Vacation rentals with a fireplace in East Riding of Yorkshire

We had a wonderful time at Holly House. Simon was awesome and extremely helpful. The house was very homely with fresh flowers on the table and super comfortable bed. Walk to shop was handy. Highly Recommend.

Once I worked out the house numbers, it was easy to find. The house is well appointed and equipped, and spotlessly clean. Pleasant environment: very quiet, with no disturbing noise from the railway behind nor from the Minster bells.

Lovely cute little barn! Had everything we needed. The village is lovely - quiet and quaint. We went for the birds at Alkborough flats and they didn’t disappoint! Our dogs enjoyed it and were very settled. Only negative would be that we found the bed very uncomfortable but appreciate that’s personal preference. Great value for money!

Perfect little cozy cottage. Had everything we needed for a weekend getaway. Sea view and a stones throw away from a beautiful walk along the promenade and 2 bars and restaurants, both relaxing with yummy food and refreshing drinks. Hope to return again soon.

We loved the house and the location. The garden was a pleasure to sit in. You could walk nearby and hear the birds, especially by the river. The house was creatively decorated and welcoming, and the bedrooms were extremely comfortable. The shower was good. It is near to Beverley, which is a lovely town with Geoegian architecture and a lot of independent shops - I loved the Cats charity shop! We went to a local pub which was recommended and excellent. The owner was passing and very friendly and helpful. We came for the Early Music Festival which was excellent. We had a most enjoyable stay.

We just stayed here over the Early May bank holiday, the house was in a beautiful location with a canal right next to it. The scenery was amazing and a lovely quiet area, the home was stunning and we felt right at home. We brought the dog with us, and he loved the stay and the surrounding area it's great for walks! Would definitely come here again. Thankyou for your hospitality 😊 we had a lovely time!

Whether we are there as a couple, or it is one man and his whippet :-) , Nicola's place always delivers. The dog friendly garden is a dream, walks close by and a simply beautiful part of the world. Nicola is always friendly and a great host. We are regulars and hope to continue to be! Thanks for another great stay. I had to pick Pinter (whippet) up to put him in the car as he didn't want to leave!

Beautiful, comfortable private home situated in an ideal location. The home was lovely and clean and had everything you needed for a short stay away including comfy beds. Gill is an excellent host and I highly recommend her property. We will definitely be visiting again.

What a find this apartment was! Beautifully furnished, light, bright and airy. Such a quiet space but within a very short walk to all amenities. Unfortunately only had a night here wish we could have stayed longer. Gary was fantastic with communication. I have no hesitation in recommending and will certainly be booking again when in the area. Beautiful apartment in an ideal location. Situated within a few minutes walk of everything you’d want to do in York. The apartment itself is lovely and quirky and had all the amenities you’d want (tea, milk, hairdryer, safety pins etc.) Only slight downside was you can hear the street outside very clearly from the bedroom, but didn’t take away from the experience and would definitely stay here again.

Great communication from the hosts prior to arriving, did not need to contact during our stay. The apartment is in a great location and easily walkable into the centre within minutes. Very well equipped kitchen , with many utensils, glasses, plates etc. Lovely living room with a comfy sofa and added bonus of Apple TV, plus a DVD player with a selection found in the bedroom. Great double bedroom, with blackout blind, wardrobe and drawers. All in all we had a fabulous 2 night stay in an amazing private apartment! Thanks for our stay 😄

Great location for exploring York by foot, and very comfortable accommodations. And Nicky was helpful and responsive.

Just had a wonderful stay at this property, which is located just a couple of minutes walk from all the shops, restaurants and bars. The check-in details were on point and we easily found and accessed the property with no issues. Once inside the photos were a true representation of the flat. The location as above was second to none, although next to a fairly busy road (masked by bushes), the glazing did a great job and we could not hear anything, it was also nice to look out over the town walls. We only had 1 issue regarding cleaning and that was the cooker hood, which did not look like it had been cleaned for months, leading to a strong cooking smell all over the flat. So ended up cleaning it myself and contacting Pass the Keys who dropped off additional dishwasher tablets (even though on instructions it stated not to use the dishwasher). All in all a great property, easily walkable to all the main attractions, with parking right outside the door.

We had a fantastic stay! The house was beautiful, lots of space for the kids. The house is in a great location almost in the center of the town, close to the beach. The house was extremely well taken care of. The beds were comfortable too. We will definitely be back to stay.

Perfect location! Easy walking distance to everything including The Shambles & so many restaurants and great shops. Flat was comfortable size with many amenities provided. Instructions during check in were very helpful and easy to understand. Would not recommend for those with severe mobility issues. The apartment is up 3 flights of stairs. The bedrooms have a slight slope to them. This was not an issue for us but if you have mobility issues this may not be the place for you. I recommend this to those looking for a flat close to everything. Also some nights were more livelier than others. Saturday night had lots of street noise from those enjoying night life. If you don’t plan to join in on the fun during that time, I recommend ear plugs if you are turning in early and sensitive to outside noise. Sunday night was very quiet and no ear plugs needed. None of these things were an issue for us but could be for others. Bathroom was on the small side but suited our needs.
