Postcard-perfect Table Mountain view from the couch, balcony, or mezzanine-level bedroom thanks to double-height ceilings and wall of windows. Shared swimming pool, 24-hour security, secure parking garage. Supermarket and gym directly opposite. Close to V&A Waterfront. Great bars, restaurants, shops, and all the cool things that Cape Town has to offer within a stones throw. Convenience is key, no car needed! I have tried to think of everything that will make your stay as convenient and 'home from home' as possible. Enjoy free and lightening fast, unlimited fibre WIFI, Air conditioning, a selection of satellite TV channels, outdoor swimming pool & bbq facilities, free parking and 24 hour security/reception desk. You will love this place for your holiday or business stay! The kitchen is large, fully equipped, and loved by people who cook – it has everything you need. The open plan living/kitchen/dining area opens up onto a spacious private balcony with outdoor seating. The luxurious bathroom has both bath and shower, with free toiletries and plenty of soft fluffy towels. Stairs lead you up to the mezzanine level loft bedroom with extra length, top of the range, pocket spring Serta kingsize bed. Quality linen, separate 3/4 down duvets and luxury pillows ensure that you will have a good nights rest. Plenty of cupboard space for your clothes. It really is hard to beat the location, the block is nestled between the uber cool De Waterkant Village, the City Centre and the Bo Kaap. Loads of top rated restaurants are within a stone's throw, the super cool Bree Street, Heritage Square, and the Cape Quarter are 5 mins walk. Long Street and the heart of the Bo Kaap 10 mins walk, V&A Waterfront 15 mins walk. Company Gardens, the museums and CTICC 10 mins walk. To get to the beaches or the Cable car, you can hop on a MyCiti bus, or take a 10 min taxi ride. I have put together a comprehensive guide, (like a mini Lonely Planet!!) to help you get the most out of your stay with hints and tips of what to do/where to eat etc. I can also put you in touch with an excellent private tour guide if you wish to do some tours (the Winelands and Cape Peninsula via Cape Point a must!!) With super easy access to the main highways, you will be at the airport in 20 mins, and 35 mins you will be in the heart of the Winelands. If you need to check in late, or leave early this is no problem as the security/reception desk is manned 24/7. The loft is situated in the cities trendiest area, De Waterkant. Super central location, but just far enough from the hustle and bustle to relax. Steeped in history with cobbled streets and pretty coloured houses, De Waterkant village has it's own upmarket shopping centre and bars/restaurants. Just 5 mins walk to popular Bree, Loop and Long Street with the finest bars/restaurants, galleries and design shops. Or take a beautiful 20-minute walk along the canals to the V&A Waterfront The new MYCiti buses are a great way to get around if you don't want to hire a car. There are stops a few mins walk from the apartment.

Victorian Charm Steps from Kloof Street

Take morning coffee in a sun-dappled courtyard among pots and eclectic ornaments. African arts such as beaded animal sculptures, masks, dolls, and other well-placed treasures blend with Scandinavian simplicity to create a real home feel. Being an old house, built in 1900 with later add-ons, it has a lot of charm and personality, which includes somewhat unusual architectural solutions.... Guests should be aware that the two downstairs bedrooms and bathroom are next to each other, so to get from the first bedroom to the bathroom you must pass through the second bedroom. Welcome to our Cape Town home, which we hope you will enjoy as much as we do! If you are interested in arts, crafts, and handmade products we hope and think that our home can be of inspiration. The interior of our Victorian cottage has an overall idea: To engage local and African crafters, adding some Scandinavian design where suitable - and always with a smile. Our home is constantly a "work in process" zone, but still comfortable and a typical "lock up and go" place. As our guest you are invited to enjoy the entire house. We may not have the biggest home for rental, but you can easily sleep 7 people here. (there is also an extra mattress available, so 8 people is also fine) Most probably you will not meet me in person during your stay - instead you will meet Chris, my co-host and good friend. Chris will be your contact person, and I am also always available via email and phone. Walking distance from trendy Kloof Street, the neighborhood is still quiet and friendly. Shops, museums, galleries, bars, restaurants, and even Lion's Head mountain are all within reach on foot. Clifton and Camps Bay beaches are just a short drive. Cape Town's MyBus public transport is 3 minutes away, connecting you to the rest of the city. We find Uber the best way to get around in the city, if not walking. Our house dates from 1900 and heritage protected. It is a 'living' house, in the sense that the floors are skew, there will always be new cracks etc. We do maintenance work every year, but it will never be perfect. And this is why we love the house so much, I guess: Perfect, because it is imperfect. During summer heat waves the upstairs room can be a challenge to sleep in, but the newly installed aircon has solved this issue almost entirely... We are also working on additional features to get better air circulation upstairs, but due to heritage laws it takes some time to implement the changes....but they will surely come!

It's a gentle 15-minute stroll to the waterfront, and is at the start of the famous Long Street, which is known for its fine restaurants and bars. The tourist buses and local buses stop right outside the building making getting around a breeze. The Cape Town International Convention Center is but a stone throw away. For exploring wider a field the location is ideal given the close proximity to the main highways in and out of the city. The two main highways in and out of the city (N1 and N2) are right on your doorstep should you be exploring further afield. Fresh milk and water will be in the fridge when you arrive along with a selection of teas and coffee. You can also expect some other little treats on arrival in the form of fresh flowers, wine or champagne and chocolates or biscuits.

The building does also not experience load shedding which makes it perfect for working travellers. The apartment has two large en-suite bedrooms with an additional guest bathroom. The spaces is 144 squares and a beautiful open plan while the bedrooms are separated from each other to offer complete privacy. All the luxuries a travel could desire with a large flat screen TV, dishwasher and even a wine fridge. The entire apartment I am always available for my guests. I am happy to help with restaurant recommendations, things to do and see or assist with any problems they might experience. The apartment is close to grocery stores, a pharmacy, fantastic restaurants, and has 24/7 security. Bree Street is close for those who prefer the social scene and Kloof Street is nearby for fine dining. The apartment is very central. From the apartment is very easy to access all forms of public transport (bus, Uber, taxi) right outside the building door so a car is not needed. If guests prefer, they can rent a car and park in the building. The apartment has allocated parking. The airport is a 15minutes drive The city has many things to offer and guests can choose from day tours, spa activities, hiking, paragliding, drinking something at a wine bar or going to the beach.
