Waterfront vacation rentals in Canterbury

I think this is my fourth stay in this lovely flat. It’s the perfect place to stay. In a peaceful part of town with the most amazing views and, if you are lucky, the most extraordinary sunsets over the sea. If you are a swimmer it has the extra benefit of being very close to the stunning Walpole Bay sea pool. Swimming there are sunset is a wonderful experience.

Loved the beach access, straight out on to the sands and nice garden to sit in. Easy to use TV with helpful instructions. Lots of kitchen stuff to cook meals, not that we did. Found Chris extremely helpful and very comprehensive instructions for parking, checking in, and all the facilities including photographs.

Well located flat, easy to walk into town, with a great sea view. Max sent clear instructions and was happy to help otherwise. Thanks for the stay.

The flat was fantastic. I’m very picky about cleanliness, but I couldn’t find a single fault in that home, everything was very clean, and there were plenty of towels. Nothing was missing. White dominated the whole place. Loved it!! I would highly recommend it to everyone, and we’ll be back soon. PS: Vanessa, we’re so sorry, we couldn’t find a pen to leave you a note in the living room notebook, but I guess that’s a sign we’ll be coming back.

What a fantastic place - location is superb and right on the beach with short walks to the great restaurants, bars, and cafes of Marget. Amy was super helpful and responsive. Place was clean with stellar accommodations for both kids and adults. The decor is really impressive - love what they've done with this place. If you have a chance to stay here, don't pass it up.

Fantastic flat in an amazing location right on Viking Beach. Host was easy to communicate with and flexible (I got an earlier check-in than the listed 4pm). And they leave a fantastic welcome basket that included stuff like locally produced lemonade and crisps, coffee/milk and essentials like loo roll. The flat is very clean (though the carpet could perhaps have a deep wash in a couple of spots) and quiet at night. You’ll just be listening to the waves as they roll in 😃. Bed is super comfy and the bedroom and lounge are very homely. Bathroom was top notch with a walk in rainfall shower. I was woken one morning by the pub down the bay loading/ unloading beer barrels 🤣. But I simply woke up and sat on the balcony. Flat felt very secure as there is a door to the building, a front door to the flat then a further internal door you can lock. Fantastic location for town, Margate, Ramsgate and beautiful coastal walks. I stayed in this flat in 2017 and 2025 and will book again.

Excellent value stay and perfect location for a trip to Ramsgate. Very communicative hosts made everything as seamless as possible. Great stay.

Eleanor was so helpful and very responsive during our stay! Her flat is amazing, very spacious we were pleansantly surprised. The views are great and it’s very convenient :) highly recommend!

We had a great night at the wedge house. It’s a very cool quirky little house. Brilliant location for Adventure Island. Not the hosts fault but the street itself is quite run down and we had to listen to the boy racer cars all evening. But didn’t take away from the stay because us and the kids had a great time. Ria was very helpful as a host and was so kind to put up balloons and banners for us for my daughter’s birthday. I would definitely recommend for a trip to Southend.

From the moment we stepped inside River House Rye we knew that we had chosen he right place ! A real home from home, but with a unique design that we simply wouldn't dare to do ... such a great place to stay and so easy to explore Rye without moving the car off the very spacious drive ! Globe pub very close by, provided ideal location to eat & refresh as did other places that Helen recommended. Even a little drizzle couldn't spoil our visit .... simply fantastic! We will definitely return 🫶

Perfect house for exploring Margate with family and friends. Has everything you need and with beautiful sea views. This is the third time we have stayed and will definitely be back.

Booked this for my Husbands 70th. 5 couples so, having a bedroom with en-suite for everyone was a real find. The location was superb, everything in walking distance. Sally provided recommendations for a dinner on the Saturday evening. We went to the Royal Hotel (across the road). It was a perfect w/e and the weather helped. We had sea views and right on the front. Cinema room in the basement was fab and we couldn’t fault a thing. Thanks Sally

The house was amazing and THE VIEW was incredible. I cannot recommend this place enough. I would more than come back here again. But if you’re looking for a sign to book this place, this is it!! This is such a lovely apartment, in the best location in Broadstairs. We walked everywhere and the hosts sent us some helpful instructions about restaurants and other sights we might like to see. Highly recommend!

Great property. Pics don’t do it justice. We really felt at home. Super close to the beach and park for the dogs. So many amenities, even a spare toothbrush - which i had forgotten at home. Thank you for having us.

Amazing last minute stay! Amenities and extras were brilliant, had everything we needed and more. As for the flat itself, it was very spacious, homely and so much natural light. The views were the selling point and they didn’t disappoint! Nikki was a great host, responded fast and would do anything to make the stay special. Can’t wait to return!

Alizja was an excellent host, very responsive & provided clear instructions for the property & things to do in the area. The property was well located & comfortable for our needs. The walk to the Reculver Roman fort was wonderful! The Ship Inn, just around the corner is a lovely friendly pub. We really enjoyed our stay.

We are just on our way home from a lovely stay in Herne Bay with our two children. The apartment was immaculate and roomy, enough space for us all to stay comfortably and we very much felt at home. Unfortunately, the weather wasn’t on our side but the apartment is right opposite the beach and easily walkable to shops and restaurants. We would definitely like to return in the future! phoebe was a fantastic host with great communication. the apartment is in a brilliant location very close to everything. on the days we wasn't out exploring until dark, we watched the sunset from the window. the views from the apartment are worth booking it alone!
