The Lakeside River House

The cottage lies on the banks of Lake Rousseau. This is a very interesting lake. The lake is fed by the crystal clear waters of the Rainbow Springs system and the dark tannin stained waters of the Withlacoochee River. Back in the 1930's, the water shed was dammed up on its far western edge. The result was a creation of a 12 mile long lake with a river twisting through the center, all of which you will enjoy from your waters edge dock. Come and enjoy the Nature Coast right from the backyard.

Majestic cabin on Fort Brook Farm

Get away from it all when you camp under the stars on our beautiful little farm. Our cabin is a bedroom with queen size bed and a sleeping loft that is a twin. Bring a sleeping bag for loft. This air conditioned and heated cabin has a little extra. There’s a sink, fridge, and a coffee maker with pods in the kitchenette. There’s a great fire pit that also is a grill. We have chairs and table to sit by your camp fire. The restroom and showers are separate. There is not a half bath in the cabin.

It has a porch with a water view, one block from the Gulf, and is in the center of town. Not a stoplight in town. Cedar Key is a tiny fishing village full of artists, musicians, and people who like to fish. Lots of superb restaurants that feature world famous Cedar Key clams and fresh fish. There is a private dock on the intercostal that when the tide is right you can pull your boat right up to. Also Fish cleaning station. We have a BBQ grill and picnic tables available on the property.
