My girlfriend and I had a fantastic weekend stay at Ally’s place. The house is beautifully designed, spotless, and very well maintained. The furniture is brand-new and high-quality, and the space is filled with artistic touches and charming decorations. Ally and Simon were wonderful hosts—warm, responsive, and happy to help with anything we needed. The neighborhood is peaceful and scenic, which made it perfect for a relaxing getaway. One of my favorite spots was a cozy music corner in the living room, equipped with a piano, guitar, and a great selection of sheet music—ideal for music lovers. We truly enjoyed our stay and wished we could stay longer!

Kiln Cottage Idyllic relaxation

SueRating, 5 stars3 weeks ago
I recently had a wonderful five-day stay at Rebecca's kiln cottage, which truly felt like a hidden gem. The cottage was not only beautiful but also clean, comfortable, and set in peaceful surroundings. Being dog-friendly with plenty of lovely walks nearby made it even better. Rebecca, our host, was incredibly welcoming and provided us with useful information about local amenities. She was friendly, helpful, and always available if we needed anything. Overall, it was a fantastic experience, and I would love to return. Thank you, Rebecca!

The Loft is the perfect getaway for a relaxing stay. It’s not a huge place, but it certainly makes up for that in location, the amenities in the house/kitchen, comfy bed, brilliant shower and amazing views from every window. It is easy to find and Juliet is the perfect host. We would definitely recommend and stay there again.

We had a wonderful stay at the Old Dairy to celebrate a special 40th birthday and it exceeded all our expectations. Miranda was a fantastic host, went above and beyond with local recommendations and clear instructions, and the flexible checkout was a much-appreciated bonus! The Old Dairy is a stunning property with lots of great touches and is finished to a high standard - I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it. We also very much enjoyed the daily visit from the 2 lovable labradors!

Such a lovely place and in the most stunning surroundings, a really very special little stopover on the way back from Heathrow. The place is immaculate and very private with a fully equipped kitchen and utterly gorgeous bedroom, complete with one of the comfiest beds I’ve ever slept in - and I’m very picky! Siriol and her husband were wonderful hosts, friendly and super flexible and helpful with my last-minute booking. Highly recommended and I hope to come back some time to explore the area more!

We had amazing weather for February and took a lovely circular 2 hour walk from the property and enjoyed the tearoom lunch at the end.

An absolutely beautiful accommodation, comfortable & large in a glorious setting. Zoe is so friendly, unassuming & helpful. Encouraged us to wander around her lovely garden, the very old courtyard & surroundings. Her dogs & cats add to the pleasant home stay atmosphere. The breakfast supplies, tea & coffee were very generous. Zoe booked us into a nearby pub for dinner which was a good idea as they can be very busy. There are a number of things to see in nearby towns. We would have loved to have stayed for much longer & will definitely return to Zoe’s if we ever get back to the UK.

The post code address didn’t quite get us to Steve’s front door but we found it without too much trouble. The property is large and the cottage itself was very spacious and comfortable. The kitchen is very well equipped and the welcome pack was excellent. There are a couple of nice local pubs and Melksham is close by. Bath is about half an hour away and there are a number of National Trust properties within a similar distance. A very pleasant property which is recommended.

We stayed for three nights and thought the location and comfort of the apartment were excellent. The owners were away but they stayed in touch and they left us in the very capable hands of Eleni who was available if we needed anything. We were very impressed with the provisions that were left for us. We’ve stayed in 75+ places and have rarely been given more than coffee/tea & sugar. We also made use of the guidebook provided with the listing which had very good restaurant suggestions. It’s obvious that the owners are truly interested in people having a positive experience at their rental.

This little oasis is the perfect place. Georgie and co make you feel so welcome, and you get the joy of meeting Pumpkin and Pepper the cat. The walks around are stunning, but with the views from the hammocks you struggle to get out for the walks at times. Beyond peaceful and with beautiful towns near by. I wouldn’t want to stay anywhere else in the area.

We booked this as our last location while visiting Scotland and I’m glad we did! It was such a peaceful way to enjoy our trip and not coming home feeling like we needed a vacation from our vacation. All the amenities were lovely! We used the tub numerous times, I meditated with the fire going, the fairy lights were magical. Overall, wonderful experience and I would definitely book again!

The Dovecote was beautiful, the quality of the amminities was excellent.. We met Wendy who was happy to share some local knowledge of the pubs and restaurants nearby. The best was so comfortable and the bathroom was something out of a film set.. we will return for sure.

We visited The Potting Shed for my partners birthday, and had an amazing time. Matthew greeted us like old friends and was an incredibly thoughtful, kind and friendly host throughout our stay. He was a pleasure to talk to and made us feel very much at home - his flat coat retrievers were also excellent company! The accommodation was cosy, the garden stunning and Matthew’s breakfast game was on top form - we couldn’t leave before asking for his Birche muesli recipe. This was a really memorable experience, and we would highly recommend booking a stay at the Potting Shed!

Ashcroft Bed & Breakfast (Guest Suite)

PhilipRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
Graham and Natasha are wonderful, gracious hosts, and their second floor two bedroom apartment is probably the best stay we have ever experienced in all our travels. The beds are a 10/10 for comfort! Rooms are spacious (you even have exclusive use of a downstairs den for leisure.) There's even a microwave and refrigerator in your kitchenette. Graham's breakfast is top notch as well! All this, and I haven't even mentioned that the views from the property of Loch Broom and surrounding hills are simply stunning! There is incomparable beauty in every corner of this piece of heaven located in Wester Ross, perhaps Scotland's most underrated region for immense, splendorous scenery! And, this location is an ideal base. Everything was perfect, and we will make every effort to return to Letters and to stay again at Ashcroft B&B. Thank you Graham and Natasha for making our time there so lovely and most memorable. Philip.

We stayed at the Barn for 3 nights at the end of May and had a wonderful time. The place is done beautifully and we felt right at home. Sam left clear instructions and also some fresh milk, OJ, scones and bread for us to enjoy which was a lovely touch. We really enjoyed making the most of the area with walks and eating out- we were provided an excellent info pack from Sam which we found incredibly helpful. We particularly enjoyed Croyde which had a lot to offer and was only 10 mins away (one thing to note is Croyde beach has restrictions on dogs in peak months) All in all, we had just a brilliant time and would go back in a heart beat. Thank you Samantha and Ted!!!
