights and sounds of nature all around us. The campsite had everything we needed including plenty of seating, a wood deck, a firepit and a grill tucked into the trees but overlooking the water. The beach provides an amazing view of the Islands of Acadia national park, and was in a constant state of transformation as the tide came in and out. Our stay was exactly what we needed to relax and recharge. Thanks Lily!

The cabin was breathtaking, with a history painted and photographed among her walls. Perfect amount of space to accommodate a family should you have one. The morning sunrise was spiritual, and humbling. Host was incredibly friendly and accommodating for our dog. Arjuna. Will absolutely be returning. Thank you for an amazing and beautiful experience.

good value, a little creepy if you're showing up at night (haunted vibes) a little damp smelling, especially in the bathroom (since it's carpeted) but the view makes up for everything. beds and sheets were all clean and comfortable upon arrival.

Christy’s cottage was absolutely amazing. From the outdoors to the interior she thought of everything and the property was very dog friendly. Loved the quiet neighborhood and proximity to surrounding areas. Was very easy to get to Bar Harbor. We had an amazing time and hope to visit again and enjoy all the cottage and area has to offer. Highly recommend!!

Really enjoyed this trip we stayed. Michelle is welcoming and helpful for our check-in. Like the description mentioned is 10 seconds walk to the lake, and my dog enjoyed the time hangout on the dock. Even the weather is not the best to get into the water but we really like the lake view of the house. Location is perfect for anyone looking to go to Acadia and Bar Harbor, but don’t wanna pay thousands dollars per night.

This house is remarkably beautiful and welcoming. The walls of windows welcome sunshine throughout and the private views of the water are unmatched. Artistic details abound in the interior - like Anthro and West Elm had a baby. We vacationed with our toddler and my in-laws and we all had ample space to gather, as well as disperse. Highly recommend! Local recs: The Activity Shop for kayak rental delivery, pizza from Blaze, coffee from Bucklyn, brunch at Humblebee Cafe, sundries from Blue Hill Co-op, blueberry pie from Mount Desserts (on way to Acadia).

My husband and I, and our two pups had a fantastic time in the Carriage House for a week. Part of a breathtaking private/secret compound on the water…with the most incredible private tidal pool. The place is so authentic, which is what we love about staying in ME when we can escape. We were so blessed to find Margaret’s place last minute. Margaret’s mother, Sally, and her husband were in the main Kate’s house. So so sweet they were to us and our girls. A dog paradise. We are foodies. Plenty of good restaurants around - just a few minutes to the adorable village of Stonington. Around the corner is one of the best restaurants in the country - Aragosta. We can’t wait to return…hopefully, in the Fall. A trip we will always remember. Thank you, Margaret & Family.

This stay was absolutely beautiful!!! It looked EXACTLY like the photos, maybe even better! It’s right on the water with a gorgeous view. If you like swimming in your own front yard and sitting up in bed to stunning landscape, this is the stay for you. We spent our time relaxing in one of the most comfortable beds Ive had at any hotel/airbnb, swimming in the water right off the dock, and watching wildlife right from the porch. The area is a large property with multiple stays, and while we passed our neighbors a few times we still had tons of privacy. This would be the perfect location for large groups wanting to rent the entire property/multiple stays on the property. We will hopefully be back in the future with the whole family!

My return visit to the Boathouse was even lovelier than I hoped it would be. The location can't be matched by anything else I've seen. I enjoyed a September visit with my dog and was lucky to have pristine weather. I lived a very simple and healthy outdoors life and came home the better for it. The Boathouse is true to its description: it is simple and rustic and uncomplicated but well-equipped, and is perfect for one-and-dog, or for two people. A little coming-and-going from the neighboring houses meant that I didn't feel isolated. Margaret is truly an exceptional and friendly host who communicates promptly and clearly. I almost hesitate to share "my" Boathouse location with too many of my back-home friends because it feels so intimate and special. I already want to be back there. I offer my deep thanks to Margaret and to the place that I could - briefly - call home.

Gerald's place was exactly as described. We planned a trip to Acadia but didn't want to stay in or near Bar Harbor, due to the large crowds. This place was the perfect retreat and only a 45 minute drive to the park. Would absolutely stay again.

A wonderfully charming spot to stay while exploring Acadia national Park and the surrounding areas. Rita was a delight, with fantastic instructions on how to find the place, recommendations for current happenings around town, and she was very responsive for any and all questions I may have had. The pictures don’t do this property justice, I highly recommend!

This cottage is set back from the road and surrounded by a wooded area, so it is very private. The waterfront access was amazing! Rent a kayak - ask Debbie and Annie for the local contact - and enjoy your time kayaking along the beautiful coastline. Ride your bike, go for a run, or for a leisurely walk along the sparsely traveled roads and enjoy the nice scenery! Brink your wet suit and snorkeling set and enjoy looking at the ocean floor and going for a swim. The nearby towns of Ellsworth and Blue Hill have everything you might need. The cottage is spacious, comfortable, and has all of the conveniences needed. Acadia National Park is a must see, and it is a short scenic drive away. We see ourselves coming back to this place!

Very peaceful, beautiful location. Quiet and restful. Good fishing in the lake. Nice hikes & walks nearby. Easiest check-in ever. Everything worked perfectly. Wish we had booked two weeks instead of one. Hope to return. One recommendation, bring enough food for a day or two on arrival. It's a looong way to a typical grocery store. The Dunbar Store on Rt 1 has a little bit of everything, friendly staff, and is fairly close.

We had an incredible stay at Brittany’s place, despite a weekend of rain!! :) It was warm and inviting and had all of the accommodations we needed (incl a lot of kitchen supplies). Brittany was also super responsive and easy to book with! The weather wasn’t the best, so we weren’t able to use the outdoor amenities like the deck and outdoor fireplace, but I loved my time in Maine so much, im already mentally planning my trip back! The one thing that I wanted to note about the house is that the hot water in the shower gets more and more cold with more uses, so if you have more people, just make sure to plan for that. Beautiful & magical spot! Views of water were gorgeous to wake up to. Being able to walk out onto the beach was wonderful. Cabin was clean, soaring ceilings, very open and bright. Loved it!
