The Tree House Is an Idyllic Family Getaway Nestled in the Valley Behind Table Mountain.

The Tree house offers so much enjoyment for the entire family. Wake up to breath taking mountain views, the sound of bird song and watch squirrels play in the trees. Start your day by enjoying a cup of Espresso and let us take care of your laundry to maximise your play time. The Tree House is child friendly with a big play area for the kids so that parents can sit back and relax on the swing bench, enjoy the Jacuzzi or go out on an adventure in the area! The Treehouse is located in the heart of the Constantia wine route and surrounded by kid friendly restaurants. The beach is a 5 minute ride and closest shop only 1.7 km from the house. There is a young family with kids (6&7 years old) living in the main house upstairs, but the large exclusive and private guesthouse , garden and Jacuzzi downstairs is for your private use!#kidsparadise The Tree House is a large double story wooden home nested in the trees (500 square meters for entire house and 1500 square meters for the property). The bottom floor is operating as a separate house or a guest house and is exclusively rented out for guests. This is your private space. The space includes your own fully equipped kitchen. With the guests private balcony they can enjoy dinner amongst the trees and pop outside to gaze at the stars with each room’s private entrance. Master bedroom has a queen size bed with full view of the mountains and garden with block out curtains to sleep in late or open them up to the sun making it's way over the mountain and lighting up the forestry garden. The second bedroom is large and has 2 beds that can be substituted for a king size bed. The bathroom has a big shower and a heated towel rail. The open plan lounge is large with a dining table and kitchen area that opens up onto a balcony and garden. The large glass doors may be pulled fully to the one side, a perfect place to kick back and relax. A Snooza is also available on request that can accommodate another person. The Snooza can be used as a chair during the day and open up to a single bed at night. That way we can accommodate 5 people. Please note that there will be a charge of R499 per person after 4 guests. Please note we are living on the top floor but you have your own suite downstairs that is completely separate and private The cleaning fee includes the use of the washing machine and we will hang and dry the clothes, but ironing is an extra charge or make use of the iron in your suite. *We have a VW Polo for hire exclusively for Airbnb guests. It’s like lying in a heated forest pool. We do charge R199 per day to warm the jacuzzi up and keep it heated up cost us R200 per day. Should you want to make use of the jacuzzi let us know so that we can heat it up 9 hours before your arrival. A daily fee of R199 per day will be added to your stay should you wish to have the jacuzzi turned on every day. Please note that you can you the jacuzzi as is for NO extra charge, it’s just to heat the jacuzzi that will cost R200. We find that one can heat up the jacuzzi and it keeps warm for several days so no need to keep the heaters on all day every day. But that is entirely up to each family how hot they want the jacuzzi. Guests have their own private entrance. Each room has its own entrance and balcony. Guests can make use of our garage for parking as well as ample parking next to the rooms. Unwind with a glass of Cape wine in the gracious and romantic guest suite with its own vine-strewn garden, or curl up in an armchair by the grand stone fireplace. The spacious and airy open-plan guest suite is ideal for couples and young families. Centrally located in leafy Newlands, within walking distance of the famous sports stadiums, UCT and SACS. The house has been recently renovated and is a family home, and the property of Mount Pleasant is an interesting slice of Cape Town’s history, dating back to the 18th Century. The guest suite is ideal for a couple or family and consists of: - one large open plan bedroom-lounge (sleeps 3 - 4) - a full kitchen - bathroom with bath, shower, double vanity - a private lap pool - private garden looking up to Table Mountain and Devil’s Peak. In summer, lazing beside the sunny pool, dining outside and having a traditional South African “braai” (barbecue) are a must and in winter the roaring fire, full kitchen and TV provide a warm retreat. The bedroom-lounge is open plan with separate kitchen and bathroom. King size bed, a single sofa bed and a further single bed set up in the suite for 4th guest if required. POOL Important: the pool is not protected with a net or fence and is immediately adjacent to the suite so please be careful and we do NOT recommend the suite for infants/children who cannot swim. The unit includes secure gated parking for one car, and Ubers are widely available. You can also explore Cape Town via the MyCiti bus, which has an extensive route network. There are several bus stops adjacent to the apartment, and the central Queen’s Beach station is just a couple blocks away. For outdoor enthusiasts, the Sea Point Promenade – which is just across the road – is a great for a morning walk or run, and bicycle rentals are also available. In terms of security, there is a groundskeeper onsite 24/7. The house is spread over 3 levels. A 3 car private and lockable garage on the first, main living area inside and outside on the second level and bedrooms and bathrooms on the top and 3rd level. All levels are accessible by stairs and is therefore not wheelchair friendly or will not suit guests with walking difficulty. Accommodation is made up of 3 bedrooms and 2 full bathrooms. Toilets are not separate but there is an additional guest loo on the second level. The house has a small private swimming pool, fire pit and gas barbecue. Pick n pay and a great variety of restaurants are just a short walk away. The property was newly renovated in 2015 and refurnished October 2016. For the duration of your stay, you will have access to the entire home. I am phone call away to assist with anything you may need during your stay. There is a full kitchenette with oven, hob, microwave, fridge and freezer, an en suite bathroom, lounge area with a large flat panel TV and an open-plan dining area. The apartment is serviced daily except for Sundays and public holidays. We have solar and battery power so are not affected by power outages. The bright and airy cottage interior has high vaulted ceilings, together with a selection of books and magazines to read to enjoy in the bed made up with 400TC luxury linen. Battery backed up Wi-Fi and additional lights for surviving load shedding. No smoking allowed on property. Guests have own cottage with a private, shady courtyard. Herbs in planters in courtyard and dart board are available for guests to use as well as lemons on own lemon tree. We're an international family consisting of a South African, a New Zealander and a Norwegian. One of us will always be available on our phones and we're happy to chat and share a G&T on our porch if our guests are up for it! This guesthouse is in a quiet neighbourhood, about 15 minutes by car from town and near to vibrant Harfield. Closer still, the village offers a farm stall, butchery, and supermarket within a short walk, plus coffee shops and lots of restaurants. We always recommend uber for short term stays in Cape Town but there is an off-street sheltered parking available if needs be. 10 minute walk to Kenilworth train station and 2 minute walk from Main Road with frequent taxi buses in both directions.
