Kid-friendly vacation rentals in Colón Island

I pretty much have traveled all over the world and this is my favorite place I’ve ever stayed in. The balconies are beautiful and spacious. The pool area was perfect, kitchen is big if you like to cook. The little dock is so peaceful. It’s very peaceful and quiet but not too far from other restaurants and bars. The little beach bar next door is adorable with decent food and great drinks. We loved skully’s bar which was about a 15 minute walk down the road. To get into town is very easy. We used Jose’ as our taxi driver which was recommended by Connor. Also, I highly recommend getting a private boat for the tours of the other islands. Connor gave us a good recommendation. Bogo was our captain and he took us wherever we wanted to go. I don’t usually go back to same destination twice but I will definitely be back here again.

My son and I recently had the pleasure of staying at the Bluff Jungle House Laurel, and I can confidently say it was a slice of paradise that surpassed all my expectations! Nestled in the jungle, this two-story home provided the perfect mix of serenity and comfort. The exceptional service from the entire team truly made our stay memorable. Antonio was incredibly helpful and a lifesaver, while Mayra, the co-host, and Wendy, who attended to our service needs, were always ready to fulfill any requests, whether it was cleaning or laundry, making us feel completely at home. The house itself was spotless and well-designed, offering a sense of privacy that made it feel like our own secluded oasis. You genuinely feel as though you're in your own world here, with neighbors barely visible. My stay was filled with unforgettable memories that I will cherish forever. If you're seeking a tranquil retreat in a breathtaking location, look no further—this is the perfect destination!

Our little family lives every moment spent at the villa! We felt an amazing combination of luxury and home like feeling. Everything was clear, clean, well thought through! Morgan went above and beyond to make sure we had an amazing stay. HIGHLY recommend! Thank you for the amazing stay!

10 Star Rating in our book!! Our stay at the Pool House at Paunch was exceptional to say the very least!!! First of all, Joanna is not your average host... she goes above and beyond in every way! She communicated with me multiple times before our trip and was open to any questions I had. She provides her guests with an invaluable amount of information which 100% made our trip beyond our wildest imagination! She provides this info via a link that can be printed for your reference which I HIGHLY encourage everyone do. We used this information everyday as a guide. EVERYTHING she recommends is the absolute best! She even has breakfast in the refrigerator for your first morning there! We loved every single thing about the house and location!! We felt so at home there! The pool was such a bonus! She is always available to help in any way. We would absolutely stay with her again. We left Bocas feeling like we had made a new friend. She puts her heart and soul into her properties!

The Jungle House at Playa Bluff was a great getaway destination for our 2 families, with 4 adults and 6 children, ages 4-11. The pool was great and the sleeping arrangements worked well for us. There is a decent kitchen, but we mostly ate at nearby restaurants or on our daily adventures. The house is about a 25 min taxi ride from the main town and the road can get soupy, but any of the truck taxis can easily get to the house. The beach is stunning, although not great for swimming with rip tides and currents. The host was super responsive to all questions and I would highly recommend this house. We even saw sloths and monkeys right around the house.

Sandra's home was perfect and quiet, with a beautiful and private garden, and located right in the center of the island. Sandra was very friendly and communicative. Highly recommended! ☺️

We loved the location, just far enough from the town to feel secluded but close enough for convenience. Amazing beach just a 2 minute walk away. Fun and comfy stay with AC and all basic needs but you are in the jungle and that comes with jungle friends. Had some small issues with the water as it is rain water dependant but easily fixed by Helena and her wonderful neighbour Alison. Alison is also great if you have any questions about the island! Overall a super cool vacation and highly recommended!

Very nice place! The photos don’t do justice. About a 10 minute walk from the “main strip”. Very big rooms, two bathrooms. There is also a washing machine which was ideal! Any problems and you get communication straight away!

Julieta’s place is a bit higher than the rest of Old Bank village, so it’s very quiet and peaceful. She has a big garden surrounded by big trees and bamboos specifically her jackfruit trees attracted many birds which we could observe every day from our room! The trail to Wizards’ beach is right at the corner where we saw a couple of sloths! She is very friendly person who cares about us all through our stay by messages, despite she was off the island. Highly recommended!

5 amazing days Alex was very responsive, very present, considerate. The place is superb, between land and sea, splendid view, the cottage is so amazing, a real little cocoon, the little kitty 🐈‍⬛ comes by every day, hugs kisses. We love it The large bathroom, 2 large bedrooms with A/C, very large living space, well-equipped kitchen. It has everything. Close to restaurants ( ciao pizza I recommend ) Taxi just down to take you to town in 10 minutes, $3 per person to town, taxis are also great. To conclude, Alex's Airbnb is really awesome! Ps: beware of guiboles we go up slightly, it's on a small hill but you will take your eyes full!

It was a pleasant stay! We loved the view and the beach close by! :) I loved the talk I had wi the Lily she was very friendly and we realized me and her are probably relatives! Hahaha My partner and I really enjoyed this stay! Thanks again!

My experience in this stay was excellent. The place is as shown in the photos: clean, comfortable and ideally located. The host was very attentive, always willing to help and provide local recommendations. I felt at home from the start. I would definitely recommend and would come and stay here again on future visits. We had a pleasant stay at Ricardo's and his family's. La casita is located on their property in a beautiful garden. The neighborhood is quiet and yet 12 minutes by taxi or scooter from Bocas. You have the small restaurant Dosha 3 min walk which is excellent or Skully's 5 min walk which will also allow you to rent scooters, quad bikes, bikes etc… Ricardo is a great host. He was very responsive, considerate, friendly while respecting our privacy. It even allowed us to arrive well before check-in and leave well after check-out! Thanks again Ricardo;-)

Danielle's place is perfect, very clean, comfortable, is completely quiet during the night, the internet is fast.. it has everything you need for a nice stay. But the most important aspect is the location. It's basically in Colon's central area, you have the supermarket about 2 blocks, restaurants of all kind, the airport is just 3 blocks distance. This is the most perfect location, we will definitely return.

This was our second time staying at this place and it will definitely remain our first choice every time we return to the island. The location is excellent, the space is comfortable, clean and well cared for, and the host is always aware that everything is perfect. We felt at home. Thanks for another wonderful stay!

The place was as expected or better, the location is fantastic because it's in the center area but still not too close to the noisy places, being on the 3rd floor helped. I'd go back to Dea's place, no question about it. There are cheaper and more expensive options around but I think this is a very good sweet spot, everything was clean, we felt safe and comfortable at all times! We had no trouble with the stairs but keep in mind that if you go with someone who has difficulty walking, going up to the 3rd floor where the condo is will be a challenge, we were totally ok with that and as long as you have no mobility impediments, the place is easy to get to. There was a minimal confusion about the locking mechanism at the front door, the bottom locker was loose and we thought it would be a problem but Dea was very responsive and explained how to use the top locker, which was totally fine and eased all our worries. I would recommend it and come back as well.

Bill was a gracious host and knew the island like the back of his hand. I would 1000% recommend his place to anyone looking to come to Bocas. He’s is extremely helpful and accommodating. Thanks!
