Vacation rentals with breakfast in Colchester

We stayed in the annex for two nights while in the area - it was just what we needed after a busy couple of days. Easy private driveway parking, peaceful location, cosy and accomodation including large comfy sofa to relax on in the evenings. The annex was actually bigger than we realised from the photos. Gwyn was responsive, friendly and helpful both before and during our stay and gave us some good recommendations for places to visit. Would definitely stay here again when in Suffolk!

Loved our stay, perfect location for the wedding we attended. House was beautifully decorated and spotlessly clean. Alicia was helpful and welcoming, on hand to answer any questions.

Andy & Carol are very friendly & helped us to settle in with no problems. They made sure we had everything we needed & adjusted breakfast to our personal needs, including GF items. We would recommend their lovely house to anyone looking to stay in a quiet location.

The Old Post Office is a real gem - perfect for a couple. It is beautifully appointed with lots of character. It has a new shower room and kitchen with everything we need. Karen provides a very generous welcome basket - with eggs, bacon, sausages, bread, butter, jam, milk, coffee, tea, juice and a bottle of Prosecco! We didn't have to worry about getting breakfast. Wickham Market itself is very picturesque with grocery shops open until late in the evening. It is a great base for Sutton Hoo, Woodbridge and Southwold - which we visited. There are also two pubs nearby - The Greyhound and the Crown - both of which have an excellent restaurant. Karen is very helpful. We accidently left our cool bag in the house and she offered to post it back to us. All in all, we highly recommend staying here.

Mistley is a charming village (town?) and there is a view down towards the quay. The house faces the Green and it is a quintessential English village scene with the occasional local walking by. There is a pub down the lane which is very convenient. The house is beautifully appointed with every convenience thoughtfully supplied. The decor is vintage charm, and extremely cosy. I will definitely be back to explore the area further and this very much feels like a home from home. Thank you!

We had a great stay in Nina’s home. We were visiting the area and just needed somewhere to sleep for the night. Check in and check out was very easy. Great place for child + dog and Nina was very easy to contact and responsive. Thanks Nina!

This lovely gatehouse cottage is strictly for two persons, small but has everything you need to use as an excellent and most comfortable base. For us, it was worth every penny as it was spotless, comfortable, warm, cute and close to family for a weekend catch up where hosting numbers exceeded the number of rooms available, so this cottage was close enough to pop a couple in for a night’s sleep at the end of the evening. I would certainly choose this venue next time we do a family get together. The bed was very comfortable and bath was delightful by the way.

Had a wonderful stay at Hawkeswade Barn. John was a superb host who had thought of everything. We've stayed in lots of cottages and this is by far the best. We will definitely return.

Sonia is a wonderful host , friendly , witty and extremely accomodating. I immediately felt relaxed in her home and I had everything I needed for a wonderful stay. I can highly reccomend Sonia's home . It is really convenient for travel and in close walking distance of the station. I look forward to my next stay!

We stayed at Stuart's apartment for a weekend and were very happy with our stay. The apartment was clean, tidy, spacious and functional located a very short walk from the town centre with pubs, bars and restaurants all nearby. Would recommend to anyone looking to visit Ipswich or just for time away to relax.

Stay was nice and comfortable. Customer service was incredible- nothing was too much for the guys on our first night. Always happy to help. Will come back once the bar lounge opens as it’s currently being refurbished.

Lovely to have some provisions for breakfast especially the homemade marmalade . It was good to meet Marilyn the owner who made me feel very welcome.

We absolutely loved our stay in Woodditton. The house was beautiful spacious, quiet, and equipped with modern amenities, all set within lovely private grounds. We enjoyed walks along the nearby bridle path and ended each day with a delicious dinner at the local pub. It was a fantastic stay!

Lesley's home was very conveniently located near where our business meetings are as well as all the shops and restaurants that we needed on the 5 days we spent in Chelmsford. Her home is pristine and the room where we stayed is very restful. Lesley is a brilliant host, getting out of her way to provide us with one of the best service we've had in an AirBNB stay and we have been in quite a few. I stayed for 3 weeks doing an educational program. The Nest Box was nicely set up and quiet for studying. It is located in a safe neighborhood close enough to town for a nice walk.

Nasreen was very warm and welcoming and we enjoyed chatting with her while she was showing us around. The room was spacious and very clean making our stay extra comfortable. In the morning she even offered us some sandwiches to take with us to the airport. Truly a thoughtful and kind host!

Amazing short stay at Verna’s place whilst away on business. Will definitely stay again in the near future. The room was really restful, great amenities, and off street parking was a bonus. Highly recommend!

We had an absolutely wonderful stay with Sophie and James. There was myself, my cousin, my partner and our 6 month old boy. We felt right at home and I would give 6/5 stars if I could. I highly recommend James and Sophie’s home, which is spacious and comfortable, but it is the hospitality and their warmth that made the trip to Dedham a truly memorable experience. Also, the breakfast is delectable. Looking forward to hopefully coming back one day soon!
