Dine Al Fresco at a Contemporary Apartment in Balham

The property is light and spacious and the reception looking out into the private garden offers a tranquil feeling. I have created a 'London Theme' throughout the property. A good sized Master Bedroom with large King Size Bed, large wardrobe and chest of drawers and en-suite wet room (Shower, Toilet, Sink). Bedroom 2 has a double bed, large wardrobe and chest of drawers. Both bedrooms have a wall mounted television. The main bathroom has a bath with shower over, sink and toilet. The open plan kitchen and reception is ideal to both relax and socialise. Modern but homely, large kitchen bar counter with bar stools. A large comfortable sofa and a feature ‘spitfire’ chair. Separate bistro dining table and chairs. A large wall mounted television with sound bar. Full height glass sliding doors open directly out into the fabulous garden. The garden has a bistro table and chairs and a 3 Meter king built in seating bench (with made to measure cushions for comfort). There is also a built in braai / bbq and a decked area. Stunning lighting has also been installed to offer an ambient garden experience. We provide super fast unlimted fibre broadband for your added enjoyment and convenience. My Airbnb is a ‘permanent airbnb’. The property is for the exclusive use of guests. I live just a few minutes away from the property so am generally always available to assist where necessary, answer any questions or recommendations for local bars and restaurants. If you require any printing out of documents or business services, I also have an office close by and pleased to assist. Balham is a wonderful small London suburb with a village feel, with many fabulous independent shops, cafes, bars, and restaurants and pleasant nightlife scene including bars, old-school pubs, and the Banana Cabaret comedy club. There are many parks just a short walk away, including Tooting Bec, Wandsworth and Clapham Commons for green open spaces and picnics. Great rapid transport links into Central London via Tube or Train as Balham Station is just a short 5 min walk away. Just a 5 minute walk from Balham Station which is on the Northern Line Underground and on the National Rail over-ground both offering easy quick access into the City and West End. It’s just 12 minutes on the National Rail From Balham to Victoria and then a short walk to Buckingham Palace. On the tube it’s Just 20 minutes to the South Bank (Waterloo/Embankment) and a couple more minutes to Leicester Square. For the kids wanting the Harry Potter Studio Tour there is a train from Balham once an hour to Watford Junction where you catch the short 10 minute bus ride to the Warner Bros. Studio! Parking is available on the road outside the property and I offer complimentary parking permits on request. WATER I’m often asked about the water. Water from the taps is perfectly safe to drink. USB In every room we have plugs with a USB port for easy charging of devices along with a couple of international plug adapters GENERAL My aim is for all my guests to have a relaxing and wonderful stay at my Airbnb. For your convenience, all cleaning products are provided for you, this includes washing up liquid, cleaning tabs for the dishwasher, washing powder and fabric softener, toilet rolls, shower gel in bathrooms, liquid soaps and hair conditioner. It's remarkably light and airy inside, thanks to white paneling and skylights. Help yourself to a nice glass of bubbles and take in the spectacular close up views of Lancaster Castle from the window seat, whilst you plan your days ahead. Draw a hot bath in a copper tub big enough for 2 (with Castle View's very own homemade lavender bubble bath) before climbing in to the exceptionally comfortable 'secret bedroom'. Quaint on the outside. Quirky on the inside. Inside Castle View, the secret bedroom and bathroom are a real surprise and simply luxurious! Everything is kitted out with your complete comfort in mind. A giant copper bath for 2 people, a king size natural mattress with 400 thread count Egyptian cotton bed linen, Smeg fridge/freezer and a giant 'Loaf' sofa to sink into in front of the wood burner. The flat screen TV can be positioned to watch from the living room, 'secret' bedroom or bathroom. Insulation and remote control blackout blinds throughout the property ensure a peaceful nights sleep. The property is detached from our home and has it's own parking space. We're around in person or by text to help in any way that we can - although we completely understand that many guests will want to keep themselves to themselves. :) Just a minutes walk from Lancaster Castle, 3 minutes walk from Lancaster train station and a 4 minute, breath taking walk to the shops, cafes, bars and restaurants, yet situated in a peaceful walled oasis in the heart of historic Lancaster Castle Conservation area. Whether you want a romantic retreat or a comfortable base to explore the North West - the Lake District, Yorkshire Dales & Manchester Airport are all about an hour away. Parking space a few strides from the cottage. Getting around could not be easier! The property has it's own parking space. The train station really is 2 minutes walk away from the property gates. Simply wheel your case straight up from the platform. No need for a taxi! By train, Manchester airport is a direct 1 hour 15 train journey away. Oxenholme (The Lake District) 12 mins. Delightful seaside towns such as Silverdale and Arnside 15/20 mins away. Yorkshire Dales 30 minutes. Morecambe 10 minutes. There are frequent direct trains to Edinburgh and London that take just under 2.5 hours. There are cycle tracks on our doorstep to picturesque riverside locations and seaside villages and towns. We are less than 10 minutes walk away to the bus station. Children aged 8 years and upwards are welcome. Feel free to bring your own dry logs and kindling - or buy a basket from us for £10. This year we are giving 10% of our turnover to LDHAS (Lancaster & District Homeless Action Service). So your stay at Castle View will help to support the less fortunate in our community.

Get back in touch with nature at this luxury cabin nestled in a quiet hamlet. Find tranquility on the terrace surrounded by breathtaking views, or lounge amid thoughtful decor and chic modern finishes in the exposed oak beam interior. Blue Vale is brand new as of June 2018! We helped to design this green oak framed building and have been involved in the whole process of building it, doing much of it ourselves. For our colour scheme we have used different shades of blue throughout, playing on the name of Blue Vale. The furnishing and finishing touches are of a high standard to help promote a comfortable and luxurious finish. There is an eclectic style combining modern country with industrial finishes. Luxury, high thread cotton bedding and towels, large flat screen smart tv's and luxury Neals Yard toiletries help to give the top-end finishing touches we would appreciate if we stayed away from home. Blue Vale is completely self contained but sits in the grounds of our family home. The decked outdoor living space is screened by trellis on the garden side with fields on the other. You would be very welcome to walk around our garden. We can be as interactive as you wish. With living in the same grounds we are close at hand if needed. We will welcome you when you arrive but will be respectful of your privacy. The glorious Blackmore Vale landscape is a tapestry of farmed green fields with a sprinkling of English villages, of which Sandley is one. Walk out (or cycle, using our available bikes) onto country lanes and venture along a web of footpaths to discover this unspoilt part of Dorset. Visit Stourhead, stroll around the ancient towns of Sherborne or Shaftesbury or discover the beautiful Jurassic coast. Visit Longleat safari park, Haynes Motor Museum, Monkey world & Yeovilton Air Museum. Sandley is a quiet hamlet with the neighbouring village of Buckhorn Weston just a mile away. The Stapleton Arms pub can be found here. We are 10 minutes away from the towns of Gillingham and Wincanton where various supermarkets, shops and services are. There is a train station in Gillingham which has a direct route to London in less than 2 hours. The larger cities of Bath and Salisbury are less than an hours drive and it takes around an hour to drive to the beautiful Jurassic coastline. The historic towns of Shaftesbury and Sherborne are only 15 and 20 minutes away respectively. The quiet rural roads and bridleways of the Blackmore Vale are excellent for cycling and walking. Blue Vale is in the grounds of our family home. There is a one- bedroomed B&B facility on the ground floor of our home.

Reimagined 1715 Beachfront Cottage with Terrace

Escape to the country in this fisherman's cottage right on the beach. The home has been tastefully redecorated, featuring rustic wood flooring and accents, a cosy fireplace, beamed ceilings, light touches of colour, and panoramic views. The building is a 1715 fisherman's cottage, so expect low ceilings and small windows looking onto the Main St. At the back, the house has been extended, so the windows are large, looking onto our deck with the sea-wall at the end of the garden. There's a low wall between ours and the neighbours' houses. The kitchen is large and equipped for living, not just holidaying. So if you have gastronomic ambitions, go wild: it's a pleasure to cook and eat in as you watch the light change over the sand-dunes. The living-room is low-beamed, so watch your head. There's a gas fire for cosiness without hassle, 2 armchairs and a big sofa, with loads of cushions on all of them. The TV is a 46-inch SmartTV, so with the fibre internet (40 Mb/s) you can stream Netflix, iPlayer, etc. Upstairs, the twin room faces over the main street. The beds have memory-foam mattresses, velvet headboards and their own reading lamps. There's a big chest of drawers for your clothes. The double room has a built-in wardrobe, kingsize bed with antique wood-panelled headboard and memory-foam mattress. It also has a huge bay window looking out to sea. There's a small en-suite with toilet and shower. We've just refurbished the family bathroom, so it's immaculate with rainfall shower, bath and underfloor heating. You'll have the place to yourself. Enjoy it. Use the AirBnB app to contact me. My phone number is in the house for emergencies. The home is located on a tidal estuary in the Lake District National Park. It is a great area for bird watching and walking. The property is in Ravenglass with its steam railway and Roman ruins. There are pubs, a supermarket, tea rooms, and much more nearby. Parking: we have space for one car at the front of our house. If you bring a second car, there is free parking at the station, which is a 2-minute walk. Trains: Ravenglass is well-known for its trains, with 2 stations. As well as being on the coastal line that runs from Carlisle round to Lancaster, it is home to the Ravenglass and Eskdale Railway. This is a narrow-gauge line that runs 11km (7 miles) up Eskdale through splendid scenery. Beautiful steam and diesel engines run, and it's perfect for letting everyone in your group enjoy an end-of-walk pint or three.

The lively waterfront of Brighton, the beach, the boardwalk, and an array of restaurants and shops are just steps away. Most parts of the city are easily readable by foot from the flat. If you're driving, there is on-street paid parking nearby. Alternatively, there's loads of great transport options nearby to get around and see the city including city bikes and buses.
