“If you're looking for the perfect place to escape the hustle and bustle of city life - this is it! Alison is a lovely host, very responsive and super helpful. You'll find everything you need in the kitchen - we could cook a full Christmas meal! But we would also definitely recommend a visit to The Crown Inn (in Biggar) if you'd like to treat yourself to a meal out. Comfy, spacious, warm - the ideal home away from home!”

“Absolutely loved our stay in the Shepherd’s Hut. A cosy and comfortable space which was thoughtfully equipped and finished to a lovely standard. The shower and stove were hot and kept us warm despite snowy December weather. Merlin was close to hand and was kind and helpful when we needed some extra kindling and even left us a Christmas wreath on the door. We most enjoyed our wintery hill walk at Coulter Fell and the local fish and chip shop. Will be recommending to friends and family and planning our return trip in spring!”
Quiet cosy retreat set in an idyllic location with stunning views. Ideal for walking, cycling, bird watching or simply to get away from it all. We are only 20 minutes drive from M74 junction 13 so ideal as a stop over on the way to the Highlands. A much nicer option than a hotel, having a flat and facilities rather than just a room. Sorry no pets allowed. Please note there is no mobile phone signal or WIFI at the property.
“A delightful place to stay and get away from life. Paul was a great host with a really nice introduction when we arrived. The setting is incredible and there are amazing walks straight from the flat. We didn’t see another soul on our walks. Everything you need is in the flat but if you don’t fancy cooking head to nearby Biggar for an Indian Takeaway from the Taj Mahal. Absolutely yummy. Five star stay :)”
