Shepherds hut vacation rentals in Darwen

The place was beautiful and as expected. Katherine was very helpful and responded quickly to my queries which made the experience much better. The only thing I would advise is that prepare to do walking or you can get a taxi. If you have a car or if you don't mind walking that wouldn't be a problem at all. We walked through the meadow and saw beautiful horses which was worth it. There is also a pub that is about 5-7 mins walk and it closes around 9:30 pm so it isn't bad.

Stayed here for 2 nights for the bank holiday weekend. The area was beautiful, the Lodge itself was modern and very clean. It made for a perfect get away with the private Hot Tub and cosy fireplace over looking the scenic view. Lodge was very private and secure. They provided firewood and blankets for the nights we were there and hosted a small shop for immediate conveniences such as drinks and snacks. Their information booklet had detailed lists of local shops, restaurants and nearby walks which was amazing, it saved us a lot of effort in a new area trying to find things to explore. We didn't get chance to check out the farm they had with several animals but were lucky enough to have the farm house cats come visit us each morning which we loved!

Loved staying here for a second year in a row. The hideaway hut is tranquil and the perfect break from a busy life. Love nothing more than relaxing in the hot tub and listening to nature surrounding us. Thanks again for another perfect weekend away!

Gorgeous hut tucked away in the beautiful countryside, surround by rolling hills and farmlife. I would highly recommend Rosalind's beautiful space if you want a true experience of the english countryside and a bit of peace and quiet. The hut looks exactly like the photos, great built in kitchen and all the amenities you can need. If you are an animal lover like myself definitely was a plus to be surrounded by their beautiful dogs and farm animals ! Great private space but are still connected to the farm if you need support with anything which was comforting. Rosalind was lovely and responsive. Will come back again :)

Celebrated our 1 year anniversary and it was absolutely lovely, we are definitely going back! Lynden was so lovely and gave clear instructions that made finding eveything so easy, love our tour of the farm and feeding all the animals that were so friendly! The room was really nice and decorated so beautifully & really appreciated the complimentary snacks. We loved the hot tub, lighting the fire for our marshmallows, and how close the animals got to us! Was a lovely place to stay felt so at home and welcomed, would define my recommend :)

We loved our stay in the shepherd's hut. We wanted a peaceful escape surrounded by nature and it was exactly that. We were rained in for one day but it ended up being our favourite experience- the hut is so cosy, everything you need is to hand, and we could sit and watch the scenery for hours. On the sunnier days there is a short walk to the coast path and the views of the coastline. The toilet and shower is the perfect set up, we also loved the outside bath and the wood stove.

The bed was incredibly comfortable, and all the amenities provided made the stay feel just like home. Our host was fantastic—very responsive, kind, and helpful with local recommendations. Check-in was smooth and hassle-free, and the location was perfect—close to everything we needed, yet quiet and peaceful at night. Overall, a truly enjoyable stay. We were so looking forward to getting to the cabin, but due to personal reasons we had to cancel. Despite the very short notice, Frank was kind and considerate. Overall Frank answered all our questions with kindness, found us a driver to assist us, and showed great willingness to make our stay perfect. Thank you so much Frank!

My husband and I stayed here for a last minute anniversary break. The property was easy to locate and check in. Communication with Danielle was easy however not much was necessary as everything in the details provided were clear. The property and location itself was a beautiful sight and was funnily made special being greeted by the little lambs near the property. There were also sheep and a few horses in the field in front of the property which added to the lovely view. The tiny home is so cozy and has everything you’d need for a nice getaway. We also made use of the hot tub which was such a lovely first experience. Will definitely be happy to return to the tiny home.

Had a wonderful stay at Honeysuckle; a very cosy cabin in a serene location. There are lots of local walks to enjoy and cafes to visit. Great communication from the host and you truly feel tucked away from it all. This was our second visit and we loved it as much as we did the first time. We will definitely be back again!

My partner and I stayed in this adorable Shepard's hut in Ledbury for two nights. I've never stayed in a tiny house/cabin, but have always wanted to. I can say that I was not disappointed in the slightest 😊 Helens Shepard's hut was exactly as the pictures show, if not even more beautiful in person! The surroundings were stunning, with lots of wildlife (mainly birds, so bird watchers would be right at home!), very quiet and private 😊 The cabin itself was immaculate with everything you would need for cooking and cleaning up, nothing was missing! Plus Helen was a gem allowing us to check in early and check out later, we definitely appreciated that 😊 and more so, she was very friendly. I would absolutely stay here again in a heartbeat if I travel up this way again 👍

Wonderfully peaceful location. Sitting outside by the stream in the evenings with a glass of wine and listening to the birdsong was the perfect way to end some busy days at Hay Festival (which was a pleasant 25 min drive through lovely scenery on very quiet roads). Superb hosts, helpful and responsive. The hut had everything we needed and the beds were very comfortable. Would recommend!

Quite possibly one of the best huts I’ve stayed in! (and I’ve stayed in a fair few!). Sharon’s place was just lovely, everything was so well thought out and the dog treats and dog towel were a great touch! Stunning views on the doorstep of the hut, and a great base for exploring the Peak District! Cannot fault the place!

What an absolute gem of a place. Beautiful accommodation in the most peaceful surroundings. The hut was immaculate with plenty of facilities. Sitting in the hot tub with the most amazing views has been delightful. An absolute must to visit to recharge the batteries. Highly recommend this lovely hut - We will definitely return.

We had the most amazing time staying in this beautiful shepherd’s hut. From the moment we arrived, everything felt peaceful and perfect. The hut itself is cozy, charming, and immaculately kept – the attention to detail really made it feel special. Waking up to the views and the sounds of nature was just what we needed. Janine, our host, was absolutely lovely – so kind, welcoming, and thoughtful. She really went the extra mile to make sure we had everything we needed and more. Even decorating the hut with birthday banners. It’s rare to meet someone so genuinely caring and hospitable. The surrounding area is just stunning – peaceful countryside, lovely walks, and a real sense of escape. We felt relaxed and refreshed the entire time. We couldn’t recommend this place enough, and we’ll definitely be coming back. Thank you, Janine, for such a wonderful stay ☺️
