Our stay lived up to high expectations. Ainslie went over and above with decorations for my boyfriend’s birthday; welcome notes; homemade cake; fizz and ice in the fridge. She was warm and welcoming, and we felt completely relaxed. So grateful for such a lovely stay in a beautiful area. We will definitely be back! Thank you Ainslie 🥰🤩🥳

Dog friendly, Country cottage with Hot tub

BettyRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
We absolutely loved staying at the cottage. This was our third place during our Scotland trip and I am so glad we booked it. It allowed us to explore more nature scenes across Scotland and simply have a safe and comfortable home after exploring all day. If we are ever in Scotland again, we will certainly book again.

Pretty 3 bedroom cottage set in lovely gardens

AngelaRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
Lovely property with everything you need for a stay. The grounds are lovely. The location is good as a hub and plenty of villages to visit and St Andrews is very close. Tara was quick to respond to any queries. I travelled with 2 teenagers and they were happy with WiFi speed. Also my dog loved the gardens. My husband brought back fish and chips from anstruther for dinner in less than 10 minutes. I would return to this accommodation.

A tranquil and peaceful stay in this spacious and well equipped cottage. We were well looked after by Jenny and co. and felt totally relaxed. Enjoyed our interactions with farm life, which included birthing a lamb, petting the donkies and seeing the newborn kittens, it made our stay very special. The house is well located for trips into Edinburgh and Glasgow, or to enjoy nearby countryside. You won't regret it!

Highfield Cottage

CharlotteRating, 5 stars1 month ago
We had an excellent time staying in Jillian and Hugh's lovely cottage. My partner and I had a few days' holiday before I stayed for a week's work in Edinburgh, and it was a wonderful place both to relax and to work - there was plenty of space to work at the dining table, a comfortable living room space, and a good amount of storage space in the kitchen, bedroom, and bathroom. The kitchen had all the utensils and crockery we needed to cook (apart from a cheese grater, which Jillian kindly provided immediately when I asked!), the little garden was an excellent place to sit in the dusk and enjoy a game of Scrabble and the view across to the Firth of Forth, and the bed was comfortable for a good night's sleep. While Jillian and Hugh were often out working in the wider garden, they were very respectful of our privacy and we didn't feel overlooked. The train to Edinburgh is a 5 minute walk away - very convenient. We had a delightful time, and hope to stay again next time we visit Edinburgh.

This is a quaint and quirky cottage on a walking/cycling path perfect for two people. It is set in a park off the main streets. It was walkable to the Royal Mile and there are grocery stores, cafes and restaurants near by- also near the university campus. Sue and Grant replied quickly to any questions or issues.

Fordel Cottage - 12 miles from Edinburgh centre

AnthonyRating, 5 stars10 months ago
The little gift on arrival, the ease of instructions provided in the welcome pack and speed of response to any questions we had, all helped to ensure we had a very enjoyable visit. Situated in a remote, peaceful location but only a 10 min drive to a free car park, then a 20 min train ride to Edinburgh. We spent a very enjoyable week, where we visited the hustle and bustle of the Edinburgh fringe and tattoo, while still having the option to rest and relax in this remote cottage. I would fully recommend a stay here.

I would definitely stay here again. The description and listing is accurate. We loved the town, the location and the beautiful garden setting by the beach. The only thing that was a challenge was getting to a decent grocery store. We did try delivery but it took 2 days. We booked this place for 20 days so we really got to know this wonderful town. Jane was great.

Stylish country cottage outside Edinburgh

SusannaRating, 5 stars1 day ago
Walstone Bothy was perfect for our needs as 4 adults and a toddler. It was clean, quiet, very comfortable, well equipped and the courtyard seating area was very pleasant. We stayed in unusually hot weather (27 degrees) so the shade in the courtyard was welcome. Downstairs was beautifully cool though the upstairs bedrooms certainly needed the fans provided. John was friendly and helpful recommending walking routes. We look forward to coming back.

Harbour Hill Cottage

AlisonRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
What a beautiful spot! Very quiet. We all slept very well! Wish we could have stayed longer to appreciate the beautiful surroundings. It is a little remote so if you don’t have a car (which we didn’t) may end up being a little expensive going in and out of Edinburgh, but we always got an Uber when we wanted one. Perfect for walkers and cyclists. Wish we had time to explore the area more. We may be back! Thanks, Kerry!

The Croft - Sleeps 3 | Cosy Edinburgh Escape

BarbRating, 5 stars1 week ago
From check-in to check-out, Johanna's communication was quick and helpful. The house was spacious, spotless, peaceful and beautiful. It offered complete privacy even though it adjoins the main house. We arrived to find milk, eggs, bread and treats in the kitchen, which I greatly appreciated. The attention to detail, from the binder full of brochures and recommendations to the fresh flowers to even the first aid kit, the attention to detail was thoughtful and professional. The house overlooks farmland which feels remote and private but is only a short drive to the Ingliston Park and Ride that takes you to city centre. We attended Hidden Door, which took place just 3 miles down the road, so it was an especially convenient location for us. Pulling out of the driveway was a little dicey for me but I managed. Streaming and wifi were flawless and the sunroom and patio were inviting. I look forward to staying here again when I return to Scotland. Thanks for being such a gracious host, Johanna

Lovely place to stay. Absolutely loved the view from the conservatory and the garden was gorgeous. The kitchen is clearly a cooks kitchen - very well equipped! Location is great. Felt like we were in the middle of nowhere but we were only 10-15 minutes from anything we needed. About 12 minutes from Eskbank Station and then a 20 minute train ride from Waverley.
