Cabin vacation rentals in Escondido

It was a cute, quaint little getaway spot. Loved feeding the goats, chickens and alpacas. Our little maltipoo loved to just walk around the place and run up and down the little pathway. Will definitely come back.

Lydia was a very responsive host and was really easy to communicate with. We were a little skeptical because we knew we would be staying on the property where she lived with her family and were worried about privacy but the cabin is very private and although we naturally bumped into Lydia and her husband a few times, they did not spend any time out their back yard (where the cabin is located) for the duration of our stay so we had the place and the yard pretty much to ourselves which was great. We didn't realize how far away we would be from shops and restaurants. It is about a 20 minute walk to the nearby town so we did spend a lot of money on ubers but that was our own fault for not doing our research beforehand. Overall Lydias place is very clean and had everything we needed for our stay, she even had some stuff in the fridge and cleaning products which was really convenient. Absolutely beautiful property with lots of amenities. Very peaceful and clean. I was expecting it to be great, but It was even better than I expected. I will absolutely want to book here again. Stacey was an awesome host leaving coffee for the Keurig, snacks and the home was beautiful and cozy. My 11 year old had a blast playing basketball on the tennis court then we would finish the night in the beautiful pool and spa. I’m so happy I found Luna Blue and it has easily become my favorite hidden gem.

This place is exactly what you see. You have all the privacy you need, but you're not too far away from the market. Finding the place, getting inside and the amount of things that you can do at the home, makes it worth the stay. The house was spotless, and everything in the house works. No surprises.

We had a lovely weekend stay! Rowena is a fantastic host. She was warm, responsive, and incredibly helpful. She made our arrival smooth and our experience even more special by answering all our questions promptly, especially when we weren’t able to reach RedAwning directly. Her thoughtful touches, like leaving wine for us, really made a difference! The cabin itself is charming and full of personality. We enjoyed nights around the fire pit under the stars and peaceful mornings birdwatching from the porch. The neighborhood cat even hung out with us! Inside, we loved the quirky features, from the stone basement to the attic bedroom, and we had fun with the board games and projector setup. One thing to keep in mind is the stairs are uneven inside and outside the cabin, which could be tricky for guests who prefer more stable footing. Thanks again for a comfortable, memorable stay!

Peaceful and pleasant, ample room for visiting inside or on the deck, or screened patio. Well stocked kitchen with supplies compared to most Airbnbs. Also, you can tell Nicole and Mike stay on top of things as the unit has an up to date smoke and CO monitor with addition clear instructions for all heaters, fans, and general equipment at the house

All-in-all, this is a cabin that is private and serene, particularly mid-week and off-peak season. The view was to die for, and the cabin had all of the amenities you'd expect of a high-end getaway.

This cozy cabin is absolutely a great value! The surroundings are beautiful, and the cabin itself is clean and well-kept. Spending the holidays here, gathered around the fire pit and chatting with friends, has truly become one of my most cherished memories. That said, the road leading to the farm can be a bit rough. A high-clearance SUV is recommended—we drove a sedan and ended up scraping the underside of the car a few times. Despite that, the overall experience was wonderful. We hiked a nearby trail all the way to the top of a mountain, where we could see both San Diego and Mexico. Although the fog was heavy and we couldn’t see the ocean, the view was still impressive. All in all, I highly recommend this cabin. It’s definitely one of the best places to escape for a relaxing holiday!

The on site manager was just a call away and was very helpful! The area had friendly people, we were able to enjoy a peaceful stay. I’ve stayed at a smaller place which was more expensive and didn’t have as many amenities included so this stay was definitely worth the price ! Great view of the stars while we roasted s’mores, over all a perfect weekend getaway trip!! <3

The perfect getaway, gorgeous view of the lake and easy trials to walk and enjoy the scenery

This is a place you can’t skip out on. We were speechless from the very beginning of the view and how great the trip was going to be. There are plenty of things to do if you bring pets. We recommend the fire road near Doane pond which is a quick 5-10 min drive from the cabin. Some areas are restricted from bringing pets as to not disturb wildlife. The place overall was perfect and we felt right at home. It was so quiet and peaceful I highly recommend this place. I will definitely come back.

We had an amazing stay at the property! From the moment we arrived, Ed made us feel so welcome. He gave us a fantastic ATV tour of the property and vineyard, and even treated us to a delicious bread and olive oil tasting. The location is very private, which makes it the perfect escape from the hustle and bustle of city life. The vineyard, filled with various fruits, is absolutely beautiful. The sight of geese and peacocks roaming the grounds added to the charm. The kitchen was well-stocked with basic pots, pans, and plenty of spices, making cooking easy. The peaceful atmosphere was enhanced by the sounds of insects at night, which was a soothing change for us. Ed truly went above and beyond, offering rides to and from our cars when needed and providing great recommendations for local wineries. There are plenty of wineries and hot springs nearby in Murrieta and Temecula. If you're looking to reconnect with nature and enjoy some peace and quiet, this is the perfect spot!

Stacy’s listing was perfect, private and personal. It provided us with everything we needed and the views and peace was everything. We plan to return.

This Cabin was exactly what I needed to get away from the city and to relax in nature. Everything I could think of needing was provided. Showering outside was a new amazing experience I won’t forget. The water was as hot as I wanted and the pressure was high. I sat outside most of the time looking out of the vast mountain landscape. The sunset and sunrise was beautiful and all I heard were birds chirping in the morning. I love the hammock inside the cabin! I almost slept in that. Recommending this to all of my local and far away friends. Will definitely be back to check out the other cabins as well. Such a special place. I left feeling rejuvenated, more connected to nature and at peace. This place gives space to slow down and just be present. This place was so nice! Ed checks you in and drives you to your cabin on an ATV! He is extremely easy to get in touch with and very professional. He is also a wealth of information and answered all the questions we had about the property. It’s quite the experience driving through the vineyards. We didn’t get to stay long but will definitely be booking more time on a future stay. Thanks again for hosting!
