Vacation rentals with a patio in Costa Rica

We spent three nights in la fortuna. This was an excellent spot, it was the perfect balance- right in nature with breakfast views of the arenal volcano but also just a 20 minute walk from la fortuna centre (and a 3 min walk to the nearest shop!). Gary and Kim were really helpful during our stay, we really appreciated their accommodating a slightly delayed check out due to car rental issues ! overall would 100% recommend!

Arcadia is the sanctuary you've always dreamt of, especially sunsets. I always made sure I was there to watch the sun go down, as that view is breathtaking. This place far exceeded our expectations, and the host was more than accommodating. Have and would HIGHLY recommend this remote spot, it is everything and more!!!!

Absolute luxury! I ended up upgrading my room from the container to a full size room, and it was 100% worth it for my two week stay. The view of the flowers and pool every morning was divine, staff was amazing; very friendly and helpful, and the room itself was gorgeous. Tall ceilings, lovely sheets, massive shower. Coffee was provided and the kitchen had all the necessities to cook in. This location is enough off the main street to be quiet but close to everything in Tamarindo. There is also a gym only a 4 minute walk away. The pool is perfect to actually swim in and everyone is very respectful of the rules. I only had issues the last week with the room wifi, it suddenly stopped working well as it had before. All in all, this is basically a tiny luxury resort and a slice of heaven. The price was well worth the stay.

If I could give Sarah and her place 5+ stars I would. While her place is off the beaten path, she makes it so easy to find, enter and relax. I have nothing but positive things to say. She has thought of everything, 7 steps ahead; from the guest book digitally and in person, local contacts for boat trips, meals and more! Her communication is superb, always checking in, she answers the crazies of questions with patients and grace. I mentioned it was my dad’s 70th birthday trip and when we arrived she had a birthday basket and HBD message with his name hand painted on local wood. WOW just WOW! Her place is top notch, the best I’ve ever stayed. She made this trip ultra special and I’m forever grateful. Customer service is King (Queen) and she is the Queen. If things ran like she runs her BnB all would been good in the world. Companies should take note. PS I’ve already booked my second trip with her. PPS Usually I try to avoid ABnBs but I will always make an exception for her and her place.

Me and husband stayed at Axels beautiful place for our honeymoon for 11 days. It was even more beautiful than the photos if you can believe it. Waking up to the view of the infinite pool and jungle, the sounds of the animals, just breathtaking. Anytime we needed anything (which wasn’t often) axel responded immediately. Luis was also incredible! We decided not to rent a vehicle and cab everywhere and he hooked us up with the most punctual, friendly driver who came to get us atleast once a day. I recommend trying Luis sisters fresh fish (10/10) We were lucky enough to see monkeys, parrots, lizards, and coaties all from the pool. We did a few tours like horse back riding, went out for dinner most nights, but ultimately during the day we were at the house enjoying the sun! We will definitely be back in the future to enjoy anniversaries. Thank you Axel for have an exceptional place that truly felt like an oasis!

We all loved staying at La Casa Bella! This house sits perfectly atop a hill with views right now to the water! The pool was a wonderful place for our two couples to swim, float and chat! Centrally located to Uvita, Playa Hermosa and to the rustic road that leads up into to hills to the best coffee plantations and family farm. We were surprised by all of the bugs and little reptiles that made their way into the house, but by the end of the trip, none of us paid them any mind. It’s Costa Rica, so Pura Vida!

Finca Totoro is jaw dropping!! The pictures show everything but once you pull in, your eyes will pop and youll find yourself saying “oh my god!” Its stunning. Gorgeous layout, gorgeous views, private pool, private jacuzzi, hiking trails, absolutely amazing. I cannot say it enough, this place is a perfect place to relax, enjoy nature, music, your loved one, its super special. The pictures on airbnb do not do Finca Totoro justice. Its remarkable.

Casa Rebi is an amazing find and place to stay. If you are even slightly considering it, you should book it. The design of the house is perfect for lounging and staying in bed watching the jungle and falling asleep to low hum of nature. Despite all the potential bugs outside, hardly any bugs get into the place. You feel truly taken care of with all of the attention Andres and his team give you from check-in to check out. The house is a little trek from the main road but not too difficult to find. Overall, this is a great find so hurry up and book - you will not regret it.

This stay was absolutely beautiful—far better than the pictures, which don’t capture how lush and grown-in the gardens are now. The space felt perfectly private, yet all the amenities we needed were just a short drive away. It was such a refreshing change from a busy hotel—more peaceful, more comfortable, and really felt like home. One of the biggest surprises was the visit from about 20 monkeys swinging through the trees above us—an unforgettable moment! The vibrant night life in the area also caught us by surprise in the best way. We loved every part of our stay and would absolutely recommend!

We had an amazing time staying here. It’s just the right amount of remote, super peaceful and surrounded by nature, but still close to everything you want to do. Honestly, it was more than we could’ve wished for. The place itself is beautiful, with jungle all around, constant sounds of birds and animals, and an incredible view. Will was an awesome host. Being a local, he gave us the best tips – where to surf, great places to eat, and even where to get the freshest fish (or catch it yourself!). As others have said, you’ll definitely need a quad or a car to get there because the road is bumpy. But honestly, that just added to the fun and you should get one anyway for the best CR experience. When we visit Santa Teresa again we would definitely stay here again. Totally recommend it to anyone!

We had a wonderful month-long stay at Mauricio and Magdalena's home. From the moment we arrived, they were kind, generous, and always available to help with anything we needed. The house truly felt like home—it was cozy, clean, and thoughtfully equipped with everything we could ask for. The fully stocked kitchen made it easy for us to cook every day, and the laundry room felt like a real luxury during our stay. We’re so grateful for their warm hospitality and would happily stay here again!

Airbnb messed up the check-in times. It showed different check in times to me and the host. however the hosts were really helpful and let us check in earlier.
