House vacation rentals in Escondido

I am a San Diego local, but my family was coming to town and we needed more space. I picked this place because I knew my sister and brother-in-law would love being able to walk to all the restaurants and brewery nearby and my 6 year old nephew would get a lot of use out of the pool. The place exceeded my expectations, it was perfect for everyone. We spent a lot of time in the backyard swimming or playing board games, and my Mom got a lot of use out of the hot tub. Communication with the host was excellent and the place was comfortable and clean. The only downside is my family might visit too often now!

This house was beautiful and the pool was amazing! Gabe was responsive and very friendly. check in was easy. The beds were so comfy, and everything was pristine. thank you again for hosting my family of 9 plus doggies! we will Def be returning soon! p.s. The pool heating was so worth it!

This location met every expectation. It was perfect for the entire family. The host was very helpful on check-in with extensive directions to meet all our needs. He contacted us periodically throughout our stay to be sure we had anything that was needed. The location was private with an amazing view! The amenities were exactly as described in the advertisement. We look forward to returning next year!

My wife and I had a very relaxing time at this luxurious and breathtaking location. It was a beautiful home with a magnificent birds eye view of the enitre valley. The hosts were very kind, responsive, and helpful with any questions. All in all, a memorable experience the we joke about because it must have been some kind of dream. We had such an amazing time. So many activities to do at Kathleen’s. Our kids love the pond, swimming pool, fishing, pickleball, and appreciate all the outdoors amenities. Definitely a gem to visit for families. The home is a little dated. But all the outdoor activities make up for it.

This was our second stay at Juliet’s beautiful home in Escondido, and it was just as wonderful as the first! Great host as always. We loved how quiet it was, relaxing by the pool, and how easy everything was from check-in to check-out. Can’t wait to come back again!

Doug and Luanne were absolutely wonderful hosts! Luanne communicated clearly and promptly, even reaching out before and after our stay to make sure we had everything we needed and left us fresh fruit and some lovely wine. Even though they had to face a difficult family matter during our time there they were gracious and thoughtful and I can't say enough good things about them. A wonderful stay at spectacular place with absolutely stellar hosts. 5 stars just isn't enough!

Beautiful inside and out. The landscaping is excellent. Great location. Short walk to the beach. Easy freeway access. Plenty of room for our large group. Well designed for group conversations/meals and several areas for smaller or private conversations.

The Bluebird Retreat was a really unique place to stay in Romona. It really felt like a getaway as it’s located in a really tucked away area so you don’t have to worry about neighbors or the sounds of traffic. It was truly just peace and quiet. Place was stocked up with everything we needed to bring some groceries and cook dinner. Everything was clean and spotless. The hose Lara was always responsive. Best part was waking up to all the sunshine and critters hanging around the place, squirrels and so many kinds of birds ( if you’re a birder you’ll really appreciate this place) plus the spectacular view of lake Sutherland 👌🏼 overall this place is one of a kind, if you ever find the need to be in Ramona, don’t hesitate to book ✅

The spot was great for relaxing and refreshing! Lovely yard with great foliage. We had fun identifying all of the plants while relaxing on the many porches/sitting areas! We ended up spending more time there than out exploring the area because it was so comfortable. We enjoyed the sauna, hot tub and cold plunge - thank you for a great stay!

Wow! Reserve this hidden gem now. This "elegant beach house" is beautifully decorated in contemporary chill--with all the amenities to sleep in and stay home or go out all day and come home and relax. Our family of 8 had plenty of room to gather for a movie, play board games, or retreat to our own space. We could go outside and play cornhole--or split time between the hot tub and the firepit in the beautifully landscaped backyard--then eventually fall asleep in the super comfortable beds. We hated to leave the place. Spotless bathrooms--and all throughout the space. The kitchen was pristine, and well-equipped (extra coffee! ;-) to cook our own feast or order out--and room for our 8 to sit at the same table, inside or out. 15 minutes to the beaches--Oceanside/Carlsbad--and you can bring the provided chairs, umbrella, etc. Instantly responsive hosts: "attentive but not intrusive"--like good friends we'd just met--the BEST! Kicking off our summer with our three kids in this quiet and relaxing atmosphere was better than we could have imagined. Cannot express how magical our family vacation was at Sprawling Private Estate. Both our girls are studying away from home, and all we wanted was a quiet private oasis while they were with us. The pool area is completely private; this was important to us. The spaciousness of the house, stunning view, safe pool area, beautiful (and delicious) orchard made this a dreamy oasis-a majestic scene out of a story book. Many amenities like cribs, towels, fun swimming accessories, kitchen supplies, appliances, even a coffee bean grinder (which we use daily) were all things that made our stay pleasurable. The host, Mark, was very responsive. He was swift, kind, and helpful. My family and I made precious memories; thank you for making this unforgettable

Our stay was good. There was plenty of space and kid friendly spaces. Janine was very responsive even on the weekend which I appreciated when we had some hiccups. This is a great house for multi- family vacations. Far enough away from the city to be peaceful but an easy driving distance from attractions like seaworld and the zoo.

This house was sensational. The owner’s thought of every thing to make you feel at home. The property was beautiful and peaceful. I would recommend the owners allowing more company over due to the layout it supports a nice family gathering space. Just make it clear that damages will be placed if anything should happen. Shame we could t use to e terrain more than 12.

Thank you so much to Jennifer and her family for our stay! We came out to Ramona to go to our family reunion. It was the perfect location for us because our family was about 10mins or less away from the farm. Very family friendly spot. My two little ones LOVED the farm. I think I might have to get a goat because my daughter was and still is obsessed with piper. We did a farm tour and it was so beautiful seeing the animals up close. Jennifer was super responsive and our stay was just overall amazing. The basket of goodies were very much appreciated too!! The house was clean and the beds were so comfy. Waking up early and watching the sun rise, listening to the birds and the fog was my personal favorite as we don’t get fog out in Vegas. 10/10 recommend this air bnb. It’s convenient, peaceful and the perfect getaway from the city too. Thank you to Sweet Heart Farms! You are forever in our hearts and this is a trip we won’t forget!

Can't recommend Danny's place enough! The place is small but designed very thoughtfully so that you've got plenty of counterspace and room for storage. Other highlights would be that the bathroom/shower is unexpectedly spacious and the bed and pillows were very comfortable. Also, an underrated pro for Airbnb in my opinion: everything (from check-in to how to open up/arrange the murphy bed, etc) was very clearly described in the app or in a binder within the Airbnb...meaning, there was no extra back-and-forth with Danny because everything was so smooth and straightforward! 10/10.

This home was absolutely beautiful with stunning views and a peaceful, private atmosphere. It was the perfect space for our getaway — clean, thoughtfully designed, and full of unique features. We loved all the amenities provided, including a speaker, fun games, a gym area, and a fully stocked kitchen with all the cooking essentials. What really made our stay even better was the host. He greeted us with a personal tour, showing us how everything worked and making sure we felt right at home. He also shared a super helpful PDF guide full of local food spots, things to do, and important info about the space. He was always quick to respond and truly went above and beyond as a host. This spot is great for so many types of trips — whether you’re celebrating something special, planning a family vacation, or just looking for a quiet escape. We can’t recommend this place enough and would definitely book again!

Came here for a family wedding and this place caught my eye mainly for the proximity, capacity, and pet accommodation. Residence Inn was our next option since all the guests were staying there and as a matter of fact, we spent much of our time there but having two bathrooms was important to us. We did have some issues but the host, Sonya, was very responsive and did her best to make things right. The house has pretty much everything that you might need so it’s perfect for light travelers. (Not us because we usually bring everything that we need with us :)). We even picked up a case of water before checking in but we were pleasantly surprised to find purified water bottles in the fridge and bu each bed, courtesy of the hosts. The house was clean and spacious. I wish we had more time to enjoy the space but we were mostly in and out of the house. Nonetheless, it was a good place and well worth the money.

This place is really a hidden gem! Everything was clean and spotless upon our arrival. Pool was amazing, with all the pool toys and yard games available for us to use. Accommodations with infants playpen, high chair and lay around mat made out stay with our babh even more memorable! Host was amazing and responsive. Close enough to downtown Escondido and all the amazing shops, restaurant, downtown activities. Shopping access is very close and close to the highways to enjoy everything around the surrounding city as well. Peaceful and quite in the nighttime. We can’t wait to make the trip back!

His home was everything we needed and more. Each room was beautifully designed for comfort and functionality, looked aesthetically modern but didn't compromise comfort. It had extras that other BnBs did not have (like laundry baskets, storage shelving and hangers, fragrance oils and extra towels / bath products. It was CLEAN, which is hard to find in a BnB, we felt comfortable because of this. Each room was also equal in size and design; of course the master / primary was a dream. We were only at the house to rest and not for leisure or relaxation but we got a great nights' rest each day. Home was large, plenty of spots to gather. Views were beautiful, driveway was amazingly large and streets were private, but welcomingly safe. Easy access to main freeway. We'd stay there again in a heartbeat, appreciative of Francisco and Team's prep to make this home available. The website and level of detail for information was impressive.

We are local to the area but had to relocate due to ongoing construction in our home. This place had everything that we needed to be comfortable for our longer-term stay. It was spacious and had all the amenities. Everything was in working order, the house and property were well maintained, and there were plenty of extras (towels, blankets, paper products). Hang, the host, was super responsive. It was so nice being able to have our dog with us, too! Would absolutely book this property again.

Leah’s place was gorgeous! I was very grateful for her accommodating us with an early check in since I have my 1 year old with us visiting 4 hours away from Fort Irwin, CA. I love how the place was very kids friendly, and super spacious. It was very easy to find and the area it was on was secluded and peaceful. We’ll definitely be booking with her again!
