House vacation rentals in De Fryske Marren

We were there in June as a group of four – despite the rain and colder temperatures, we were able to enjoy our stay totally thanks to the sauna and the heated pool, which was our highlight! We were very warmly welcomed, the accommodation is really great – we can only recommend it and will definitely come back. The adjacent forest is great for walking and Groningen and Leeuwarden are each just under 30 minutes by car.

We had a very nice stay as a family in the very spacious house. The large living room was particularly nice, the kitchen offers everything you need. Jaap was very helpful, gave us tips and was very flexible with a late check-out. The area is wonderfully quiet and idyllic.

We enjoyed the time very much and did many small bike rides. The accommodation is beautiful, quiet and very idyllically located. However, we would not stay in the property again with 5 adults. The loft bed is more suitable for children and unfortunately we were not able to sleep so well, as there was no air coming up under the roof at night (despite the open window) and it became very warm and stuffy. With children, you can definitely recommend the accommodation! :)

Wonderful accommodation to relax and unwind. No neighbors or surroundings and vice versa. Despite that, the supermarkets are a 2-minute drive away so the location is very nice! Host is super helpful and can be reached immediately if anything comes up. We would definitely come back here!

We had a great time in this beautiful cottage in the countryside. The welcome was very warm, the cottage was clean and very characterful. We completely relaxed and the jacuzzi was great. We expected the pool to be open, but in the end we had a great time swimming in the Canada lake and with long walks. Highly recommended for anyone looking for beautiful nature and tranquility.

We had a fantastic 3-night stay, the house was very comfortable, spacious, well equipped and the surroundings were just amazing and quiet. Beds were very comfortable and everything felt clean. A great plus to have 2 toilets with a group of 8. Our kids enjoyed the place too and especially the space to run around the house and in the high grass. The lake was not even 1min away and one can access with a boat, swim from there (ladder) or just enjoy the sunset. Finally the village, with 2 restaurants, very tasty eel/fish seller and a a grocery store, was very cute and at a walking distance. Plenty to explore around!

We were personally greeted by our nice hostess Anke and we enjoyed our stay very much. The great large kitchen, the beautiful outdoor area and the many different rooms were perfect for our large group. The location is great, right on the canal and everything is within walking distance. Thank you very much, we will be happy to come back.

We are grateful for the two-day stay with Mark. He was very friendly and the accommodation exactly as described and perfect for our purpose, road bike tours from Sneek. Restaurants, bakeries and the city center are easily accessible on foot, yet the location is classified as quiet. Mark's note about the nearby parking garage was worth its weight in gold! My buddy and I will be back, that's for sure! Thanks Mark :)

We had a wonderful time with our large family in this beautiful house. We were able to use the large dining tables inside and on the terrace for cozy, shared meals, there is a great playroom for the children, a relaxed sitting area for a game night and a spacious kitchen. It's also great that each bedroom has its own bathroom. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Nice and rightly a cozy cottage with lush garden. Due to the weather, we were unable to enjoy the latter. The cottage is equipped with all practical things. We didn't have to worry about anything. Corine is very hospitable and likes to think along. For example, we could easily park our bikes in the shed.

Our stay at this place was just fantastic! The apartment was immaculately clean, stylishly decorated and offered all the amenities we could ask for. The location was ideal – quiet yet central. Particularly noteworthy is the host's hospitality. He/she was always available, helpful and gave us valuable tips for our stay. The communication was very quick and easy. Especially in summer, access to the water is great. We felt at home from the first moment and would come back anytime. This place is a real gem on Airbnb!

Had a great time. We had beautiful weather, but the hot tub was still nice, especially for the kids. Close to the water and a lot to do nearby for those looking for.

A very nice house in a very nice location / surroundings. Particularly noteworthy are the cozy living room and kitchen. Cooking is twice as much fun on a stove like this! Otherwise: house and location are very inviting, we felt well taken care of!

House has all the comforts. Nice house right on the water. This was beneficial for us because we had our own boat with us and could dock it directly in front of the house. In this way, we had a view of the water and our sloop from the house. The marina uses QR codes. If necessary, one could also call the harbor master. The place was clean and spacious.

A wonderfully cozy cottage within walking distance of the super nice village of Woudsend, where everything can be done. The house is cozy and equipped with all the comforts. Nice that the life jackets, scoops, etc. may also be used. We had a wonderful holiday.
