Munro's - A large house with an amazing view!

LindaRating, 5 stars75 months ago
Andy’s house is fantastic for a celebration weekend. Twelve of us stayed there comfortably and there is so much public space that it’s easy to do different things yet assemble for meals. The view from the conservatory and garden is stunning. We had one person in a wheelchair and the house worked well for him too. Andy and Joan were welcoming and helpful.

Amazing homely cottage in a nice private location. This was our last night of rest post-NC500. A shame we only stayed a night, could easily have done a few more and really explored the amenities in the village. Nonetheless a fantastic stay, very comfortable and friendly hosts.

Large house Drymen Village with Health club access

DonnaRating, 5 stars1 week ago
We loved the house and Drymen. The added bonus of the use of the pool, sauna and jacuzzi was brilliant. The house was comfortable and homely. Drymen was a lovely little village with lovely pubs, cafes and walks. Along the road there was a beautiful view out over Loch Lomond. I would really recommend. Jim was super helpful and let us in a little bit early, thank you so much.

Gourock Home

JodieRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
The park itself is a 1 way system and the caravan was quite high up. However we stopped to speak to groundsmen on site who straight away said follow me I’ll take you to the caravan. All staff were lovely. The caravan was as described. Very homely and modern. The outdoor space is amazing with lovely rattan furniture and hot tub. We used the hot tub everyday and it’s big enough for 6 people. The weather unfortunately wasn’t on our side all week so we didn’t dine outside. However I would definitely return. We had a slight issue with heating the first night. Lisa was back and forth messaging and said she would contact staff at reception to rectify the next day. However this was sorted over text in the end. An amazing stay, great views across the water. It was beautiful x

Waterfront House, stunning location with Hot Tub

JoeRating, 5 stars5 months ago
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here, Douglas is an attentive host who was available when needed. The bungalow was equipped with everything we needed for cooking and resting which was much appreciated as our stay was over Christmas! Douglas very kindly gifted some wine and chocolates and he was there for our arrival to show us around the house, giving some useful information on nearby shops, places to eat and things to do. We were unfortunate with the weather; however, the bungalow was very cosy and thoughtfully decorated for Christmas and time spent inside looking out at the fabulous views made up for it!

Cosy modern cottage, superb sea and mountain views

PaulRating, 5 stars4 weeks ago
Our first visit to Skye and a week made all the better by the property and location. Dorothy was on hand when needed and the property had everything we needed, was really well equipped and had a place for everything. It's at the quieter end of the island, which we liked, but does mean a few more miles to see some of the well known sites. Not an issue, as so many things to see and do on the way north and the scenery never got old. The only small issue for us, was the internet, although it is there, if you need to work while away, or check in with friends/relatives, any video meetings won't work, even some internet browsing, was very slow. Dorothy kindly offered her home and internet connection to use for a client meeting we had, but we re-arranged the meeting, as did not wish to impose on her kind hospitality. Property is 6 miles down a single lane road with passing places that is no issue, as long as you drive safely and navigate the pot holes and sheep. 5 Stars overall.

Beautiful views on Kentra Bay

AllisonRating, 5 stars1 week ago
Christine’s place was perfect for a wonderful week. Immaculate and so welcoming. Allan even called us to let us know the place was ready early so we could enter and get settled in quicker. Everything we could wish for was available. We loved the fire pit with grill and enjoyed BBQs. The bedrooms were spacious, clean and comfortable beds. Spotless bathrooms and super soft towels. Thoroughly recommend walking to Singing Sands Beach, driving to Sanna Beach, Silver Sands of Morar and Traigh Beach. This is a fantastic place that was recommended by my neighbour, we are very thankful and will be back!

Cuilgown Old Post Office, relaxing conservatory

ACRating, 5 stars1 week ago
We had a wonderful time on the Isle of Mull—it was truly picturesque and beautifully pristine. Hazel’s flat was tastefully decorated, spotlessly clean, and felt both cosy and home-like. Every detail was thoughtfully considered, and it made our stay incredibly comfortable. Hazel herself was an absolute delight—so caring, warm, and communicative throughout. We genuinely felt welcomed and well looked after. We highly recommend this stay for anyone looking for a peaceful, memorable experience on Mull. Our only regret is that three days weren’t nearly long enough!

Fairytale Highland Lodge with Private Loch

PhilipRating, 5 stars1 week ago
A truly royal vacation 8 of us just enjoyed a great time in this magical place. I am wheelchair bound so it was great being on one level. The accessible shower was also great. The place is just like the pictures. Very beautiful. We were blessed with good weather a few days we were there and a number of our party braved the loch. It was an experience and quite cold but worth it. It’s very remote and you have to travel about 2 miles on a bumpy dirt track to get to the house, but it’s part of the appeal. The views are just awesome. From the house there are trails and you can hike up high hills. If not high enough Ben Nevis is a drive away and some of us I did the climb. Overall a memorable holiday and we would love to come again.

Cosy Highland Cottage with stunning Loch views

JohnRating, 5 stars1 week ago
Convenient location right on the A82. Beautiful view of the lake across the street and some cute horses and goats in the pasture behind the house. House interior is renovated and modern with all the amenities. Reasonably priced. Host responds quickly to messages. Central tourist location. In 3 days we toured Ben Nevis distillery and mountain gondola, scenic drive to Glenfinnan Harry Potter viaduct train and Mallaig for local seafood and finally drove to Loch Ness Centre museum and Jacobite lake cruise. Fabulous holiday.

Seabank House with hot tub

AndyRating, 5 stars7 months ago
Our stay was fantastic, especially given that we booked last minute after another place fell through. The host was incredibly responsive, making sure everything was ready for us. The real highlight was the breathtaking view overlooking the water, with mountains in the distance – truly picturesque! The house itself was spacious and ideal for our group, nestled in a private, peaceful spot that felt like a true retreat. The kids had a great time with the nearby beach just a few minutes’ walk away, and they loved exploring the vast open land surrounding the property. Another great part was the location – it’s about a 15 minute drive to Oban, a lovely town with plenty to do. It gave us the perfect balance of seclusion and easy access to town activities. Highly recommend this place for anyone looking to enjoy both tranquillity and the option of nearby excursions!

Seashell Cottage

SuzanneRating, 5 stars2 months ago
Such a beautiful cottage in a stunning area! We had everything we needed and Seashell Cottage is honestly one of the nicest and most comfortable places I've ever stayed in. Lovely garden too, where we were able to sit when the weather was nice. Some fantastic walks on the doorstep and you are so near the little boat service that goes to Easdale Island. You can walk all the way around the island in about 40mins, a few safe wild swimming spots if you're brave (we weren't...) Annabel was a marvellous host and there are lots of useful suggestions in the cottage of things to do and places to see, some of which we did do, including lunch at Pierhouse, quick trip to Lismore, Oban harbour for fresh seafood, Cruachan Mountain Resort for a bite to eat. You won't struggle for something to see or do, it's an area I will definitely revisit in the future. Thanks so much Annabel! 😊

Quiet family home by Loch Morar

HaydenRating, 5 stars1 week ago
The BnB was convenient for ourselves to explore the Isle of Skye and the Small Isles. The BnB felt very homely and quite cottage esk, there was many things included such as board games, ponchos, complimentary shortbread and it was also nice that Prime TV was also included, this was very much utilised! The only thing that lets the property down is Morar itself, don't get me wrong it's a very peaceful village, but neighbouring villages like Arisaig seemed to have much more going on whilst still being peaceful. If you are driving then it isn't too bad, but if you come in on the train, then you'd need a lot of planning around transportation. Obviously the BnB host cannot help this, so I cannot mark her down for this and we would still very much stay in this property again.

Stravaig House - Pet Friendly

ElaineRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
Kenny was a great host and his place was perfect for a family of 6 adults and 2 young children. Everywhere was beautifully clean and comfortable. Beds were extremely comfortable! There was a separate lounge and a dining room that we didn't even use as the space in the kitchen /longe/dining area was more than enough for all of us. He provided a fantastic welcome hamper. The kitchen was very well equipped, and had everything you needed for cooking. There weren't that many place to eat out nearby, so we cooked every night although needed to stock up on provisions before arriving and again in Fort William. The local store was closed for most of our stay. Amazing location and views up the lane and down to the loch. The kids loved the little beach at the bottom of the road. We loved exploring the beautiful area and some of us walked up Ben Nevis - although check the forecast. Weather very changeable! Unfortunately, the midges were prolific during our stay so be prepared!!!

The Cúil at Thistles on Skye

WilliamRating, 5 stars3 days ago
David was incredibly proactive with his communication prior to arrival and brilliant with the ease of getting in. Well off the beaten track and within an astounding setting with amazing views, this is the perfect stay for a getaway. My partner & I loved sitting watching the rain fall one night, and then sit looking out over the water the next with the sun shining. The finish of the property was of the highest quality, clearly complete by someone with a solid construction background (David). Nothing felt like some AirBnB's do with cheap finishes and plastic-y materials, everything was solid and the decor really adds to the character as it's clearly all locally made or custom. 100% would stay again if we were in this part of the world and would 110% recommend for anybody thinking of heading to Skye. Oh and he even was able to provide a Garmin charger which I forgot, thinking I'd have weeks with a dead watch!
